Myself and members of my family had been going to Scottsdale Hills for many years. While I havent quite experienced what i would consider poor patient care i have recently experienced poor service from staff. My west highland white terrier was a patient at Scottsdale hills for a few years and during that time had some tests, xrays, etc. performed. Recently when pet became ill i contacted Scottsdale hills to obtain any records that they had because i was seeing a couple specialists (cardiologists and internal medicine) who wanted to see all history dating back as far as possible. Having had X-Rays and other tests completed at Scottsdale hills a few years ago i figured this would be a good place to start collecting data but they had none. In fact they had no record of me what so ever and blamed this due to a newly updated system. The service representative i spoke to initially could not find any records using my last name, pets name, or phone number as points of reference. I then mentioned family members which share the same last name had been there within the last few months and had fairly consistent visits prior to that. The service representative searched for every last name starting with the first two letters of my name with no results then asked if perhaps i had another last name? Then asked if i had contacted the right establishment. After becoming rather frustrated i was told that someone would look into the matter at once and call me back. A couple weeks (or more) later i receive another call from same service representative asking me to remind them if they ever found my pets records. I said no, she searches again and no record of anyone with my last name. At this point its too late anyway because ive already seen specialists so i politely say that its okay but mention that i will be reviewing them. Around 10 minutes later i receive another call mentioning that they have managed to find info on one pet belonging to a family member but nothing on mine. If youre looking to a long term vet i suggest looking past this establishment because their inability to store, archive or properly maintain medical information that you are paying them to accrue may be lost and you just might find yourself in my situation. I understand the need for businesses to modernize technology but find it surprising that there was no method to search data stored in a previous system or that my request was not prioritized until i mentioned the word "review".

What an amazing office! Not only are the staff members and doctors very thorough and extremely helpful, they actually follow up and check on your pets! I was referred to this office by the AZ Humane Society because I feed about 25 stray/feral cats at my house and needed some help with low cost vets and spay/neutering. This office offers payment plans which is the best thing Ive heard of! Another thing, they are open 7 days a week and until 7 pm! There is also someone there all the time, so they do not close for lunch. This vet office seriously is awesome!!!! Im so glad I found my new forever vet for my kitties!

My cat was very sick last Saturday and I had never been to here before, but they were open when I needed help. They were friendly and courteous. My cat needed emergency surgery and Dr Bessemer was amazing. He saved my cat and today she is recovering well. They offer payment plans for large expenses and came in under their quote for surgery. They kept me informed of the surgery, how my cat was doing the morning after and I cannot thank them enough for the service they provided.

The worst animal hospital I have been to. The staff are rude and the doctors dont know anything. I took my dog many times to these people and kept on telling them about his issues and all they said was, "oh he is just fine...he is a healthy dog". Well he ended up dying a few days later and I ended up spending a lot of money and to this day they still dont know what his illness was. Do Not Trust them. They only care about money, not you or your pets..

I have had dogs for 45 years and Dr. Besemer, Mia, Susan and the whole staff are absolutely the best. They are so helpful in getting you in for appts. right away. Dr. Besemer is the most caring doctor and spends a lot of time explaining your pets condition and options. Scottsdale is very fortunate to have Dr. Besemer and staff in our area.

Dr. Bessemer & his entire staff are so incredibly loving, attentive, & sharp! Theyve taken care of our babies for over 14 years, if I recall. Exceptional service, & we are grateful they are open 7 days/week. They treat our babies like their own, & we love them like family!

I having been bringing my dog to this place for years. I moved much further north in Scottsdale 2 years ago and despite the fact that there are many vets closer, I continue to take my dog there. The entire staff is competent, efficient and compassionate.

Yes they take payments because they are overpriced. Been going there for years and after they botched my cats neutering i have starting going to a different vet. The reviews say it all. Just be careful when choosing this vet.
