What is up with health care in this state? It would seem it is impossible to find a good doctor in a timely fashion. So here is my story. I made an appointment with a doctor that was recommended by a friend. Come to find out the doctor is no longer with this group. No big deal, I choose the next available one, which was two and a half weeks out. I call to see if there were any cancellations the prior weeks, nothing available. I asked them to call me if they had any, did not get any call backs. I show up at the wrong location because in Google maps it has the wrong place. I understand that is not completely their fault (also my own fault I understand), but I would assume they could contact Google and get that fixed. I was 10-min early to the wrong location, drive to the correct one on Warner. So now I am 5-min late. I tell the woman they have the wrong location in Google Maps, and she told me she knows, lots of patients have complained about it. They give me the paperwork and I sit down next to this elderly gentleman, who complains to me about this group. Says the doctors are terrific but everything else is terrible. Goes on and on about it. I fill out the paperwork (8:10AM at this point) and bring it up to the front desk, she tells me that I was supposed to be there at 7:30 to fill it out and that they can no longer see me. I told her if they wanted me there at 7:30 they should have said, "7:30". She said sorry (not her fault really), and tried to get me another appointment, another two weeks out. At that point I said I will make one if I can, which I wont. Off to try to find another primary care physician. It is not easy here. Paul

When I read all the negative comments about this location I almost went somewhere else. Im so glad I gave them a chance. The front desk people were very helpful and efficient. I was actually called to the examing room 5 minutes before my appointment. On the way back to the room Dr. Grosbachs nurse, Barbara, went over what they needed to do after the appointment to get all of the information to my surgeon. After we went over what I needed to get done during this appointment I didnt wait more than 5 minutes for Dr. Grosbach. He was professional and polite. He asked me all the right questions and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. They did all my needed testing immediately. Its so convenient to have the Sonoran Lab right there. Justine at the Lab was friendly and professional. Before I went over to the Lab, Barbara told me that she would notify me when she got all the Labs back and faxed them to my surgeon. To my surprise Barbara did call me a few days later with that information. I was truly impressed with the professionalism and followup. It is so rare nowadays. I cant say enough about my excellent experience there. Thank you for taking such good care of me. It was much appreciated.

Would not recommend this facility. Just transferred from a different doctors office to this one in the beginning of 2016. I was looking for a primary care that would be more attentive to my medical needs, as my past doctors was not. This was definitely NOT the place to go. First, the PCP I chose to see for the first time, left within a month. I was only informed of this after seeing him one time. Then I was pretty much just passed around to different nurse practitioners and doctors. No one really paying attention to my records or anything. I ended up being hospitalized due to not being educated properly about a new diagnosis a couple of months ago. However, I didnt really want to start looking for another doctor yet, since I just transferred. Was hoping things would get better. But, just recently, I tried to fill a very important medication a couple days before I ran out. My pharmacy contacted the doctors office and tried to get it refilled. Doctors offficw ignored until I called FIVE times. Then they just tried to blame the pharmacy when in all actuality, it was their fault. I will not be back to this Banner and will inform everyone I know of their malpractice.

My entire family are patients at the Banner Health Centers. This morning I needed an appointment for my sick husband and was told that he had to wait 2 weeks because he is considered a new patient because he hasnt been seen at that specific facility. The Banner Health Centers are ALL affiliated with the Banner Health Network. I asked if they were kidding and they said No we arent! To my dismay, i replied so my SICK husband cant be seen, and was told no because he is considered a new patient. Well, my children are 18, 17, 13 and my grandson is 1 and we have been going to Banner since they were 11, 10, and 5. I think I will now have to change and seek professional that actually care about the health of people. And might I add that we have private insurance that Banner double bills on the regular! My experience was similar when I was sick for 2 weeks and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic that didnt work and then refused to call back when I pleaded for additional help. Needless to say I ended up at urgent care, as such that is where my husband is headed as well!!

BAD EXPERIENCE! Called the Banner billing office to see if an insurance was accepted and the lady on the phone said to check with the insurance company. I told her that the insurance company confirm Banner Health was in network but the clinic says the insurance is not accepted so just want to double check with the billing office, so she said they would not know about accepted insurance for 2017 and that I should use own judgement. That answer did not help, so I asked if she (billing office) would know in 2017 then she started to become impatient and went silent then said that only the insurance company would know. Again it did not help, so I repeated the question then she went silent again and gave a sigh over the phone. So this call was not going any where and told her I only needed information and patience. Really disappointed with the service.

My experience with Banner Health Center of 155 E. Warner Road Gilbert, AZ, began approximately March of 2013. Honestly, I can report that in my 50+ years I have never been treated so well by staff members as a whole. Dr. Sikand and other doctors I have seen at this facility are all highly qualified and very personable as well. And let me say... I like a medical staff to be warm, friendly and personable. It makes me feel welcomed, as if they really care about my wellbeing... vs Im just a number with a particular complaint. Heres your prescription and instructions; and then turn and leave. * Seriously, I have had doctors (at other facilities) who didnt even carry-on a conversation with me, not even so much as to answer my questions or acknowledge that I am even asking one for that matter. Rest assured that will never happen at this facility. .
