I purchased a Groupon and drove far across town for what I thought was a good deal, however it turned out that using my health insurance would have saved me more than the Groupon deal, and they would not allow me to combine them. (My mistake for not checking on this first) However upon realizing this I said I would just like to use my insurance rather than the Groupon and was told the Groupon "cant be reversed". I asked if the price of the Groupon could then be deducted from the amount that I was paying them for the (overpriced) glasses/frames. The receptionist asked Dr. Alsop & she offered to deduct $20, no more. The Groupon was $55. It also would have been nice if she could have stepped out for 2 minutes to discuss this with me in person rather than just having the receptionist come tell me no. I had just left the exam room & she was not yet with another patient. Dr. Alsop was friendly during my exam but I was less than impressed with the customer service after the fact. There was also a considerable wait time. I will not be a return customer nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

Worst experience ever! 1. They overcharge for premium fittings for contacts (which even though I told them upfront my daughter was getting one, giving them ample opportunity to tell me of their $150 fee), they waited until after the eye exam (and of course collection of the money) to spring it on me so I would be trapped. The normal fee is $95, and maybe $130 on the top end, but thats about it. Try anywhere else, Dr. Bock, Dr Wirz, or any number of other centers. It would have been nice if they had been upfront about their overpriced fee. 2. I told them specifically I did not want to order contacts from them, and instead I just wanted my prescription. They ordered them anyways, and rather conveniently, the only lady who could "fix it" was on vacation (or so they said). I had to go to my insurance company to retrieve the money and be able to order them elsewhere. Ive been in glasses or contacts for over 30 years, and have 3 kids in glasses and/or contacts, and have never ever had such an experience. Patient beware!

Made two appointments for myself and my daughter. I received a confirmation email that my appt was at 4pm. We showed up 20 mins early only for the receptionist to come tell me Check in was at 3:15 and they could only see one of us because her next appt was already there. Who has to arrive to an appointment an hour early if its not surgery. I inquired as to why I would not have known this and explained that weve never had to arrive this early before and that my email also read 4 she was very unconcerned, gave me no eye contact and just said "mmmhmm" with an as a matter of a fact response . Needless to say we wont be returning. Before the other doctor passed, thhe staff that I remember was very welcoming and polite. Also the young lady that I handed my insurance cards to placed them on the counter to rerun them to me which I find to be very rude if I handed them to you. They Eye Place is 2 minutes up the road. Ill give them a try.

While the doctor is friendly, some of the office policies are shady. They will not provide your PD (pupillary distance) with your eyeglass Rx, because they want to force you to purchase your glasses directly from their office. I purchased both a pair of Rx glasses and Rx sunglasses previously from their office that totaled more than $700, and still they refused to give me the PD so that I could purchase a backup pair of sunglasses for $50 from an online source. I will be finding a new practice for my annual eye exams. As you read through these reviews you will notice a common theme on all of the negative reviews. Dont expect compassionate care; its about how they can get the most money out of the patients.

I have been going here for years, and I have always had great experiences. I love everyone at the office- especially Angela at the front desk. She is always so helpful, and always has a smile to greet you. This group has always looked out for me and made sure that whatever I need- contacts, glasses, etc., they help me to fit what I need to my budget and insurance needs. As long as they are here, I wont go anywhere else!

Good on keeping time as my eye exam was scheduled for an hour and it lasted an hour. Received my new pair in two weeks which was expected. However, when trying to order online a pair of RX that they dont carry, the center would not provide the PD value, citing liability. So now, this center becomes the only source of glasses for any patient. I will look elsewhere for next eye exam.

Great customer service. Dr. Alsop takes her time and is always very thorough when I have questions and concerns. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I"m across town, but it is well worth the drive to have care from someone who takes her time and listens to you. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Wasted a lot of time, phone calls, and money for nothing. Got better service and faster contacts with Wal-Mart vision care. I will have to go back to them to get the contacts I need but never got, and will have to pay for it out of my own pocket.

I was very pleased with the exam, the doctor was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The staff was friendly also. I just wish they had a broader selection of eyeglass frames because I have to go elsewhere to have my glasses made.

Wonderful! I was given lots of time to make certain my prescription would be correct and then a lot of time to choose my frames. Everyone was very helpful and I was seen right away. I would definitely recommend them!
