For all of you that put in a bad review of Prattville Baptist Hospitals ER, just remember, if you are going to the ER every day for the dumbest afflictions like diarrhea, you stubbed your toe, you ODd on SPICE, you smoked too much meth, or you have a little headache, youre wasting their time. If your affliction is serious, and youll know if it is serious, you will receive appropriate, adequate, and prompt care for youre ailments. All you druggies that just need a fix of pain meds are what is backing up the ER for people with actual ailments. So if you want your dilauded, morphine, demorol, lortab, etc. take your butts home or to rehab. There is no reason for you to go up there to get drugged up because you need a high. The main ones complaining on here are the main ones going in for dumb ailments that can easily be fixed with Tylenol at home or that didnt get the high they wanted. And for the record, for those of yall that havent worked in a medical facility before, just remember, if you think you can do a better job; go to nursing school, pass your NCLEX, and give it a shot. I can promise you, that your outlook will quickly change.

We were forgotten in the room for hours. Some lady they call a Dr wearing pumps and scrubs with hair that hadnt been brushed in days let me know that she forgot about us "shes scatter brained"(how comforting). THEN I get this bill. They refuse to bill my insurance leaving it up to me to send it to the insurance company. I ask her to send me another copy well she does at the same time(litteraly the same day sending the bill to collections.?!?). Now my insurance needs them to fill out this "contract" (7 pages) so they are able to pay them bc they are not in network and of course they refuse this as well. Im paying over $500 to be forgotten in a room for 4 hours. Pissed doesnt cover it.

The ER for this hospital is retardedly slow. You dont talk to anyone when you "check in" ...instead, they have you input your information into a computer that isnt marked very well, but is off in a corner. There isnt any signs directing you to sign in and/or to the computer. I would not recommend this hospital for ANY real emergency. You would die in their waiting room before theyd realize you needed some serious help. For instance, we were here for 2.5hrs and still did not get called to be seen. The waiting room had less than 10 people, including those who were with the people needing treatment. DO NOT COME HERE FOR EMERGENCY CARE!!

Had to take my mother here after she sliced her finger open. Spent about an hour in the waiting room (around 9pm, mind you). Staff was courteous, and mostly professional (save for one rude male nurse who bitched loudly about wanting to go home). Total time spent was around 2 hours. Honestly a bit frustrated at the delay because the bleeding would not stop, and it did get messy; but I do understand that more pressing emergencies come first. I guess it could have been worse all in all, but not a negative experience overall.

No one ever wants to be put in the hospital but I decided to come to this one after being sent home sick from Elmore hospital. The staff and doctor were ALL very professional and so caring that I would recommend this hospital to anyone. I have spent time with family members at other hospitals that didnt have the compassion that the nursing staff here has. Thank you to all of the nurses and staff who made my stay as pleasant as can be. You all truly love your jobs and it shows. Thank you ALL so very much!

Sitting here with my mother right now and yes she is older but the nurses and staff here do not care about your family. I asked for a nurse over 20 minutes ago to assist my mother and one has not come. Its not an emergency but she is a fall risk, so Im trying to follow protocol and the nurses need to do their job. I hate people who go to school for money instead of because they have a passion for their profession. Then they wonder why family members get attitudes, have more empathy and compassion.

The nurses on the 1st floor are wonderful and helpful. Actually, everyone from housekeeping, radiology, phlebotomy...they all are nice and have great attitudes. They really care about you. My mom was in there and I stayed a night with her...the nurses and staff were even helpful and caring to me. The nephrologist was extremely thorough and explained everything in detail. Thank you all for being the kind, caring and professional staff that you are. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

Been sitting here forever my daughter needed a stitch in her finger they are not busy the parking lit and waiting roim was empty but yet still taking forever not to mention they put me and my 2 daughters in the crazy peiple room that is totally empty and freezing this is bs from now on I will go else where oh and there is a camera in our room how un comfortable is that

About two years ago I had gotten stabbed and went there for treatment. I was bleeding for a while and they finally took me in about an hour later. Another hour is when the doctors finally showed up to stitch the wound. The hospitals dirtier than the Knickerbocker hospital in NY, and Id rather go there than PBH ever again. Sorry.

My mother was taken here via ambulance from a rehab facility and I could not have asked for better care from a hospital. It started with the receptionist and only got better from there. All of the staff was very caring and supportive during my mothers 10 day stay at the hospital.

Went in for extremely high blood pressure and legs going numb. Sat for four hours just to be sent back out the door with a prescription for high blood pressure medicine. This hospital is a joke. Doctor didnt listen to anything I said and neither did the nurses.

Horrible. Been here in the waiting room for two hours with my wife who has excruciating pain from i what I assume to be a kidney stone. Rude receptionist who doesnt care nor does she know anything. Id avoid this hospital at all costs

Went in for abdominal pain due to my hernia in which I was wrongly told I needed surgery and transported all the way to Montgomery just to be told I was misdiagnosed yet still in pain and missed work for no apparent reason at all

Ive no negative criticism regarding my treatment at this facility. Everything and everyone was professional and top notch. If you are in Prattville, living or visiting, and you need medical care, Id recommend this hospital.
