I have been with Dr. Thornton for 2 years now, I found her office by finding it on Zocdoc one day at a time when I was in desperate need of medical attention, little did I know that this visit to service my health would service my soul. Dr. Thornton has done so much for me that goes well beyond the duty of any doctor. She not only helped address the issues I needed treatment for, but she also branched out into finding me other help outside of the medical field in consideration to my financial status and field of expertise. And at times when my insurance had lapsed she helped me come to an affordable option when I had none. She has made personal calls to check up on me, she offers her patients her cell phone number, not just some pager number but her actual personal cell phone number!!!!!! If you come in and treat her like just another Dr. she will be frank with you like any other Dr. but if you want more then just a Dr., you want a care provider simply address her as so and I promise you that you will receive some of the best care available in NYC. I am from Colorado and I could never even find a Dr. to be this personable in a town of less then 10,000. Dr. Thornton is not just a doctor but a full service care provider and I just love her and the staff! P.S. if you love musical theatre at all then there is no better option then Dr. Thornton, I am a performer myself and she manages to know more then I ever do, and she went to med school its just not fair haha!!!!

Karen is the worst doctor Ive ever had the misfortune to go to. I went on last Friday as I had sore throat and fever, after some swab collection she prescribed me a medicine with no diagnoses. 3 days later my condition is still the same, I call back to see her because at this point I have so much pain eating and drinking, Im about to die! The receptionist says oh she can prescribe you something else without seeing!!!! I was like no she has to see me, it wont take long. She puts me on hold and then comes back and says Ill call you later when she gets in. I said okay, I didnt expect a call and the call never came. She doesnt care if you live or die as long as you can give her the $20 and a signed poster of your broadway cast. What a loser and a hack!

I have been to this doctor twice, hoping that the 2nd experience would be better. However, both times, I have waited for more than an hour in the waiting room, and then again in the patient room. On top of that, she asked a few questions and then went on to write me a prescription for a cold, which led to dizziness and vomiting. I have fainted numerous times at home and at work due to this medicine. After calling the doctors office, they suggested that "I didnt need to take it." Then what the hell were you writing me a subscription for. So if you value your time and LIFE, you need to steer clear of this doctor!

I have seen Dr. Thornton twice now and she has been very helpful but her front desk associates are an absolute mess and extremely rude. It took me calling 7 times over a period of 5 hours for them to let me know I would not be able to get a prescription without being seen and every time I called, I was put on hold for 5-10 min immediately without even given a chance to say hello. Although Dr. Thornton is very nice, she was not helpful at all in this case. I would not recommend this place to anyone. For a doctors office, it is a complete mess both appearance wise and customer service wise.

she is understanding. not a gold digger--didnt make me come back for no reason. I read the previous reviews and I have not had the same experience. Last time I was in the office, she had something like an ipad where one fills out his or her information. I had a general physical exam and it went pretty smooth. She even emailed me back when I had questions.

I would give her 0 stars if I could. Ive never been in contact with anyone, let alone a doctor, who is as unprofessional, incompetent, and inconsiderate as "Dr." Thornton. Her staff is just as rude and uncaring as she is. STAY AWAY!

I would give zero stars as well if it was possible. I have never been treated worst. This office is unprofessional and rude. They are disorganized and unconcerned about the patients. Its amazing that hey are still in business.

Dr. Thornton is a great and very easy to work with. She has a great personality and is willing to listen to you. I highly recommended her. Shes fairly young too so shes great for young professionals working in the city.
