I have a Belgian Malinois (extremely high energy breed) who broke his toe while playing fetch. Took him here to get x rays ($157), x-rays determined it was broken so they put his foot in a splint ($90) and charged an exam fee ($40) The splint was too small for his foot and his toes were wrapped too tightly together so he developed sores and raw skin between his toes. We returned to the vet to change to a bigger splint and we were charged another exam fee ($40) and a splint change fee ($90). The splint itself is about $3.00. My dog started showing signs that he was in pain shortly after the second splint so I decided to educate myself on how to change a splint and wrap. I unwrapped the leg and applied neosporin to some raw spots and re-wrapped, he was much better after this. Every few days I would unwrap, treat raw spots and rewrap so I got pretty good at it. After a couple weeks of this I spotted a crack in the splint. I called this vet to ask them if I can purchase a new splint and I will wrap it myself. I was told that I would have to bring my dog in and pay them to rewrap the new splint. I insisted that I will wrap it myself since I have been doing it for two weeks now and I cant afford to pay $90 plus $40 exam fee especially since he is such an active dog and may break the new splint in a day or it may last another 2 weeks til hes fully healed. I was told that if my dog goes through splints this fast that he would need surgery (wow the first splint was too small and this is the only splint thats broken and its been almost 4 weeks). I asked the girl who answers the phone to have Dr Darcy call me so I can explain all of this to her and ask her if they can sell me just the splint because I already ordered 2 extra splints online but they wouldnt be here for 2 days and my dog needs a new splint immediately. Dr Darcy never called me back. Its too bad that they couldnt sell me just the $3.00 splint as they have now lost a customer for life and I will also be telling the members of my dog club about my bad experience

My beautiful dog is almost 2, and we have been with Mountain View Animal Clinic from the very beginning. We went with the puppy package (including all of her shots and her spay). We had dogs our whole lives, but this was our first puppy. Needless to say, we had a LOT of questions. Dr. Lopez and the amazing assistants answered all of our questions and made us feel like we were in VERY good hands. You actually cant see the spay scar unless you are in a certain light and our girl was up and about much sooner than we expected. Dr. Lopez did an amazing job!! And, when we were informed that one of the puppies from our dogs litter had a case of cherry eye, Dr. Darcey showed us a simple fix and informed us about surgical options in case our girl had it too. On our last vet visit, during a physical exam, Dr. Darcey found that our beautiful doggy has a luxating patella (a kneecap that moves out of place). I honestly didnt even know that dogs had kneecaps! Now we feel very informed about her condition and know what to watch for. We absolutely LOVE Mountain View Animal Clinic and couldnt be happier with the care the wonderful staff has shown us. Thank you Mountain View Animal Clinic! We love you!

I cannot say enough good things about Mountain View. We have been taking our dogs there for a couple of years and have had completely positive experiences. The first time we went, I was very impressed with the vet, as she got down on the floor and interacted with my dog to get to know her and do a physical assessment of her. We have been to the clinic for everything from general check-ups and immunizations to injuries and surgeries. They have even worked us in during emergency situations. The staff is very compassionate and friendly. They all know me and my dogs by name. We have worked with both vets, and all staff members and everyone is very thorough in their exams and treatments. Both vets always take the time to answer my questions, and explain their answers in depth. They always make me feel like I am the priority and they have all the time in the world for me and my dog while we are there. They are very friendly toward all breeds, especially pit bulls (both my dogs are pitties). My dogs actually love going to the vet. We pull in the parking lot, and they get so excited, they jump out of the car and run to the door. I highly recommend Mountain View to everyone.

I really love Mountain View Animal Clinic. I love how Dr. Lopez treats my little pit bull, he always gets down on the floor with her and holds her and cuddles her while giving her an exam. My pit bull has a lot of health problems, but I feel like Mountain View is very reasonably priced. I live in Salt Lake City, but every vet I took her to here was really overpriced and didnt spend much time working with me, and I would usually have to wait weeks to get her in. I feel like Dr. Lopez has a very straight-forward manner, which I assume some pet owners can find abrasive, because hes not afraid to point out bad behaviors we unassumingly instill in our pets and how we can correct those. Ive been to several vets, and this is by far my favorite. Recently, my pup was in for diarrhea and I was shocked to find out than a routine exam with a fecal exam was only $60 altogether; when I took Lily in for a fecal exam in Salt Lake City, it was over $120, without medication.

My dogs have been served by Mountain View Animal Clinic for 17 years. The current veterinarian/owners are excellent. By the time the new owners came along my two Yellow Labrador Retriever sisters were elderly. Both dogs required minor surgeries, which were done with professional competence and care. At the end of their lives the clinic handled the necessary euthanasia with compassion. After a hiatus I returned to Mountain View Animal Clinic with a Golden Retriever puppy. Im a fair dog trainer, but received some excellent tips from the vet. All the usual puppy exams, shots, and spaying was accomplished without hassle. Ive owned many dogs and have had my unfortunate share of difficulties with veterinarians. By contrast, I take my dog to Mountain View Veterinary Clinic with full confidence that they are equipped to meet my animals needs.

Horrible!! I waited a week for my appointment for my sick cat when I got there the vet assistant came into the room and told me for the vet to see me I need to buy $40 in cat food that I know for a fact she is not going to eat and is way over priced. I told her that was ridiculous and said I want to talk to the vet about it. she left me in there for a half an hour came back without the Vet and told me the vet said either I buy the cat food or theyre not going to see us... so i left! they are rude and complete waist of time i feel like they take advantage of there customers pet to make an extra buck instead of them suggesting food. it was an altomatom pretty much you do this for us or your pet dosnt get better.dont waist your time.
