Horrible excuse for a doctors office. My family and I have equally received horrible health services from more than one doctor (Dr. May and Dr. Houston) , nurse Betty which is Dr. Mays nurse, as well as the office manager, Mary Ann. My sister visited a few months back Dr. May, who moves through visits so quick to the point you can barely tell him why youre there, told my sister her symptoms were not enough to be treated for anything meanwhile shes having chest pains. They sent her to Providence for X Rays and once she was there the people at Providence informed her that no X Rays hadnt been ordered by Dr. May and they were unsure of what she was referring to but seeing her disbelief and clear sign of miscommunication between Dr. May and them, they took the X Rays anyway. She called Family Medical to speak with Dr. May about this matter and inform him and no one seemed apologetic about the mix up. My sister then asked to speak with the office manger to inform her of the poor ethical behavior her doctor was upholding. The office manager, Mary Ann did not answer, she proceeded to leave a message which would not be her last message after several unreturned phone calls from Mary Ann. I, thinking maybe it was just a bad time when my sister went, still visited the clinic in August for extreme coughing. I visited Dr. Houston, his behavior extremely different than what was informed to me about Dr. May until Id realized I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Houston and called to share my concerns. I was left with unreturned phone calls as well. My last time, which will officially be my last time, was a week before Christmas. I was congested, had a cough, runny nose, and a mile throat ache. Dr. May was the most readily available doctor. Told him what I my symptoms were, he and nurse Betty, and was given two shots and what I thought would be a prescription for an antibiotic and my cough and congestion. It was just the antibiotic. I reached out to them to ask them about this and nurse Betty said the shots I was given should clear up the congestion and cough call us in 2 days if it doesnt and we will call you in something. I called them in 2 days as instructed and here I am two weeks later after finishing my ten day antibiotic and reaching out to them to receive no returned phone calls until this morning where nurse Betty was extremely rude and unapologetic about the previous phone calls they didnt attempt to make not due to any excuse to my knowledge. I am still coughing, nose is still running and I am still congested. She informed me differently this morning that Dr. May didnt prescribe anything through the phone and that I would need to come back in to see if thats really whats going on. I asked to speak with the office manager and Betty informed me that it was "no point of you speaking to her were still not gonna call you in anything and the cough medicine youre probably wanting I cant call it in over the phone but Ill transfer you to front if you think Mary Anns gonna really do something different for you".. 30 mins later no one has picked up the phone and I didnt want to do this but this is why the have reviews, for performance measurements and accountability.

Doctor Lloyd A. May is a terrible excuse for a doctor. I have been a patient of Family medical for a very, very long time. I dont have insurance. I made an appointment, they asked what for, I told them I needed a shot for my poison ivy I contracted about a week ago. When I arrived I paid $90 up front, waited, got taken to the back and weighed, waited in the exam room. Nurse came in asked what I was there for, I said poison ivy shot, I showed her the whelps. No temperature no how are you feeling, nothing. The doc will be in shortly. He came in, read what the nurse wrote, I pulled my shirt up and showed him the damage. He said i needed a shot and left. He was there way less than a minute. Nurse came back with one shot of celestone and one shot of benadryl. I went to check out and there were all kinds of extra charges on my bill. The regular office bill is $90. Doctor Lloyd A. May raised it to $135. I asked the receptionist why he raised the office visit. She said she did not know. I asked to speak to the doctor about the problem, receptionist said I could talk to the nurse. The nurse said because the prices had gone up. My bill was $194.00 Very cold nurse... Very cold doctor.

The nurses are clueless. It took them a month to get my referral TO a specialist. They never called me back once to inform me of my situation. They failed to inform me an appointment had been scheduled. I called them four times only to realize that an appointment was a few days later. This place is very disorganized. It is very unprofessional. Be sure to call every few DAYS after your appointment. They wont bother to contact you. I wouldnt go there if you feel your medical issue is life threatening. Youll die before they get around to you. Update : March 14,2016 The specialist at Providence Hospital told me that I have and inflammed prostate. I mentioned to Dr.Irving that the issue above might be prostate related. He dismissed it. All of this time, money and effort was overplayed. Checking my prostate could have been here. It wasnt. Im not sure why. There may be a valid reason. The nurses are still unorganized. My grandparents went through the same chaos. Try the doctor across the street.

Horrible experience, I went to see Dr. Houston because my hair was falling out, and he proceeded to ask me all these questions and asked me was I constipated and I said not really, so he proceeded to keep the subject on constipation and didnt acknowledge what I had came in there for hair loss!!!!! He is a poor excuse for a doctor!!!!!! Dont waste your money to go see him! Will never go back and I do not recommend him to anyone!

Great job guys. Wife had appointment for 2:15 and yet you had her sit in waiting room for an hour and a half and still didnt see her so she just left. Extremely unprofessional. If you were that busy than dont say you have an opening for 2:15. We could have just gone to an urgent care.
