If you are a migraine sufferer and premenopausal, I bet the frequency of those migraines have slowly increased with each year. I went from having a migraine that lasted one day two or three times a year, to 14 days out of the month with a migraine and the some sort of non-migraine headache the rest of the month. After appointments with my internist and gynecologist who were unable to help me, I met with a neurologist who prescribed a medication that helped me be able to function, but I was still getting migraines five or six days out of the month, having trouble concentration and "out of it" for a couple days after each migraine. During an appointment with Dr. Dima for a non-related issue, she suggested trying hormone replacement therapy. That suggestion literally gave me my life back. A series of blood tests are taken to tailor the amount of hormone you receive to your particular need. Every 3 months, Dr. Dima inserts pellets into your buttocks and thats it. Takes 15-20 minutes and is painless. I have just finished my 4th round and my migraines are 90% gone. If I do get one, I only have to take the medication prescribed by my neurologist once and it is gone. I cannot thank Dr. Dima enough for solving my migraine headache after a six-month-long migraine! I tell her that every time I see her. When Dr. Dima explained hormone replacement therapy to me and the results women were experiencing, it sounded too good to be true. I was shooting for some relief, any, really, and I got my life back. Dont wait 6 months to explore hormone therapy if my story sounds a little bit like yours, Go see Dr. Dima!

A friend recommended Dr. Dima to me, so I scheduled an appointment for an evaluation. I was skeptical at first and Dr. Dima was very understanding and suggested that I try using her products to see how I liked them. She gave me some samples to take home with me. I did not tell my husband that I had seen her or was using her products and after three days he surprised me by commenting on how good my face looked! I went back to buy more products and signed up for a series of Venus Freeze treatments. I am now in my third year of receiving the Venus Freeze treatments every three to four months and I continue to use the regimen of products that were first recommended to me after my initial evaluation. I have received many compliments on my skin and am very pleased with the results I have seen. I think my skin is tighter and at the same time very natural looking with a more even skin tone and a smoother feel. When you walk into WellMedica you immediately feel relaxed in a calm and quiet waiting room. The staff is professional and efficient, but very approachable and helpful. Dr. Dima takes her time, gives full explanations to all of my questions and is very personable. She works with me on my limited budget and always makes me feel like I am a valued customer. I am not one to go to the doctors but I noticed a change in my skin, what looked like a scab that did not heal and thought I might want to get this looked at. I was in the Reston area so I called Dr. Dima’s office. After taking a look at it Dr. Dima stated “let’s be safe, remove it and send it off to the lab”. So in a few minutes the good Doctor removed the tissue and I declare victory. She said if it scarred it would be minimal. So off I went dismissing the matter. A week later I got a follow up call. The lab results were positive for skin cancer. Dr. Dima told me to get my butt to her office sooner rather than later. So, back to the Doctor. I had visions of Loreana Bobbit, a woman with a knife, oh my!! Just kidding!! I did know she was a Board Certified Laser Surgeon and knew I was in good hands. So back to her office I went and into her trust. I did not even feel the needle as Dr. Dima numbed the surgical site. Thirty minutes later, I walked out with a slightly larger incision in my chest, that is already fading, and with a few do’s and don’ts. Yesterday I received a follow up call from the good doctor. The results we great; no more cancerous tissue to deal with. The bottom line is I am fortunate to have had Dr. Dima take care of me. Had I not seen her things might have been much worse over time. Her knowledge in skin care and skills as a surgeon may add years to my life and for that I am grateful.

WellMedica was recommended by a professional friend who is in the beauty business. I was very impressed with the atmosphere from my very first appointment. Relaxation takes effect when walking through the door. I travel over 90 minutes for appointments and have recommended her office to family and friends, who have had appointments as well. This includes my 12 year old son. Dr. Dima has a no-nonsense approach to her business. She listened carefully to my needs and offered my medical treatments in a spa environment. I first met Dr. Dima when I was interviewing her for an article on great area doctors for a magazine. In her waiting room were reading materials on anti-aging. At the time, I was experiencing severe hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms. My then doctor was pushing me to go on hormone replacement therapy, with my resisting it due to the research I had done. Once Dr. Ds interview was over I asked her about the bioidentical hormone therapy she advocated. She took the time to explain it to me and I booked an appointment and started the treatments, which within a week, made me feel normal again. My care since then has been superlative. I have never felt rushed or talked down to. My questions are always fully answered and Dr. D is always current with all new research. Which is why after years of being on BiHRTs, she urged me to switch to the hormone therapy pellets after noticing my hormone levels down. Once again, she was right and Im back to being myself. I have recently moved out of NoVa, but feel its worth the trip to continue to see her. I highly recommend her.
