dont even deserve the 1 star ........This hospital sucks, dont go here if you have any property on you worth money. My dad died there march 9th ive been trying to get his property from them for months now. He was wearing his old rolex and normal clothes , also had a wallet with all of his identifications in it plus some cash. on the morning of the 9th got a call he was dead. At 7am they were getting ready to release him and he was doing fine. When they checked in on him at 8am he was dead and turned grey. i talked to the doctor at around 9am at 10 am security called me and told me they had his effects and they would only be released to me .after that my dads effects vanished from the hospital. nobody knows where they are every time i call in i get a run around. Amy Eisenhower has to be the worlds worst employee. She never picks up her phone ever i had to get a manager to get her to pick up her phone she just screens calls. She never follows through with what she says shes going to do. Her response to not finding my fathers effects is "well i dont know where they are". I do your employees stole it, its not rocket science rolex watch+ money in your security center and it vanishes. Bad thing is AMY EISENHOWER is patient relations, this is her job. Well i guess ill have to higher an attorney now and while hes making these people pay for my dads effects have him investigate my fathers death. Any event if you go here turn over your effects to your family dont let these people get their hands on it

On January 15, 2014, Highland Hospital closed on the purchase of a home at 27 Bellevue Drive, a residential street that borders the hospital. Highland representatives told neighbors at a meeting on March 6 that they dont know what theyre going to do with it. Possibilities they mentioned included storage (which would require a zoning variance), renting the space or leaving it vacant. WROC-TV channel 8 has since reported the hospital needs it for office space. While the hospital has been elusive about its plans for the property, they have been very clear that they intend to expand the hospitals footprint through the purchase of more residential properties. And they mentioned in the March 6 meeting that they may expand their onsite facilities, too. Neighbors are concerned that the hospital is pursuing a long-term strategy that will lead to the deterioration of a healthy city neighborhood that borders the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed Highland Park. Weve seen this pattern before. Genesee Hospital devoured a vast chunk of its surrounding residential-and-small-retail, walkable neighborhood along Monroe Avenue. only to close just a few years after a major expansion. The immediate and surrounding neighborhood has declined in its wake. The expansion of St. Marys led in part to the deterioration of its neighborhood, as well. We dont want to see that happen in yet another city neighborhood.

I went in for a DaVinci Hysterectomy on 02/14/2013. Before going in for surgery I told everyone I came in contact with that my boyfriend was to be called as soon as I got out of surgery as he was going to come to the hospital when I was done. I confirmed that they all had his phone #, and they did. When waking up from surgery I asked everyone who came into my room if they called Tim yet, they assured me he was called. About 2 hours later I get into my own room and ask for a phone. I call my boyfriend, I was the first call he had gotten all day. No one at the hospital had called him as Id endlessly requested. Mind you I dont have family to be there with me, I have this ONE person, and I needed him there and to know I was OK. For absolutely no one to follow my instructions, but to lie to me about it? Its disgusting.

On numerous occasions my aging parents have been in the hospital. My experience today with my mother in the emergency department causes me to write this review. When you enter the medical field you make a vow to compassion, understanding and listen. Today the staff at Highland Hospital failed to show compassion to my mother. Dr. Circe failed my mother in so many ways, bedside manner, communicating my mothers treatment plan and listening to my mothers history. Since when do doctors not listen to heart rates, lung functions Etc. When a patient is complaining about chest pains with radiating pain down left arm. Medical Care costs continue to rise and bedside manner declines.

8 plus hours waiting time without being seen. Nurse ratchet was harsh with a patient with chest pain who wasnt knowledgeable instead of explaining. Patient wanted to go to anoyher hospital, but couldnt call 911 from hospital property. She wouldve had to walk down to the sidewalk in dark, snow, cold. Security called RPD . Pt finally seen. There may have been another patient with chest pain. After 8+ hours wait time people were getting understandably testy.I finally left without beibg seen. Id have been waiting most of yhe night.

EOU has a great, caring, wonderful staff who make you feel like family!!! The wait in the ED was longer than I would have expected as my Dr called ahead of time and there werent any visible traumas. Once moved to W7 my care was significantly decreased. Too many different nurses to keep track of which was nerve wracking as I was afraid they would mess something up with my meds if I wasnt on top of things. Many times I had to call for my meds to be administered.

Highland Hospital"s ICU saved my Fathers life. I will be eternally grateful to them for this. Also when my mother was sick, Dr Ognibene"s surgery saved her. Also Dr. Nicandris hip surgery was excellent on my mother. When my mother was sick @ the Nsg. home, the Hospitalist helped her so much that when she returned to the Nsg. home they were all amazed at how good she looked! My elderly parents have had the best care possible at Highland Hospital.
