If you have a real emergency DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! This place is just a glorified urgent care with ER prices. Im actually shocked this establishment has gotten good reviews. My experience was a complete fail from start to finish. I came into Dignity with severe abdominal pain that shot down my leg, vommiting, shaking, and my blood pressure was through the roof. The nurse took me back to the room fairly quickly and the first thing I noticed on the bed was the soiled pillow. It had hair on it and what looked to be a booger.... Yes a BOOGER! I told her the pillow was dirty, to which she replied back " its just stained", and flipped the pillow over. Needless to say I curled up in a ball underneath it. I was then asked to give a urine sample. I went to the bathroom (the bathrooms there are attached to the rooms, one redeeming factor) and again noticed all the garbage left from the previous patients samples. I was mortified but in to much pain to complain. I laid back down for 45 min before anyone even checked on me (the ER was very slow by the way) In the mean time I never got an IV, never got blood testing, and she didnt even take my temperature.... Im not a doctor but arent these things relevant? Finally the doctor came in and spoke with me for two minutes. I told him my history and he seemed clueless. He ordered a CT scan, gave me two pills and told me to lie down. A robot would have had a warmer demeanor, and the staff was no better. I mentioned I had extensive and significant gynecological issues and suggested an ultrasound, to which he said " well I guess we could, if you want to wait a long time." He didnt seem interested at all in helping me. To make matters worse I had asked for the remote to watch tv to get my mind off the pain and was told by the nurse that I needed to give the remote back..... Wtf? Do they only have one remote in the whole place? The doctor came back, said I had blood in my urine but he thinks Im fine and said the pain was gas and constipation....YES GAS!! And then sent me on my way. Oh and the best part was when the radiologist asked for my pregnancy test sample even though Ive had my tubes tied and already left a sample! No one reads charts there, no one listens, and no one cares! What a poor representation of healthcare, I was nothing but an ATM machine. Dont GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT REAL CARE!

June 12th: In 2 days, it will have been a full year of working at trying to pay a bill. I still have not received a call from Jeannette glass after 6 times trying to reach her since May 22nd and leaving messages I guess I have to file with the BBB...again. .Update on June 1, 21017: I am a 64 year old woman who works in the school district on a very limited income. I pay all my bills on time. I have been on pins and needles for 10 months not knowing how much of that $7,000.00 bill I would be charged. I have had to put off appointments with my neurologist, with Barrows Nuerological Hospital for a 2nd opinion, my general practitioner and canceled a prescription drug for pain, because I worried I could not afford to pay the bill from Dignity Health. I passed up a chance to meet with a top research doctor to help me with my disease. Because I did not know if I would have enough to pay Dignitys bill and what I would incur with my other medical bills. This is just so wrong. This is so frustrating!!!!!!! Dignity Health AZ General finally did submit a bill to my insurance on May 12, 2017 for $7,065.00. A check was sent to them from my BCBS of Az on May 14th for $936.60. I called BCBS and found out my portion of the bill was $234.16.But, I still cannot get Dignity Health to send me a bill for my portion. I did get a really nice letter from Jeannette Grasso, director of Quality and Risk at Dignity Health on April 4, 2017, letting me know Billing had resolved my problem and I could call her to discuss it. I waited for a bill and finally called her on May 22, May 23, and May 24 to ask her for my bill or to just write my portion off, due make up for the large amount of time I have had to to JUST PAY A BILL. N0 calls have been returned. With the problems I have had with Dignity Health billing, I am reluctant to just send them a check with a bill from them. I loved the treatment at the center, but I will never go back because of the distress and work I have had to go through to just pay my bill.

I just called to 1. Make sure this place is open on Easter Sunday 2. Wondering if it was critical that I bring my daughter in. The person who answered the phone was kind and let me know it was open and he could transfer me to a nurse regarding my daughter. The nurse picked up, I dont remember her name although I really wish I did because I explained my daughter just has a cold but had a stomach flu that she just got over, she cut me off and with sass told me she cant give me medical advice over the phone and then repeatedly said it again as if Im so stupid for calling first or as if I ASKED to talk to her. I was OFFERED to talk with a nurse. I felt reprimanded for even letting myself get transferred to one. Im very aware about not getting medical advice over the phone unless you are a patient. I just thought since I talked to the nice young man who transferred me to a RN, that there was something she could say or do. Why else would I be connected with her!?!?! So she could be a uncaring and rude? I really dont know why this hospital would have a frantic mom transferred to a nurse to be humiliated for wondering what that nurse might say to her. I just want to know, when other people call and get transferred to a nurse, what the conversation was like. Whats the point if they wont talk to you? Again, I understand they cant give you medical advice but I dont understand why I was led to even talk to her, then. So RUDE I am in tears now and so is my child and I went to another ER. Not that this place will even care. I really hate to write a bad review, I never leave reviews, but my experience was very unprofessional, especially being a first time mom with a sick infant.

Strained muscle - While on a walk I injured a muscle in my leg. I was unable to flex in stride but limped back and elevated, iced it every few hours and took ibuprofen. After 24 hours using this treatment it was still swollen and sore. I was afraid I had torn a muscle or ligament and thought it might be good to have it looked at. I chose Dignity Health (Monday evening round 5:00) thinking I might have a blood clot in the affected area. The staff got me right in and decided I should have an ultrasound to rule out a DVT or blood clot. The wait for an ultrasound technician was about 45 min. but the staff kept me comfortable and checked in on me every 10 min. or so. When the technician arrived, she was such a personable person and described what she was going to do and why. She put me at ease with the procedure. The doctor came in after looking at the ultrasound results and told me there was no evidence of a tear, the muscle was only strained. I had applied gel packs of ice and gave myself an ice burn, which had contributed to the redness and made the area hotter in the process. Next time Ill wrap the pack with a thin cotton layer! The visit was less than 2 hours in all.
