I took baby lion (My everything) named Yellow to this facility, he was healthy, vibrant, full of life as you can see in the recent pictures. Literally the love of my life. 2 months later he was dead. Ill explain. Yellows growth on his rectum was a sudden development, he was eating less. I scheduled an appointment. Yellow had no symptoms of a emergency need for care. I thought his anal glands needed to be expressed/ had an infection. I thought scheduling an appointment with a vet, not an animal ER would be the most responsible thing to do. He would have a primary vet to take care of everything & the prices would be logical, respectful, & sane. Right? Vets do surgery. Everything would be fine. Well figure this out I told myself. On the day of my appointment, Yellow started meowing in pain & it made me nervous. I called to see if I could get in only 2 hours earlier than appointment. (I scheduled apt a week prior). The receptionist said it was possible but it had an emergency vet charge. I understand, an appointment is an appointment, my cat is not well, but my apt is in 2 hours? Really lady? So I wait to go to my appointment, I arrive at the facility & everything seemed wonderful, new clean looking building, flat screens on the walls, free bottled water, coffee machine, fabulous! Everyone was friendly, the vet assistant I saw first was friendly, Dr. Toro was calm, kind energy, also friendly. Heres where the façade ends. After the inspection of Yellows anal mass, the Dr. got a bit awkward (if thats the best way to put it), I think he basically knew this wasnt a typical medical issue; diabetes, FIV, FELV, heartworm, ringworm, a cold? (Not to put any less severity on those ailments but Yellow literally could not eat & defecate, what is worse than that?) He recommended X-Rays, blood work. He took the X-Rays, brought them in to me on a laptop then showed me how backed up he was with feces. It left me speechless, confused, unprepared. He just kept calmly pointing his finger at the feces and growth of the mass & didnt have much else to say. All the while Im in shock, literally foggy, I was getting dizzy, the Dr. was overall speechless too it was TERRIBLE!!! Dr. Toro then gave me some time alone and left the room. WTF!!! He basically got as much money out of me he could in that session ($500 in X-Rays, and blood work; then shipped me off to... you got it! -The damn gouging unaffordable animal ER!!! Im at a vet, youre a doctor, I scheduled the appointment, are you kidding me! He stated because it was so late in the day he couldnt even do the enemas to flush out the back up. (How ironic I tried to come in earlier). USELESS expensive visit. I was sent off to the Lakeshore ER in Oak Creek. $2500 later to hydrate him, flush him out & biopsy the mass. They send Yellow home with me with pending biopsy results. Whats really messed up is; why is no one giving me surgery removal options? How much to remove the mass? $2500 could have been put toward an immediate surgery. I got in touch with Dr. Toros office again to see If I could get my prescriptions cheaper, the receptionist tells me they dont carry everything I needed. (Why you are a vet clinic?) Refers me to the pet apothecary pharmacy in Glendale, in which the receptionist tells me it is open Sat. No lady it wasnt. SMH. Finally I tried Dr. Toros office to try to schedule a consult for surgery removal options. Lakeshores was $5000, perhaps...AGAIN Dr. Toro had something more reasonable. The receptionist at Toros office was like "Well hell get back to you. Were not sure if he can do the procedure." Are you kidding me? I felt so uncomfortable calling them. We played phone tag, and I gave up on ever contacting this clinic again. Yellow died in my room, curled up on my bed, starving, weak, I told him to "Let go baby." T_T. DR. TORO, Yellow needed IMMEDIATE MASS REMOVAL SURGERY, you and Lakeshores lack of direction caused this fatal and devastating loss. Sending me off to an ER was a temp fix, and emptied my wallet for what was really needed for him.

We absolutely love Oak Creek Veterinary Care. Dr. Toro is a fabulous vet. Not only is he knowledgeable, he is very gentle with our nervous Weimaraner and exuberant GSD/husky puppy. When our puppy Vergil retained one of his baby teeth, Dr. Toro even drew us a diagram to demonstrate what types of things would be done during a procedure to remove the tooth and why. Anytime he recommends something, I feel Ive been fully informed. We are in a bad financial place in the last few months, and they have been nothing but understanding and pleasant. Nobody is ever judgmental or condescending about our circumstances (a problem weve had in the past with other vets). The front office staff (especially America and Lisa) are so pleasant and cheery on the phone. Both our dogs love them and the vet techs. They used to be terribly afraid of having their nails trimmed, but now they seem to enjoy going by to say hi. The practices building is beautiful, everyone is so professional and friendly...all four paws all the way up for these guys! Oh yeah, and the prices are absolutely fair. Equal to any other vet weve been to in WI, even though the facility and equipment are brand new. Awesome.

They just opened, so its a brand new facility, and everyone seemed really excited and friendly. Robin, our vet tech, was great and really knowledgeable, and we saw Dr. Toro. He took a fair amount of time to talk with us about an issue with one of our dogs, and he had good bedside manner. You can tell the people working here love animals, and thats exactly who we want taking care of our furry family members!

I love Oak Creek Veterinary Care, and would not take my beloved Cat Clawdia anywhere else. Dr. Burgette and her staff are wonderful and so caring. I recommended them to a friend, and she made the switch yesterday and they gave her the same great attention and compassion. Thank God for OC veterinary care.

They were able to help our dog with an emergency surgery last minute. Dr. Toro and staff were very professional and understanding. We never really had an assigned vet for our dogs but we found one here and we dont hesitate to refer them to other pet owners. Great place for pets to be taken care of.

Waited an obscene amount of time for a SCHEDULED appointment. When finally seen, no apology or explanation. Nurse was rude, doctor a bit better. Pricing way too high for what they provided. Would not go back and would not recommend. The only plus side was it was clean.

Spacious, well designed and clean building. Im a new pet owner, and Dr Toro and Vet Tech Aubry took time to educate and help me care for my 2 fur babies. I felt very comfortable and confident in their abilities. Online resources are nice and scheduling is easy.
