How sad that they are paid hourly by our insurance agencies. They spent so much money remodeling (cutting down on staff to do so) to make everything move along faster yet they are much slower than before. WCCHS is the worst hospital to ever go to, any reviews saying otherwise was written by staff of the hell hole. I am usually very patent but even I have my limits. I called the hospital tonight about my teeth hurting. I simply asked "are you real busy tonight or should I wait or go elsewhere?" They said to come down and they would take care of me promptly. This was at 6:41pm, I left immediately and arrived at 6:46pm (I live just down the street from the hospital). They got me all signed in and I was told to wait in the waiting room as they would call me in soon. At 8:30pm I was still sitting there in pain and went to the desk to ask what was going on, the replied it would be just a few more minutes. I went back to my seat to wait and wait and wait and wait more until 9:30pm. At this point I could take the pain no more and told them at the desk I wanted to leave to go home to take some medicine but would be back (I knew I had time as there was still all 4 people ahead of me). The receptionist begged me to stay and brought a nurse to talk to me. At this time I was told it would be just a couple minutes and that they was cleaning and prepping a place for me now. Soo......I waited for what was supposed to be a couple minutes but turned into 11:15pm. At this time I had waited long enough in severe pain and could wait no more. Yes, I took off the lovely bracelet they gave me and told them NO MORE, I AM LEAVING AND GOING TO BATAVIA HOSPITAL WHERE I CAN BE SEEN IN MUCH LESS THAN 4 HOURS!!!!!! This kind of thing happens all the time at WCCHS in Warsaw NY and it is because they just milk the insurance companies for all they can, leaving the patents to suffer in pain wile they wait for the bill to go up enough to make them happy. WCCHS in Warsaw NY is a disgrace to health care around the world. Because of places like this many people thing all hospitals do the same. Not to mention, isnt allowing people to suffer like this in the name of money considered abuse? They need to be shut down!!!!

If there was a no stars button thats what I would put....over the weekend a family member of mine was taken to this hospital ER. It was unreal to me that I was told I couldnt go in to see my family member as supposedly directed by the police department...over 5 hours of excruciating waiting and wondering what was going on I wound up calling the police department and asking why they would direct them not to allow us to be with our loved one....they advised they would look into it and call me back....needless to say within 10 minutes of this call we were called in to immediately talk to the dr and he made a decision to transfer our family member out to buffalo as he felt it was warranted because of how serious he diagnosed our family member...after getting this news I asked if fm had to go to buffalo that we wanted fm to go to Rochester...met with aggravated response that he had already been on the phone for over an hour with buffalo but he would now try to get fm into rochester....fm was transported to Rochester and started to improve significantly and dr in warsaw was way off the mark and fm was diagnosed with something so very different by Dr in ICU....Im glad the decision was made to take fm to Rochester and they discharged fm after one day from ICU with clean bill of health!! Will NEVER go back there again and will tell everyone I know not to trust their ER drs call especially in serious decisions. No excuses they make will ever convince me to believe their incompetence. Despite all of this I will say that the nurses were fantastic!! They definitely deserve the only recognition in our situation...

I went to the ER at this facility for a possible hernia. I had extreme pain in my lower abdomen for several days, and there was a bulge next to my belly button. After waiting for several hours, I was finally seen by a doctor. After making the pain worse, by poking around my stomach, the doctor ordered a CT scan. After waiting several more hours, I was finally given the scan. While waiting, I had to ask several times for help with the pain. The doctor ordered some type of NSAID, which did not help the issue whatsoever. He finally ordered something stronger (some type of narcotic) which helped a bit. After reviewing the scan, he claimed that I had no hernia, and that the bulge on my stomach was a lymph node. Claiming that my lab results were unusual, he claimed that I might have a gall bladder issue. Being that my pain was on the OTHER SIDE of my abdomen from my gall bladder, and that, after consulting with another health care proff., there was no way that the bulge was a lymph node, I have decided to get another opinion at a different facility. This place is just another example of an ER that I will not go to again, nor would I send any of my family members to.

I delivered my first child at WCCH, went for all the blood work/ultrasounds and was in the ER for several minor complications and a miscarriage with our second. The staff was REALLY friendly and there was NO lack of caring or attention to our needs/issues- no one was ever too busy to help and they never seemed short staffed like Ive come to find is all too common at bigger hospitals. Considering the various reasons for the visits I never waited very long to see a doctor. Food was not the greatest at all though :( ...and my room, despite being the only patient on the floor, was right across from the main nurses desk... so it was very noisey and bright and I didnt rest/sleep much at all. :/

I remember a few years ago I had to go the ER for a mysterious rash that was very concerning. While I was in the waiting room a man came in with a serious stab wound. The receptionist didnt bat an eye as she told him to take a seat a fill out some paperwork. I was stunned by the complete lack of concern shown by the hospital staff in this hospital. The hospital may have been remodeled recently, but it is still a very poor place to go if you require immediate medical attention. They just dont care here.

Just delivered by baby. Had a wonderful experience! You truly get 1:1 care, and help beyond just delivery at the hospital... they want you to feel relaxed and confident about how to take care of your baby when you leave. The only downfall is being discharged, and all the paperwork that goes with it- but that isnt their fault!
