Our Lab started getting sick on Friday evening, by noon on Saturday her condition had deteriorated to the point we were going to take her to an ER, as our Vet closed at noon and would not open until Monday. I contacted Dr. Martin and he said they could see her Sunday at 3:00 PM. Dr Martin had already spoken with Dr. Vargus before we arrived. Dr. Vargus discussed her condition with me and gave me options on tests they could run. He let me know the minimum they needed to perform and additional tests that could help pinpoint her condition and necessary treatment. Upon leaving the office she had improved somewhat, by Monday she was much better. They called to check on her condition on Monday. I was so impressed at how we were treated as "walk ups", we may have found our new vet! The care we received was excellent!.

The bill as another reviewer has said is always jacked up. I paid for a bath and nail trim and my didnt get that- they are just subpar IMO in every category with the exception that the kids up front are nice. My dogs drank two gallons of water after a 4 day stay there as soon as they walked in, that was very alarming. Im just round the boards unimpressed with the care, unimpressed by the salesmen approach to services, and not going to go back except to get the bath and nail trimming I paid an exhorborate amount for- I cant recommend this place. They need to take a long hard look at their business model and figure out how to be an asset to the community and not a money pit that takes advantage every turn!

ALL DRS. AND STAFF ARE EXCELLENT. BOTH OF MY DOGS HAVE HAD A DIAGNOSIS OF CANCER IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. I APPRECIATE ALL OF THE EXTRA AND COMPASSIONATE CARE BOTH DOGS HAVE RECIEVED. AS AN EXAMPLE I HAVE HAD CANCER MYSELF AND AM UNABLE TO WALK. THE STAFF ALWAYS HELPS ME BY PICKING UP AND RETURNING THE DOGS TO MY HOUSE WHEN NEEDED. I AM UNABLE TO ADMINISTER THE PILLS TO MY DOGS AS PRESRIBED AND THE STAFF UNDERSTANDS AND IS ALWAYS GLAD TO HELP ME BY MEETING ME IN THE PARKING LOT OR EVEN COMING TO MY HOME TO ADMINISTER THE MEDICATIONS. DR. CINDY WILLIAMS IS VERY COMPASSIONATE IN HER CARE AND TREATMENT OF BOTH DOGS. AT THIS TIME WE ARE ALL ALIVE!

Our dog recently had surgery for bladder stones. Dr. Martin did a great job of explaining what was going on. The surgery and the recovery went very well. Dr, Martin and Dr. Vargas were very thorough and attentive to our questions before and after the surgery. The staff were just as friendly and helpful as always. Our dog is back to her old self without the pain and discomfort from the stones. We are very satisfied with the service and treatment we received at Liberty Animal Hospital.

A+++ care, staff, facilities. I have too many examples of how the staff at Liberty has gone far above and beyond to take care of my old dog (and me) to list! Everyone from the folks at the front desk, to the assistants and aides, to each of the vets (even the ones who arent our primary) greet my dog by name and take a few moments to pet him. Its clear these people LOVE animals, love what they do and are committed to operating the finest veterinary clinic and hospital in Alabama.

Great service, and the best people! Dr. Todd (Coleman) has always been our pets best friend. We have rescued cats, dogs, birds, and fish, and taken care of all of them ever since we moved to Birmingham. People that actually care about your family members instead of viewing them as a "job" are hard to come by. The place is nice and clean and friendly and the dogs are happy. BUT. They will really go out of their way to run up the bill. Even for this area, it seems excessive. You have been warned. You need really, really deep pockets to board your pets here. Expect the final bill for boarding to be 2-3 times more than the nominal boarding rates, especially if you only do it now and then.

They are amazing. Dr Todd saved my dogs life. I came in with an emergency right as they were closing on a Friday and three of their staff stayed an extra hour and half to help us (with no complaint) and even contacted the emergency clinic for us so we could get right in. We have been loyal to them, they are always friendly and genuinely love our dog.

Staff were well organized and incredibly friendly, jumped into action when I brought my dog in after he got hit by a car. Very clear that every member of the staff loves animals. Definitely would recommend this animal hospital over others.
