Went to honor health north mountain for colon cancer surgery on April 26th 2017 was supposed to be there 3-4 days on Sunday april 30th when I awoke I was in severe pain a Dr came in ran a CT scan stat said there may be a slow leak in the sutures lets put off surgery a little bit and see how it goes. On Monday May 1st I was still in pain so they did another CT with dye said they cant really see much so lets wait on surgery and put in a drainage tube and see if that drains everything. Than on Tues May 2nd while going to the bathroom I felt a huge pop and really bad pan they rushed my into surgery I had a leakage which became infected so they had to give me a colostomy bag now. After postponing surgery twice. On top of all this Im diabetic and they cant regulate my sugar or my blood pressure.. On May 8th my sutures became infected because the staff wasnt cleaning them and the Dr pushed on my stomach and all this junk came out and now I have no sticking there, theye just informed me today May 9th that they wont be stitching them that they will be letting it hill from the inside out. So now I get a deformity in my stomach. And they still dont know when I can go home so something that started out as a 3-4day stay is turning into over 2 wks. May 12th he had 2 more. Drainage tubes put in for infections. He isnt getting better hes getting worse. They have know idea when he is coming home. The nurses would never answer the call button I had to complain to the Dr about a nurse not coming in he had to go and get her 40 min later I was angry that she wouldnt answer the call button or when I had the tech go get her they left his dinner tray next to his urinal full of urine and his lunch tray by the bathroom with a couple of flies flying around it how nasty I told them I dont want her around George again. They still wouldnt answere the call button I had to call the nurses station to tell them he pushed the button 3 times in an hr and they never came or called him on the speaker to see what he needed On may 19th he was finally released hrs before being released he asked for pain meds 3 times the nurse said she would bring it and never did he was is so much pain when I picked him and we went to Walmart to pick up his prescriptions than that night nome health was supposed to come buy to hook up his Iv but apparently they didnt get my phone number correctly when I spoke to them gave it to them and they repeated it to me so we argued with the home health nurse trying to get him to out he said no he would be out sat morning may 20th which he did show up George has an Ive a vaccuum pump and to drainage plugs I think he was released to soon he still hurts and is very uncomfortable. The home health nurse for his wound was supposed to be set up i called them they said they never received his discharge papers yet it could be a few hrs before I hear back from them I told them his colostomy bag was leaking they said the nurse is busy they dont know if shell be able to get over her thats bs they gave me her number I called and left a message still havent heard anything back from her and then come to find out the hospital didnt give us Georges templets for his colostomy bag. I will never ever go to honor health and Im telling everyone I know not to go there

I had been to this hospital several times before with my wife because she had issues relating to our automobile accident which involved three separate back surgeries and each hospital visit.......The ER visits were really exceptional in my opinion being that the ER nurses we came across were nurses I worked with at another hospital before they got hired here and even after the back surgeries I continued to bring my wife back for various emergent issues and ended up getting the same co-workers for nurses that I used to work with which made my worries a little easier. The ER doctors were really great....I dont think I could say enough about them, I just have issues with the NPs who work in ER mostly because of their "holier than god behavior....the I walk around and my crap dont stink attitude" other than that, just awesome people. Then.....I had the rather unfortunate situation of spraining my ankle on Sunday and ended up going to the ER to get it looked at. The ER triage nurse again was somebody who I was familiar with at the facility I worked at because she teaches there on weekends, but needless to say she was really good about trying to get me back there despite the amount of patients ahead of me, but that didnt bother me at all considering the amount of pain I was in and the Tylenol that was given to me that was working beautifully! While waiting in the room expecting to see a doctor I ended up seeing a Nurse Practitioner who again just had that hurried up "holier than god attitude...the my crap doesnt stink when I walk attitude". After the X-Rays which really hurt like hell and the RN coming back in with a ice pack in a pillowcase, I ended up being discharged home with pain meds and crutches. I would without a doubt consider coming to this hospital if I ever had a medical issue that needed emergency care and I would not even hesitate bringing my relatives here if I absolutely needed to. Even though I am employed with another facility here in the phoenix area, I will say that if you are ever in the Sunnyslope area and you really need emergency medical care, then without a doubt John C Lincoln would be the place to go! You just really cant go wrong with them! Things there have gotten so good that I would actively quit my position where I am working at in order to take a similar position there if I wanted to.

Terrible experience. I felt like an inmate. as soon as they saw That I was paying with a state medicare card, I sat there while everybody that came in after me went through. and when I asked why? they got angry.( I guess this inmate was a trouble maker) When I finally got sent back to the second waiting room there was a room full of angry people being completely ignored for hours. So finally after about 5 hrs. I got a room There were patients so angry that they were cursing at each other from one room to the next. Then after hours of blood tests and monitoring this new age hippy Doctor told me straight to my face that Doctors can no longer administer Ativan to patients anymore because of the opioid epidemic. Complete bleeping lie. She lies right to my face. meanwhile Ive never had an opioid addiction. Then when I started to respond she walked out the door. She had no interest in being bothered by me anymore. So then at this point Im supposed to wait for the social worker to give me info. another hour or two goes by and I decide to rip off everything they had on me except the one where the medicine goes. This must have prompted the correction officer ( I mean the nurse to call security). This dork shows up asks me if I need anything and I said yes I want the nurse to take this off me so I could go home. He said theyre waiting for the social worker and I said Im not waiting 2 hours, he thought that was funny and laughed at me. so needless to say I will never be a patient here again. I didnt feel cared for at all. It was a horrible experience.
