I actually met Dr. Naman Patel through a friend while I was visiting family in Phoenix from Los Angeles. I recently located to Los Angeles a year and a half ago and have been searching for a dentist I can build a relationship with as my previous dentist retired. After meeting him, I scheduled a general cleaning with him while I was in town. Dr. Patels professionalism is superior to your standard in and out dentist. His facilities are first-class and you dont feel like you are in a all white mental facility that you find at your ordinary dentists office. I was so impressed by his skills, his facilities, and his first-class staff that I fly back and forth from Los Angeles to Phoenix to have my teeth straightened, which is a once a month appointment for a few months. I will continue to visit him every 6 months from L.A., he is worth it. I typically dont write reviews for anything, but Dr. Naman Patel recently took over this practice and has been in the Valley for only a couple of years transforming the practice to a leader in the desert. He has been practicing for over 7, and is truly a diamond in the desert. If you are looking for a dentist that will make you and your loved ones feel comfortable while still delivering the best in dentistry, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Naman Patel.

Let me start by saying I am a difficult patient and I do not go to male doctors normally. Due for my six month cleaning, I pessimistically went to Dr Patel to check him out. Now it is three cleanings and a 1.5 years later and I have to say he is the BEST DAMN DENTIST in the valley! He and his staff are funny, personable, work around my hectic schedule, and put up with my very specific requests. Letty/office mgr, thoroughly assisted in getting my insurance to pay for adult SHORT TERM orthodontics. I had always wanted braces but did not want the lengthy, painful, and expensive process of traditional braces - Dr Patel offered me a solution that fit into my single lifestyle, allowed me continue dating and was something pretty painless and low impact to me overall. It was pretty forward thinking too because little did I know I would be getting married shortly after getting braces off - so now I have the whole office to thank for my picture perfect teeth as well. Even though I moved from Chandler to Scottsdale now - I will continue to see the Next Generation office for all of my dental needs. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Patel and his team.

Not a very big fan of the hygienist. Cant remember her name, but she is blonde and very very thin. My wife and I both found her to be a bit condescending if not plainly rude. We did not go together and still drew the same conclusion. Update: Recently talked to my neighbor who experienced the hygienists attitude as well. Said that she was fine to her, but the tone she took with the next patient in the next stall over was absolutely appalling. So apparently this lady has some issues with certain people. Definitely could use some lessons in how to talk to people paying for a service. Found a hygienist that treats everyone with consistent kindness. Dr. Patel, if you read this, I sure hope you will start to take these experiences seriously. You are a great dentist. I really liked you. Also, after putting this review out on the web, I no longer got calls to make the appointments I was supposed to have. Also never got the 10% off they offer for referrals after sending someone there. Amazing. Good thing there are so many Dentists to choose from here. No room for that in todays atmosphere.

I am really thankful for the service, the hygienists, and the doctor. I came yesterday for a check up and today for a filling. It might have come with age as well but yesterdays hygienist got me to feel better about starting to floss than all other hygienists Ive met in my life--I have never met a more happy (who genuinely smiled a lot), patient (who did not click her tongue for me not flossing) hygienist who was so helpful about teeth facts and myths. I think her name was Molly. As for the filling appointment, I only have teenage memories of dentists drilling my teeth through pain. Not this place. I have a recurring cavity and it was the first best-numbed and smoothest of procedures I can remember, not to mention the hygienest-to-dentist cooperation. They were quick and confident and considerate. Also what each hygienists told me about teeth care was consistent, which means a lot to me.

I recently switched over to Dr. Patel and it was the best decision I could have made. Dr. Patel and his staff are very kind and professional. They do a thorough job cleaning my teeth and take the extra time to explain things to me. I have been to many dentists who tell you that you need unnecessary work done immediately. Half of the time you can’t even tell if it truly is an expense you need to incur at that moment or if they are trying to cash in on your visit. Dr. Patel was very honest and straightforward with me. He pointed out the problem areas that I needed to watch and take better care of. He recommended the work that I needed and the work that could potentially be needed when and if my problem areas worsened. There are very few honest dentists out there and I’m glad I go to one of them!

My wife and I have been going to Island Dental for about 7 years now. When we first started going the dentist was Dr. Lyde. He left after the first 3 years to go back to school. At first my wife and I were very skeptical of having the new dentist, Dr. Patel, but after the first visit he put us at ease. We have now had Dr. Patel for our Dentist for about 4 years and have been more than happy with the level of professionalism and great work. The staff is very kind and are on top of everything. We are so happy with Dr. Patel and his staff that we continue to go there even though we live 40 miles away. I have never been very comfortable siting in the Dentist chair but at Island Dental they make it comfortable. I highly recommend Island Dental to all.

My family trusts our dental care to the professional and terrific staff of Dr. Patel at Island Dental. Dr. Patel understands no two patients are the same and his staff demonstrate and share the same level of professional care suited to each patients individual needs. My husband has complex dental needs and while I dont have complex dental needs, I have dental anxiety that Dr. Patel and his team always treat with dignity and patience. With gentle care, they have worked with me, building my confidence and trust -- now I see them on a routine basis and have become a dental champ! Highly recommend Island Dental to anyone in the east valley looking for quality, compassionate care with a good dose of humor and education to boot!

I went to the same dentist for 30 years. The dentist retired and I tried Island Dental. I was just as happy with the "new" dentist as I had been with the "old" dentist. The cleanings I felt were a little bit better at the new location. The office staff was just as nice, and more efficient than the old office staff. I have referred lots of patients to Island Dental and they have all been happy with Dr Patel and the staff. I trust the doctor is only doing what needs to be done, and not doing everything possible to bring in more revenue. I know Dr Patel is honest in his procedures. I am not afraid to go to the dentist anymore.
