I am writing about Dr. Erika McKeen (our savior) on behalf of my brother-in-law Al (as he is unable to use a computer). I helped him apply for S.S. disability about 3 years ago. He was rejected twice and then we were about to hit the big "3 strikes and youre out stage". Things were looking very bleak... If anyone really qualifies for disability, its Al. He was born with an intellectual disability but was able to hold down a simple job for many years until he became very ill. He got hooked up with some M.D. who literally just kept cutting away at him... all because of acid reflux. He cut away so much that Al was left with an esophagus that is only 1.5 inches long, with the front half of his stomach missing and the back half pulled up into his chest cavity to meet his esophagus, crowding his lungs and heart. He is chronically short of breath with mild exertion, developed a seizure disorder, lost all his teeth due to a medication that was prescribed for the seizures, looked like a skeleton [he couldnt keep weight on unless he drank 2 very expensive shakes per day (designed for chemo patients!!!)] and finally became completely unable to work. Yet S.S. was still denying him and we had run out of time. One week before his hearing with a judge, Dr. McKeen called me and asked me to check to see if she could testify. She did and was so amazing that our attorney was completely blown away. He was grinning from ear to ear and kept shaking his head saying "I cant believe it!" & "Where did you ever find her?" over and over again. He was so shocked! We won - thanks to "our angel" Dr. McKeen. Al received 3 years worth of back payments and no longer worries about becoming homeless. But on top of that, theres still more!!! Since then, Dr. McKeen researched possible causes for Als seizures and figured out that he has a pyridoxine (B6) deficiency due to a genetic defect. Guess what? She put him on a methylated form of B6 and weaned him off his toxic meds. He is now totally off both seizure medications and has not had anymore seizures since. The shakes are history and hes even getting a little plump! His energy level is improving and we are shocked that something SO SIMPLE was missed by M.D. after M.D. after M.D., etc. We now spend a whole, whopping 8 bucks a month to buy this methyl B6 and keep him healthy! Dr. McKeen went so, so, so far above and so, so, so far beyond what was ever expected, much less dreamed of or hoped for, and we consider her OUR HERO. And when we tried to tell her how extremely grateful we were, do you know what she said? She said it was "Her great pleasure to have helped". Shining On...

Dr. Erika is the best diagnosticians Ive ever come into contact with. She cares about her patients, gives them the best care, has a wealth of experience and is caring on top of that. She will exceed your needs with whatever it is you may need in the treatment you get from her. I highly recommend this clinic and her as a Doctor in general.
