I had such high hopes for this practice as our family tries to be as holistic as possible, utilizing synthetic medications only when absolutely necessary. The theory of the practice is great, but the actual production is a joke. If your child is sick, take them somewhere else (KidMed) - there are never any "sick" appointments available unless they are one-week from the time you call, but by that time, you or your child should be over the ailment. Furthermore, I have never met a more inconsiderate front desk. I had arrived to my scheduled appointments (with children) on time, but waited 30 minutes in the lobby before asking the front desk if the doctors were running behind. Note: Im ok with doctors running behind, it happens - I just ask for the courtesy of informing me in order to set expectations. One of the front desk reps barked at her colleague, while on the phone, "theyre running behind!". The rep that was conversing with me then told me that the doctor was running ONE HOUR behind. Tired, sick, and annoyed, I asked whether anyone had the common courtesy to inform their patients that it could be over an hour wait before even being called back... Enter the "deer in headlights" look. Silence. Oh what the hell. Then I was informed that I could wait (duh) or reschedule (no way, I had to make the appointments 3-weeks in advance). We eventually were called back. Nurse was apologetic, the doctor was not. She blatantly said "any way!" after hearing me out... then proceeded to inform me that I need to be "patient". After doing her doctorly duties, antibiotics out the wazoo were prescribed. After discussing a possible hereditary allergy, the doctor STILL prescribed the antibiotic and suggested we just have benadryl on hand just in case a reaction occurs. Integrative medicine - what a marketing scheme, equaling cha-ching for said doctor. I will be looking for another practice. Parents: if able, take your kids to KidMed on 610. They are awesome.

If you ever want to see the real doctor, dont go here. If you value your health, dont go here. Ive been a patient for months, and have yet to see Dr. Villarreal. On top of that, I am disgusted with the poor care Ive received here. My first visit was with Meghan Burke. I have a highly complicated medical history. Meghan gave me all of 5 minutes, and was ready to walk out the door when I asked her if we could please review my medical history. She very snottily said she could read. And that was the end of our visit. Ive been in and out of the hospital, and have such a complicated medical history that it would be impossible for her to read and understand. She didnt even have my medical records to read!!!!! And if she did, it would take her months of daily reading. I fully expected that as a new patient, she would want to understand my history. She even admitted she had never heard of one of my illnesses, yet showed no desire to learn or hear about it. My next visit I avoided Meghan, and was seen by the P.A. I had been sick with double pneumonia for weeks, and choosing the right antibiotic depended on blood work that was ordered by this office. He absolutely refused to look at the blood work. Saying since this was a sick visit he could not also look at blood work. Ive never heard of anything so ludicrous, especially when choosing the proper treatment depended on the blood work!! Fast forward 2 more weeks, and Im still severely ill, and we need to know what these blood tests show. The labs are still incorrectly showing as pending. The office needs to call the lab to figure this out. I called the office, and got the run around, and have yet to receive a call from the nurse. I told the front desk repeatedly that the test is still showing as pending, and this needs to be rectified as it is critical to determining the next step for pneumonia treatment. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else!!!!!!

DO NOT GO TO EMBRACING HEALTH. from lying to other offices, to lying directly to me, to actually breaking the law. Keep reading. A friend referred me to embracing health, she said she loved them and I had been having issues finding a good dr so I decided to give them a try. First visit went okay, they do a lot of bloodwork for all new patients, cool. The frustrating thing is you have to make ANOTHER appointment to even get your results. I can live with that. Heres what I cant live with. I met with Jie Howe (not sure if shes even a dr.) about my irregular cycle she literally shrugged and said theres nothing they can do. I also have thyroid disease and asked her to order me an ultrasound on it since I was due for one. I got it easily enough. However, upon getting the results, her nurse helper (who is rude) said I needed to get a biopsy. Ive done biopsys before so I asked how big it was to see if I really needed to get one. They had no idea. (Shouldnt drs know how to read ultrasounds) She suggested I also go to an endo. I asked my old dr to send embracing health my medical history and they did no issue. Every time I called embracing health they said they didnt get the history. I called my old dr, she called embracing health and they told her they did have them. So theyre lying to me. Not cool. I asked embracing health if I could have my medical history and they said no, so congrats on breaking the law! I made an appt for the biopsy on my own however the biopsy facility called me and said they tried to get my biopsy order from embracing health and they told her Im not a patient with them. I personally called and they gave me the run around saying they never said that, they never got my med history, they never said I should get a biopsy, and they refuse to give me an order for the biopsy. Embracing health is refusing to help me get my health under control. DO NOT GO TO THEM!

When my family first started going here (3 years ago) Dr. V was great for my wife. Since then they schedule appointments 5 min apart and you rarely ever see an actual Dr. because that take months to schedule. I call in prescription several times before they ever get filled. I never liked Embracing Health myself. I went several times for eczema that Ive had for years. 3 times I was told that I should "fix my gut". Which means they feel if I lose weight (I was about 30 over then) my eczema that Ive had for 20 years will just go away. They would not give me prescriptions for my eczema, I had to go see someone else just to get the meds that I have been taking for years, prescribed by 2 different dermatologists. Then once I went in because I hurt my arm and thought I might have hurt a ligament. They gave me a topical cream to try (a trial they must get paid to push). I get home and research it and it was for healing scars. I ended up at urgent care for the treatment I actually needed. Dr. V is a quack. So often she would send my wife home with "eastern medicine" suggestions, things that have no basis in science. She even once told my wife to buy a Himalayan Salt Lamp to “remove the negative energy from the air.” This is dangerous because my wife takes the word of her Dr. A simple Google search debunks this stuff and it should be illegal to practice medicine if you believe this stuff. The medicine they practice is considered harmful by 97% of the medical field. The final draw was when they are charging $150 for lab results for my wife. They literally handed her the results and the results of a Google search and asked for $150. When we refused to pay, they told her not to come back. This office is now just a patient mill.
