I have been treated increasingly more poorly by this practice over the five years I have been visiting them. Aside from the fact that the first three of four appointments I made with them resulted in me showing up at the office and them not having a spot for me--or in the system--they are extremely lax in filling prescriptions. For example, there have been multiple cases where Ive gone through withdrawl due to them not filling my antidepressants. I am on a high dose of them--you cannot suddenly discontinue them because it puts you at risk of death. I had to call and leave a nasty message (My pharmacy had tried three times to contact this office, in this instance) asking them if they were trying to kill me or not. Recently Dave Holt called my pharmacy and berated my pharmacist over a name change. And he also kept misgendering me; and when the person that has been treating you for five years misgenders you intentionally to a whole staff of pharmacists, it hurts. Not to mention that there is NEVER and instance in which a provider should call a pharmacist and berate them. A patient should never get a call from their pharmacist when theyre nearly in tears over the treatment theyve gotten from your doctor! Dave became increasingly more inappropriate during my time visiting him. I did not want to learn that he directed a porno, but he did. I did not want to learn about his extreme electrical-play device called the Relaxaciser, but I found out anyway. And worst of all, when I complained about not wanting to visit Dave any more due to him making me uncomfortable, the best I got was apologizes from the office staff. No question as to why such a thing may be occurring. Recently, while I was still with this office, I was told multiple times that they could not fill my prescriptions because I was under Apple Health. Ive been on this health plan for about a year, and have been getting my prescriptions filled for the last 10 months and there wasnt any problem then. The short version is this: if you have to depend on medicine so you dont die, Id be very, very careful coming here. There is a good chance youll be forgotten about and neglected, or at the very least, belittled behind your back. They put up a good front, but Id hate to hear what theyre saying about their patients behind the scenes. BEW

Oh geez where to start. Well first off when I started with this clinic four years ago it was wonderful. Its hugely declined in the past year or so. To start they hired a new front desk person her name is Katy she talks to you like youre the biggest inconvenience of her day. Seeing as shes the first contact anyone has with the clinic youd think theyd at least make sure shes polite. The bigger problem here though is Dave Holt. I was thinking the problem here may have just been me but after reading all of the reviews here and on Facebook almost all of the clinics bad reviews pertain to Dave Holt. Anyhow my experience with Dave is that he just doesnt really care anymore about his patients. The last few times I had been in I felt I was just being rushed out to get the next person in. But seeing as you have to call almost a week in advance to get an appointment I suppose this makes sense. But what is the point in have a primary care physician when youll most likely have to go to a urgent care clinic when you need to be seen the most? My next concern is hes the worst with prescription refill request. From reading the other reviews Im not the only one to have this problem with Dave. My last issue was with my anti-anxiety/depression medication. My pharmacy faxed him on three separate occasions over the course of a week and no response. At this point my pharmacy had to advance me twice. Finally they couldnt advance anymore. So I call the office myself on the weekend and am informed that he cant be bothered with refill request on weekends so I explain to the receptionist that with it being a depression medication I cant stop cold turkey otherwise you basically spiral into a depression over the course of three days. After going round and round she finally gets a hold of Dave who is pissed that Id bother him on the weekend. I told him if hed responded to the first three faxes my pharmacy sent we wouldnt be having this conversation at that point it was refilled but this whole experience was enough for me to go find another clinic. save yourself the trouble and find a doctor elsewhere.

BEWARE! Complaints against Capitol Hill Medical with Attorney Generals Office and Department of Health. So I have been a patient here of Dr Holts for many many years. Sadly the staff and care are no longer looked at and it is just about money...well at least to front of house. Donita Baines is completely awful, rude and extremely disrespectful with their ugly behavior. Manager walked out with a slight attitude where I didnt even feel like explaining and just sat down and made a complaint with Attorney Generals Office, Department of Health and other places. Sad when what was such a beautiful amazing place loses their friendly and welcoming personality and is filled with so much ugliness...

I have only had exceptional service as a patient at Capitol Hill Medical. Dave has been wonderful, and eases my anxiety at my visits with light-hearted humor. He answers questions I may have without judgment, fills my prescriptions on time, and Ive never had any billing issues or staff issues. Both of the front desk staff treat me just fine. It makes me sad to see that others have had different experiences. I believe that the attitude you bring in is the attitude youll be met with. This goes for any encounter in life.

I moved my provider to Capitol Hill Medical recently. I saw Dave Holt. He is very warm and easy going and did a physical exam and addressed all my questions. He also made sure I was keeping an eye on my skin - I am very fair skinned and he took time to take a baseline of my skin so we could be on the lookout for changes. I didnt have any immediate health concerns, but Im really happy to have a gay provider who knows the right questions to ask, and is someone I can be completely open with.

Ive been a patient here since 2010. Dr. Chu provides the best care Ive ever received anywhere, ever. He does his own intake and keeps his scheduled appointments every time. The office staff is friendly, efficient. Billing is always spot on and utilizes my insurance coverage to minimize out of pocket expense when possible. Refill requests by my pharmacy using efax are always promptly completed. Never had a single complaint. Thanks, Dr. Chu.

The doctors are nice and efficient but one of the office staff members looks and acts like hed rather not be there. And when hes on the phone you can watch him roll his eyes. Its very rude.

Not a good experience. Confusing billing. Very, very poor communication and office management. Avoid this place. Definitely better medical practices in the neighborhood. Quack!

Kicked me out because I was Dr. Chus oldest patient.
