Classy Canine Country Club

Ive consulted with Dr. Molitor at South Bay Veterinary Hospital for 4 or 5 years; hes superior to other vets Ive had in the past when lived out of state. I haven’t really been to other local veterinary hospitals since moving back to WA and got lucky getting him at an emergency visit, originally. He and all employees care deeply about their four-legged clients and the owners. He helps manage one of my dog’s chronic health issues. Quite honestly, I will always consult him first if I have a choice. I’m not the easiest client because I usually have fairly clear ideas of what I can, cannot do, am willing and unwilling to do, to assure a good quality of life for my pets and want as much information as I can get to make the best decision possible; I also need to remain within my budget. Dr. Molitor is highly knowledgeable, easy to talk with, and always provides great management options for my mob. I very much appreciate everyone at South Bay Vet.

This is a wonderful place to take your Pet. I took my dog Benny in to be examined for breathing problems he was having, through an exam they found that Benny has severe allergys.They also found that he had some dental work that needed to be done.They treated him for his allergys and within two days had him in for his dental work. They did an outstanding job on my dog.I look in his mouth and his remaining teeth sparkle and no more doggy breath. I just want to let any-one who is looking for a fair priced state of the art facility for your pet this is it. They do it all. A special Thank-you to Kim who was like a second Mom to Benny on both his visits.They definitely were fair on their Prices not like some of these vets in town. so again Thank- you to all at South Bay veterinary who helped in making Bennys procedure a pleasant one. I have 4 dogs and a cat, and they have all been treated at South Bay for years. We had an emergency this week, and now I know why I take my animals there. We were met at the door by several of the staff, and my lab was taken straight in and they went to work on her. They kept us informed on her progress the entire time, and if it wasnt for them, she would not have made it. I cant thank them enough for all they did. They truly care about the animals that come thru their doors. The doctors are amazing, and the staff are caring, and compationate. I am very thankful for Dr. Molitor, and Dr. Shoemaker. I wouldnt know what to do without them.

I did quite a bit of research on Vets in the area before deciding on South Bay Veterinary Hospital. Their diagnostics and progressive care are what sold me. When I first called and told the receptionist that I had recently rescued a Red Australian Cattle Dog, they set us up with Dr. Molitor because he has a love for the breed. During our first visit, Dr. Molitor and the South Bay staff let my new dog explore their exam room and get to know them before doing her checkup and giving her shots. I appreciate the care they showed us and highly recommend South Bay to anyone looking for a Vet in the area.

Wonderful, Dr. Mulitor always explained treatment options for my Yorki, Viktor. Doctor would give discount if multiple treatments required. Our Yorki was his patient for 14 yrs. Staff is professional. Building is kept very clean and smells normal. When it was time to put our dog down - Dr. Mulitor took us to a private room and stayed with us. Encouraged us to spend as much time with our pet as we wanted. Compassionate doctor. I would have posted this sooner... just couldnt talk about our dog :( Chris & Randy Skeens

Amazing vet, they always treat my baby so well. Yesterday my dog got hit by a car I called the closer vet where he was hit wouldnt see him because they were closing. Calling them a five minutes away, giving them only a few minutes noticed they saw me pull up, met me at the door and took my big boy out of my hands and immediately to the back. I was so grateful they took him last minute and he came home with me yesterday. I couldnt imagine what would have happened without their services. Wonderful sympathetic staff.

I wont be going back. Went in for a simple shot and skin irritation. The vet tried to sell me expensive meds and expensive unnecessary tests. She wouldnt give my dog the shot I went in for. She limited the antibiotics so I would need to come back for a bunch of expensive follow-ups. If I agreed to everything they tried to sell me it would have been $500 to clear my dogs skin infection. Highway robbery. Save yourself the stress and money and find a more honest vet.

Not giving five stars because I have been there only once, for a kitten checkup. It is well out of the way for me as I take the bus, but they were recommended to me. The staff were very friendly and even gave me a plastic cat carrier for free with a warmer in it (as I had been using a cardboard box and it was raining). They seemed gentle with my kitten, I will be going back there despite the walk for the next checkup.

They are the greatest! If there were more stars they would get them from me. Dr Shoemaker has taken care of all of my animals for a decade and I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. She explains exactly whats going on with your furry friend and what that means for you taking care of them at home. All the staff are amazing and I love that its very apparent that everyone here truly cares about both you and your pet.

We have taken our 2 dogs to South Bay Vet Hospital, our daughter in Portland has taken her dog here, and our son and daughter in law,, who live in Seattle, have brought their dog here also. Each experience has been a good one. The staff at South Bay is very caring, and their prices are reasonable. We would recommend them.

All the vets here are very knowledgeable and friendly. Our vet Dr. Shoemaker was so kind to our cat Pepsi when she was sick and dying. Sometimes they put you on hold for a long time if they are busy with someone at the counter but Thats my only complaint. The facility is clean and new and has a dog side and a cat side.

General Delivery

Staff from this hospital voluntarily came over to our business which is a short walk from there and removed two stray pigs when they found out that the pigs were there. Three employees came here and put them on leashes and walked them back, taking these two 200+ pound animals off our hands. We cant thank them enough!

Dr Molitor is a great veterinarian, not only has he saved my dogs life, hes helped all of my pets when theyve needed it. Im greatful to have such a good person in our town taking care of our pets! His nurse Kim is top notch too. South Bay animal clinic rocks!
