Wow... That was a huge change for the better. I used to take my two dogs to bark slope for grooming and prospect park animal clinic for vet services after being dissatisfied with the previous owner of the 6th ave clinic... Used to being the key word. One visit with the new owner, Dr. Gaylord and Im completely sold. He seems really bright and had a great vibe about him. He was very attentive and listened well. I never felt like I got that sort attention of decisiveness at the other clinics. The new owner here seems like hes a straight shooter and also really seems like he genuinely loves what he does... Was very impressed The groomer there was great too! Made my pups look as beautiful as ever! One of my dogs has half a front paw and she did a great job working with it! I liked the job that bark slope did but this place is $20 cheaper per dog and I got an appointment the same day I called. Bark slope takes forever to get an appointment. Nice to do both in the same place on the same day! Highly, highly recommend! Very happy after 7 years of being a dog owner in the hood, that I finally may have found a place that Im completely happy with...

Id been happy, though not thrilled, with the former 6th Ave Animal Clinic, and was curious how Dr. Gaylord would strike me. Glad to say hes an affable, knowledgable vet whos on top of the latest trends and research but conservative in his approach: he wont try to push treatments or products on you. My dog had a quick and easy checkup recently, and a dental cleaning today. The cleaning was actually less than I thought itd be, but the results were fantastic nonetheless. My dog had no after-procedure pain and youd never know shed spent the day at the vet. Dr. Gaylord is making the rounds of the neighborhood lately, including a visit to FIDO at Prospect Park this past weekend, and I encourage you to check him out if youre looking to switch vets or find a new one. I look forward to caring for my pets at North Slope Vet.

I love this place! We started going here when we brought home our 10 week old Havanese puppy. The front office and all the staff are so sweet, so positive and loving with the puppy. As a first time dog owner, it has been amazing to feel so well taken care of by everyone at this practice. Dr Gaylord is very accessible. He gets on the phone right away, takes my concerns seriously, and kindly and patiently answers all questions Ive had regarding my puppys health, traveling with the puppy etc. Dr. Bliss is great too. I highly recommend North Slope Veterinary!

Dr. Gaylord is knowledgeable and caring. He was particularly generous, kind and compassionate at the end of the life of one of my cats. He was able to fit her into his busy schedule when she was quite ill and suffering. He have me all the time I needed to be with her. I trust him to care for my dog and my other cat and I know they are in the best of hands.
