Dont go here if friendly service is a priority. The exam and glasses I received were fine but the personnel were less than friendly. Out of the 4 people I dealt with, only one smiled and was pleasant. Dr Miller was thorough but cold, lecturing me repeatedly on incorrect eye care. Once is fine, three times was condescending. The woman that fitted my new glasses never greeted me or introduced herself. She tried to sell me a lighter weight lens even though I told her twice that weight didnt matter. Once I told her that I didnt want $700 glasses she went right to the cheapest material. She had an unpleasant attitude that continued a week later when I went to pick up my new glasses. I had seen Dr Ho at a different location last year and she was cold and distant also. The short-haired woman with the Irish accent was the only person that was friendly and ever smiled. Nobody was rude but they never acted friendly enough to want your business. I believe there are plenty of places that can deliver good friendly service so I wont go here again.

I had scheduled an appointment months ago and when I went there they told me my appointment was canceled somehow. They didnt know how it was canceled or who canceled it and why? I didnt even receive any phone call for cancellation. I took off half day from work and drove an hour for this appt, and all they said "Sorry, we had to take some urgent patients and cannot see you today. But we can reschedule your appointment". What kind of joke is this?!! I didnt hear anything good about this business but only reason I chose this place because it was close to my house. I will definitely not recommend Ocotillo Eyecare to anyone.

Showed up 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork as instructed. Spent next 30 minutes in waiting room. Finally an office assistant spent about 5 minutes with me on a couple of machines then parked me in an exam room. Sat there for another 35 minutes and no doctor. Went to front desk and asked them for my paperwork because I was unhappy and leaving. I think its absolutely disrespectful to ask a patient to show up 15 minutes early and then have them spend the next hour and 5 minutes waiting to be seen. Not only that but they didnt have the courtesy to call and apologize. Would not recommend.

Ocotillo Eye care is the best Optometrist ever!! I have been to many other Doctors for eye exams with very mixed results. That all changes when I made my appointment with Dr. Powell at Ocotillo eye care. His staff was AMAZING, and made everything so easy from making my appointment, to checking in and billing my insurance. They made me feel right at home even though I was a new patient. Dr. Powell was very knowledgeable but was able to answer all of my questions in a way that I could understand. All around it was an amazing experience and I won’t go anywhere else.

I had such a wonderful experience with this practice. I just moved to Gilbert and needed new glasses. Dr. Powell was recommended by several people and I was not disappointed. Dr. Powell was extremely knowledgeable and he really made me feel like he cared about my eyes. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I had to take my 1 year old to my fitting and one of the staff actually entertained my daughter while I got my glasses adjusted. On top of everything else the staff helped me pick out a pair of frames that my wife loved!! It was a great experience all around.

My entire family has been going to Ocotillo Eyecare for over 5 years and we LOVE them! All of the doctors are great and take excellent care of me and my children. The rest of the staff is also so attentive and supportive through the check-in, exam, and fitting process. They have also been so helpful and understand with all of our eyecare needs. Their staff often times goes above and beyond what I would expect from a Drs office and that is so rare these days. I would recommend Ocotillo Eyecare to all of my friends and family.

THE BEST!! I have been to eye doctors all over the country, and this is by far the best any where. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for an eye doctor. The staff is very friendly and explains everything very well. The Dr.s are world class. Very understanding and take the time to make sure all of my questions/concerns are addressed.

Dr. Powell is excellent. The office staff and opticians are awful. Go to Dr. Powell for your eye exam, but get your glasses and contact lenses somewhere else. Know your insurance coverage before you go. Theyll try to tell you that youre not covered for certain things when you really are.

Have been a customer for years of Dr. Powell. Even when I moved overseas the office have always been courteous in helping me transfer my records and file insurance claims. I highly recommend Ocotillo Eyecare if you want that personal touch!
