Worst hospital ever. Went to Kings County because I feared that a clot had formed in my legs.and I was having slight chest pain , being that I am 20 weeks pregnant my midwife advised that I go to the emergency room. I was admitted to labor and delivery triage easily and was told there were 2 patients ahead of me. After being put into a triage room at 11:20am they must have forgotten about me because 2.5 hours later and after a nap in the room, I decided to ask a nurse what was going on. After being told "we told you it would be a wait" I asked to be discharged so that I could go to a different hospital. At this point the nurse called for a director who asked why I wanted to leave. After informing her of my long wait and the seriousness of a clot traveling to my chest and my past dvt history along with my chest pain, I was told "sorry we are understaffed today, but thats very serious I will check you out myself and get you to do a Doppler" it then took another hour to be examined and finally get my blood taken. I was sent down rather quickly after that and spent 30 minutes doing a sonogram, the fastest part of my entire visit. Next I was taken back to labor and delivery and told I had to wait again. another hour passed When I asked what I was waiting for now I was told No clots were present in my leg but that they may have broken off and be circulating in my body. After 6 hours of waiting I decided enough was enough. And left. I was required to sign paperwork stating that i understood the clot could cause death to the fetus and myself, which is exactly the point I was trying to make while they had me waiting. To add to the general disregard for the well being of patients, not once did any nurses ask if any of the expectant mothers wanted water. The nurses all walk around upset with either their lives, patients, or other nurses you just cant tell. Time management and budgeting issues greatly affect this center and although in my neighborhood I will never return to Kings County. I said it the first time I went but I am convinced this hospital is the worst ever, and Ive only been twice. For any emergencies I may have in the future I will definitely take a Cab to a different location.

This hospital needs new competent hospital management, customer service courses and 89% of the staff needs refresher courses in their fields. If you go anywhere that has a public restroom the cleanliness of it tells you a lot about the company. The prenatal clinic bathroom on the 6th floor in the d building is pass disgusting there was blood and urine on the floor for the whole day and when staff was told to contact housekeeping they were so rude and just ignored me. I guess where they come from they are use to filth and bad attitudes. Plus you will get an appointment for 3pm and be lucky to see a midwife or Doctor by 5:30pm. Then if you ask the staff a simple question they act like they want to fight you , I guess its due to them not knowing the answer and just posing in their scrubs like its a fashion show. Then they give you an appointment that benefits them instead of the patient. There more lazy nurses than actual qualified doctors and midwives that can see you and move the process faster. Then theyre is the higher level staff that are on their personal cellphones while they are suppose to be giving you your prenatal care and have the nerve to ask you the patient what to put in the clinical notes after they get off their cell. Unprofessional Who hires these ppl? Worst staff ever . Then the lab on the 6th floor has dry blood on the walls and seats. The phlebotomist uses the same turnerkit to tie everyones arm to draw blood, trust me I was there for 4 hours I saw. The sonogram department in building s will make u wait 3-4 hours when they only have about 5 patients for the whole day.

This hospital deserves no stars at all for several reasons 1.My brother had a blot clot in his lungs and he collapsed on arrival at the hospital. My mother had to struggle to find a wheel chair to get him into the hospital, when they got inside the nurse had the nerve to make him stay in the waiting room. He was unconscious . After my mother complained to several people they brought him into a room where he stopped breathing and was coded. He almost died because of the terrible nurses here. 2.My grand father died here because he was given him the wrong medication. 3.The staff is very rude. Not to sound biased or racist as I am from the west indies, but that is the worst group of west Indian nurses ever. 4. The labor and delivery is terrible. There was like 10 other women in labor waiting with me to get triage. Two women sitting next to me water broke and one actually gave birth while waiting. 5. I brought my son to the er because he was lethargic, throwing up, & not being his usual over active self. The head nurse told us that a child with a heat rash was a priority over my child who was just lying around not moving. 6. I came there at 9am with severe chest pain and abdominal pain and was still waiting at 1pm without being seen. 7. a lady died here a few years ago and no one knew she was dead until an hour after she died because she was being neglected. I advise you stay away from this hospital the service is pure bs.

No respect or sensitivity training. These people are medical "professionals" but act as if they have never encountered LGBT people before. Its hard enough for transmen to feel comfortable at hospital settings but this was an absolute disgrace. This place is NOT LGBT Friendly and they violate all kinds of hippa laws. Was here for 12 hours and had three different doctors. I am transmale and they kept misgendering me! Also, the nurse who took saw me first made the mmost rude comments and questions. She first asked where the issue was. I told her "i am transmale, pre op bottom. The issue is in my private area". She looked puzzled as if she never heard of transpeople before. Then she asked "well are you a man or woman?". I just stared at her at first in shock. Then she adjusted her glasses and asked AGAIN. And i repeated "I AM TRANSMALE". She had me pull down my pants to show her the "issue". And then she laughed, smiled and said "omg i thought you were a boy. You look so much like a young man". THE MOST INSENSITIVE, IGNORANT INHUMANE SERVICE. Not to mention, all the other nurses GOT IT. She on the other hand kept misgendering me PURPOSELY. That west indian bullsh*t. We are all entitled to our beliefs and ways of life but when you let that interfere with your professionalism and work ethic it becomes an ISSUE.

I dont know what a dirty hospital looks like but Ill say it looks clean. I went to the ER as a result of eczema I had on my little finger. I wasnt moisturizing my hand as often as I should so it started turning into sores. Furthermore the winter makes it worst. The waiting time was shorter than I expected and it was even empty. The employees in the front desk were extra rude for no reason. Its not my fault yourll voices are so low. My advice to people who dont like their job is please quit because you could ruin someones entire day. I like that the doctor was friendly and tried to make conversation even though I was agitated. I dont have a problem with the hospital or the waiting time but the cost is simply ridiculous. I spend 2 minutes with the doctor and 45 minutes waiting for my prescription paper which I decided to throw away and buy a different cream( $8.99) from my local drugstore but yet still they sent me a bill for $870.32.I want to know for what. My heart immediately felt for people who couldnt afford healthcare. Now I know why most people simply refrain from going to the hospital. Will I ever go to the hospital again? Hell NO, not even if I was dying!!!! From now on I am going to the herbalist and have already began researching about herbal medicine.
