I have been taking my pets to Dr. Nothnagel for over 20 years, the care he offers is excellent! He is very pragmatic, offers sensible care options and affordable pricing in comparison to other clinics. I once called to compare the cost of some tests between his clinic and a west side clinic in Madison and his rates were more reasonable. So I asked his staff person why he charged less for these tests and they replied "he wants to be sure people give their pets the care they need." I was so happy to hear that response that I decided right then I would always drive across town to support his business. The Sandhill staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating as they patiently take time to answer my many questions. Dr. Nothnagel has cared for four of our dogs and our cat over the years. Some surgeries have been required and I have always felt very comfortable with our pets in his care. Many thanks to the Doc and his staff for the fabulous care they have given our beloved pets over the years.

Im a new cat owner, and when I sensed something wrong with my cat, I called Sandhill Pet Clinic as a new client. They got me an appointment right away the following morning. As it turns out, my cat had a medical emergency and without their ability to get him in as early as they did, who knows what could have happened. They were extremely kind, explaining everything and giving me an estimate before they proceeded. My cat stayed with them for 3 days, and they invited me to come any time I pleased to visit with him. They all knew he and I by name and treated us like family. Their pricing was reasonable and the care they provided was phenomenal. I will definitely continue going to them, and I would recommend for anyone looking for a vet!

I had never gone to a vet before, and Im really glad I chose Dr. Fred. For starters, they were able to schedule an appointment the same day I called. When I arrived at the clinic, the doctor and his vet techs were so great with my cat (who was none to pleased to be there). They were gentle and professional. I honestly had a smile on my face the entire time. And then to top things off, it cost about half of what I thought it would. All in all a great experience. Id go back there in a heartbeat for my future vet needs.

I just moved to town and had a cat with an infected anal gland. I called them just as they were closing and they were so kind to extend their hours on a Saturday afternoon so I could get the cat in. I so appreciated it! From the look at the other reviews, it looks like I lucked out and found a great vet right away! My cat is usually petrified at the vet, but they handled her well and she came out without escalating into a fury, despite undergoing very uncomfortable prodding.

Moving to a new town and finding a new vet is always stressful. I read all the reviews I could find and gave Sandhill a try, and theyve been seeing my pets for the past 3 years. Dr. Berg somehow makes my skittish cats stay on the table, and Dr. Nothnagel diagnosed an unusual cause of my dogs sneezing and cleared it up when nothing else worked. Also, theres Lynsie, who will just make you glad you came in. I couldnt be happier that we found Sandhill.

We adopted a puppy and took it here just to get a check up. They were nice and friendly the first visit, but wanted to run all of these unnecessary tests to get our money and take advantage of first time puppy owners. After this, I do not recommend them as they became a lot less friendly when we denied a test they recommended. There are many different vets I would recommend before going to Sandhill.

Absolutely LOVE our vet! Both vets are very knowledgeable and compassionate, and they are never judgmental. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other vets and they always try to make time for us when we need them. They offer a discount for care of dogs in our rescue organization and treat them like family. Love our vet! Thank you for everything Sandhill staff and docs!

Very Very rude receptionist. 4 minutes late for an appointment and told I had to reschedule. My dog is very sick and Inhave been waiting on this appointment for almost a week already. They did not care. Told me that if I did not like that to "take my business to some other vet". I certainly will. Will never again attempt To patronize this place.

Dr. Fred and his staff go out of their way. I called them today 20 minutes before they closed b/c Id found that my cat had blood in his urine. They were able to get me in just 15 minutes before they closed on a Friday night. Dr. Fred is extremely friendly and approachable - and his staff is gracious and helpful. Highly recommended!

Dr N and his staff are amazing! They go way above and beyond to get to make you and your pet feel comfortable. The did a no notice house call when we put down our precious lab this year. We have been around to several other vets and finally feel at home. Thank you Sandhill! & Jen for referring us!

Dr N and his staff have taken wonderful care of both me and my dogs. Both dogs have required surgeries over the past three years and he has been very compassionate to their needs and my nerves. I drive over an hour to see him because of his dedication to affordable, quality care!
