I rate ADVANCED DENTAL CARE, DR. XU, AND HIS STAFF FIVE STARS! (Id give them TEN STARS if Google+ would allow it!) My name is Guy Steele. I am a patient of Dr. Kevin Xus ADVANCED DENTAL CARE in Tacoma, Washington. Recently I had a cleaning, exam, and some fairly extensive work done to fix a couple of damaged teeth. The location is so convenient-- right on Tacoma Way Boulevard, off the I-5 Freeway, near the popular Tacoma Mall shops and restaurants. There is plenty of parking and the ADVANCED DENTAL CARE building is new and handsomely appointed. It boasts a very comfortable atmosphere. (Even a soothing fireplace to sit by, although my wait was minimal. I enjoyed a complimentary bottle of juice. Thanks!) Both the dental and office staffs are friendly and professional. DeAnna and Maria were a pleasant start to what could otherwise have been a stressful day. My teeth cleaning procedure was painless and thorough, and the hygienist was informed and thoughtful. Next was the examination. It was also very thorough and I knew I was in good hands with DR. XU. He is meticulous and gentle. A total perfectionist. The entire experience required only one visit and my teeth look and feel wonderful! I can recommend ADVANCED DENTAL CARE, DR. XU, AND HIS WELL-TRAINED PROS to anyone in need of an excellent individual or family dentist! THANK YOU, ADVANCED DENTAL CARE OF TACOMA, WASHINGTON!

I called to ask a question and Marie, the lady who answered the phone, was EXTREMELY rude. How do you expect to keep a good reputation or get new patients by hanging up on them after 1 question? You dont know who is calling, so you should use those customer service skills when answering the phone. I have 2 different types of insurance, & I only called because of the reviews. The Dr & other employees might be great, but if you have to talk to Marie, she might hang up on you. I could have asked which insurance do they take instead of asking about Molina first, but regardless of what I asked, she shouldnt have hung up on me. A company like this doesnt need a person like her answering the phone. Very disappointed just by the phone call. I will look for a company that treats people with compassion Customer Service fail. Horribly. As an owner of a company, this person would be fired. I would not tolerate this behavior from ANY employee. Thanks. Nikki

There are not enough words to explain how wonderful Dr. Xu and his staff are. I have been a patient for about 8 years, and I am a tough patient for any dentist to deal with. I use to be terrified of the dentist and would have panic attacks in the office. When I first met Dr. Xu he was so nice and patient with me, he joked around with me that one day I would leave his office smiling, and he was so right :) I can honestly say that after 30 plus years of going to the dentist this is the first time in my life that it doesnt scare me anymore. Being someone with high anxiety, Dr. Xu has been nothing but kind, understanding and patient with me, even making room for my husband to sit by my side, and hold my hand during cleanings. The whole staff is amazing, I wish I could give you all 10 stars for being so freaking wonderful! Thank you so much for everything you do.

This clinic is AMAZING! I have been going to Dr. Xu for 2 years now and have never left without them leaving a memorable impression on me. This clinic is especially great at ensuring the patient is comfortable and treated in a timely manner. Further, his work is surely amongst the best I have ever received! He is both gentle and detailed in his work. If you are apprehensive or a little scared of the dentist there is no need to be if you are going to Advanced Dental Care. One of my most favorite things about his clinic is that he has TVs hovering over the chairs and headphones for you to use while you are getting your dental treatment... this makes it easy to zone out and watch a TV show while he takes care of your dental needs. If you are in the market for a new dentist there is no need to look any further... you will not be disappointed!

Before I met Dr. Xu and his amazing team, I was absolutely freaked out about going to the dentists office, and my LACK of smile proved it. My teeth were horrible to the point of thinking that there was no way of saving my teeth. Dr. Xu took the time to find out my whole situation: my finances, my hygene habits, availability..etc. Dr. Xu and his team made a complete plan and followed it to a TEE. There were no surprises, and I am a hard man to please. He payed attention to the slightest details and didnt patch things up, but to make his dental work last. Now I have a beautiful smile, and a whole new confidence. Dr. Xu and his team are one in a million. I give Advanced Dental Care 5 STARS! I cannot express my gratitude for Dr. Kevin Xu and his team.

I moved to WA a year ago and I was looking for a dentist, Dr. Xu came highly recommended by several co-workers. Not only did they tell me how great Dr. Xu was but most of all was how professional and courteous his front staff was! To me, they set the tone to what type of service you will be getting from the rest of the team! I work in the healthcare field and customer service is key to success and this office has it all! I highly recommend this office. Good job team!! Note: I had to have my mouth numbed today and Dr. Xu was so gentle and had so much patience... I didnt feel a thing!! He IS THAT GOOD! They also use warm water to rinse your mouth which to me is awesome!! No shocking cold water for me anymore!!

It makes me very happy and confident when I read so many positive reviews about a company, especially a dentist. It takes a pretty amazing Dr for someone to come out and admit they actually like going to the dentist :) I have been researching and looking around for a reputable dentist to do my veneers & since Ill be paying up front I dont want to go in with hesitation. With even the 2 ""negative reviews " (which seem more to me like patient errors rather than the dr) Im still excited to get in touch with this Dr and hopefully get started! Dr. Xu is the best dentist Ive had. He combines a gentle touch, skillful technique, and a profound intelligence and commitment to health, healing, and the medical/dental profession. When he took my mercury fillings out, he did research from a medical/dental perspective and shared the results with my doctor so that my condition was treated properly. Even his Novocain shots are gentle. He rebuilt my "bite," and now my teeth fit together when I close my mouth. Ive NEVER had a dentist as capable as Dr. Xu in ALL AREAS. I highly recommend him. Everything about my experience at this office has been above and beyond! I definitely have quite a bit of anxiety surrounding dentists, but Dr Xu made me not only feel comfortable, but also was extremely reassuring and informative. In addition, I received a follow up call from the Dr himself making sure I was comfortable and doing well. His office staff is just as wonderful. A truly good experience, and I have found my dentist!
