Terrible experience with a doctor here. Had been having moderately severe leg and back pain for weeks before finally deciding to see a doctor. Waited over an hour to only be seen for literally 5 minutes. She barely touched me for an examination (had me lift my leg against her hand). She didnt even ask where the pain originated, to rate it on a scale, or how it was affecting me and my body much less any other diagnostic questions. She then proceeded to tell me the pain was from "my gait"(this was without her ever asking me to walk for her), that I need to lose weight, and talked for the remaining three minutes about how I need to quit smoking. She gave me a prescription for ibuprofen and muscle relaxers and dipped out; I am not exaggerating when I say this happened in a 5 minute span after waiting for over an hour. I went to OrthoVa the next week, to which the surgeon was astonished to hear this and amazed they didnt even try to take X-rays. After a thorough examination and xrays he determined that I was pinching my sciatic nerve, prescribed me PT and diclofenac. Doing much much better now, with no thanks to Patient First and that particular doctor. I wasnt going to review, because hey, everyone has a bad day every now and then and doctors are no exception, but I actually had some severe stomach pains today and had to return to them (stupid on my part) but hoping maybe that particular doctor was to blame, only to be treated with the same sort of service. Waited over an hour, they did draw blood and took a urine sample during that time so theres that, but then yet again when the actual doc showed up I had maybe 5 minutes with her (a different DR this time). She said it was a stomach bug, and after I told her that Ive had many stomach problems throughout my life and that this was an 8 on the pain scale, she said theyve done all the tests and theres nothing else she can do, and if its that bad to go to the ER, all of this said very unkindly and rudely. Im debating on going to the ER at this point as its lasted all day, but I sure as hell will never give my service or reccomend this place to anyone, ever. The only reason they even get one star is because 1) it wont allow for a 0 rating, and 2) the nurse and wait staff were actually exceptional in their service and treatment, more so than most other doctors offices, and especially more so than the two terrible doctors Ive spoken with.

Id only recommend visiting this clinic if youre on your last leg, even then Id just go to the ER. The doctors are clueless and wait times can be very long. Why is it that every time I come here, they never can figure out what the issue is and I have to be sent somewhere else for something minor. My last visit was the last straw for me. Ill drive myself to Parham or Short Pump with two broken legs, just to be treated with dignity before I stop here again. Stopped in to get my prescriptions rewritten because unfortunately they were destroyed. Well, reception and the nurse gave me the run around and had me waiting for 2hrs. They checked my ID three times, and at one point kept it for 30mins for unknown reasons. When I finally got to speak to the nurse she was very condescending and just too rude for my liking. I was informed that my meds would have to be sent directly to the Pharm (even though, I suggested this 2 hrs prior) and that it was odd that I was not able to get the meds filled. Youd think I was trying to run a drug cartel and get more scripts for narcotics or something. Nope, just trying to get some antimalarials, drugs for allergic reactions and travelers diarrhea for international work and travels. The icing on the cake was when the nurse informed me that the doctor on staff didnt believe in antidiarrheal meds and that I didnt need them because she didnt need them for her vacations in Mexico. Thanks, honey but Im not vacationing, nor will I be in Mexico. Im going to Zambia and would just like to be able to get my meds. Ended up not even being able to get the prescriptions; nonetheless I can expect a very exciting adventure abroad for all the wrong reasons. (:

These people are the worst, it may as well be a drive-thru referral pick up. The doctors make no effort to diagnose. Ive had a constant headache for over a week now. When a blood vessel in my eye popped I decided to go get checked out. He talked to me for maybe one minute. There were only four patients in the place and two were seen before me so being in the weeds was not the reason I got so little time. He asked me questions, then interrupted me answering to ask other questions. He was paying no attention to what I was saying. Then he decided the answer was a shot of something, and get a second opinion if it returned. The nurse told me it would wear off in a couple hours. Im a grown up, I dont go to the doctor because I have a headache, I go to the doctor when I have a headache that has persisted for 8 days straight. The nurse suspected maybe it was a vision issue so she brought the kit in for him to do an eye exam. He never even acknowledged it was there. Several years ago I went to this location because of an intense pain that I later found out was an abscessed tooth, the dentist told me it was one of worst she had seen. In the pre-screen when I was asked what medication I was on I told them Zantac. I realize that it sounds similar to Xanax, that, paired with my accent, makes me always clarify that its the heartburn medicine. In another example of them putting forth zero effort she wrote Xanax. I was promptly accused of fishing for pills, after again clarifying, and sent away. You would be better off visiting a witch doctor than visiting this place. Its the Wal-Mart of medical care

My service here was HORRIBLE. I got here before they closed, with a 9 month old whod had a fever earlier during the day, and after waiting 30minutes, I was initially told by a nurse named Barbara that they may want to do xrays, and its too hard to hold an infant down, so I needed to take my daughter to an ER, so that a pediatrician could see her & she could be strapped down Then, I was told by Dr. Carmen Holmes, that she was the only board certified pediatrician in the city of Richmond, & her recommendation was that i take my daughtwr to the ER, my response was if youre the only board cert. Ped. Then arent you more qualified than the ER? she then stated that she didnt mean to say that, she meant at patient first. So I again asked if she was denying my daughter care, and why, she then stated that she is not equipped to see an infant with a fever because shed want to run a cbc, blood culture, catheter, and urine culture, and dont have those things. I told her that she didnt even evaluate my daughter to know what she needed, she didnt take her temp to see how high it was now, or even if she still technically had one, so it seems my daughters care is being denied for no reason, or more so because they left me waiting so lobg, and now them going home after they have now closed, is more important than my daughters health and well being. This is location 11, and I will be filing after complaint with the state depth of health and whoever else I can file with. This is a pitiful example of what our health care and providers have come to become.
