This place was absolutely awful. I would rather give it zero stars but that is not an option. I went in because I had been sick with pretty terrible chest pain and trouble breathing/swallowing as well as that morning my mucus had a good portion of blood in it. The receptionist was horribly rude and very unhelpful. She was angry with me because my insurance card did not have the billing address. So I made a simple phone call for her to find it, easy peasy. But Im not there to see a receptionist, so I shrugged it off. No big deal. I get called back by the nurse and he weighs me, asks me a couple questions, like height, date of last period, smoker or not, drinking habits and so on. I tell him. Then I wait for the doctor. The doctor, or LPN as I am to understand, says, So what is wrong with you? She was incredibly rude and abrasive in her demeanor. I let her know what is going on. She says, you just need more vitamin D. She spends about 15 minutes going over vitamin d and how I am not getting enough and that is why I am sick. At this point, Im pretty annoyed because she hasnt bothered to check on me physically at all. I ask her if she is going to even check me because while I understand her concern about my lack of Vitamin D, I am more concerned with my health at this moment. So she finally, VERY begrudgingly takes my temp, does my blood pressure, checks my ears and throat and breathing. After doing so she states that I have bronchitis and an ear infection, but only because I’m not taking enough vitamin d. At this point, I am pretty angry given the service I have received, and just want to get out of there. I ask her if there is anything I can do about it right now, other than Vitamin D, and she prescribes me some stuff. I get to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription that she wrote for me. And what she prescribed me has a very bad reaction with the medication that I told her I am on, both verbally and written in my paperwork. Too risky to take together because the side affects can be life threatening. So then I have to wait for the poor pharmacist to figure out why she prescribed me that and get a different prescription set up for me. Overall it is clear in the atmosphere and the "treatment" that I received that they do not pay attention, are not concerned with their patients, and seem to be very clearly on their own agenda. I was absolutely disgusted with the lack of care that I received. I rarely go to the doctor, in fact this was the first time in over 6 years. I am 28, and am generally healthy and very much try to fight all illnesses off with plenty of water and rest. I would recommend finding anywhere else to go.

I went here yesterday for strep throat. The receptionist would not charge my insurance because we are just moving here and have out of state licenses. She said she would charge me and then I could be reimbursed from my insurance agency later. After I called around and found another urgent care in cascade park that would just charge my insurance instead of me and had asked them on the phone if they were the same urgent care as other ones because the names are the same they said yes that they are connected to the ones on St Johns (that I was at) and the one on 99th Street, so I went back in and told the receptionist at St Johns this cause we were still in their parking lot and it was the most convenient. I thought maybe she had misunderstood something and thought our insurance could only be used in GA or something. The receptionist was very rude. She told me, I dont care what they do in other ones we dont do that here. I wont do that here. So you know what we did. We drove over to cascade park to the same affiliated amily urgent care and was able to be seen there where they had absolutely no problem billing my insurance first and not me. I think it was ridiculous and insulting. My biggest problem with it is this. People with less money live around the St. Johns urgent care. I think the message here is we dont think you will pay your bill and you dont have enough money to pay your bill with us. Why would you want to take money from people that have less when you could charge their insurance company, so what if you dont get the full payment that day and you have to send them a bill for the co-pay. Its about customer service. And I am a customer. I go there and I pay you. There are multiple places for me to choose from and I will never go to the St Johns Urgent care again. I urge you reading this not to as well. Go some where that treats you better, not like a thief that is trying to steal their services. Why are people with less money being asked to pay more out of pocket and receive less of a standard. This is the second time my insurance has been turned down at this place. The first was years ago when I was active duty military and had Tricare. They didnt even try to run it then. My Mom lives here in the St Johns area. This is were I grew up. It sickens me that people here are getting treated this way. Its classist and its wrong.

Went here today on 7/20/17 @ 0800 the front lady with long brown hair was kinda rude to us shes like you early I said because of the paper work and she gave me a stink face. The nurse took us back she was extremely nice nothing bad to say about her at all. But the female Doctor name Cheryl Einerson was really rude she didnt even ask me what my medical conditions are and she started saying its going to be extremely hard for you to get any help to get assistance because you dont know whats causing the pain Its not like I had a MRI done wait I did and seen a specialist for the types of conditions I have. But she would not listen to me at all and NOT look at my medical Records I had very nicely set in a hard vinder... Anyways short story dont ever go to this place its a joke they get paid by the state and will always take there side :(

The LPN that first saw me did no examination, then sent me to physical therapy. She often told me to get a job (this was an injury at work). She acted like an insurance rep, actually, and never performed any medical care whatsoever. Probably the worst care provider I have ever seen, and Im not young. Dr. Thornton, on the other hand, immediately did an examination and sent me for x-rays that very same visit. Upon reviewing the x-ray he referred me to Rebound Orthopedic where they began treatment. They do have an experienced and compassionate physical therapy group next door that works with them Reception was average, the LPN was incompetent, but the nurses and Dr. Thornton were amazing and highly skilled. If you go here, just see the real doctor, and avoid the LPN.
