This is an excellent service! Do some additional research before you trust the negative reviews. I got my puppy in April 2011 and immediately took her to the vet my parents use. They are great, but when it came time to get her fixed they wanted to charge me $450 and that was with a coupon. This seemed like a lot to me. I wanted the best care for my dog and I didnt want to sacrifice her health or wellness just to save money. After researching low cost spay/neuter providers, I decided to go to the Spay Neuter Clinic and it was a great decision. I had some trepidation about going there because I had read the negative reviews. I decided that if I went and didnt feel comfortable I would leave. We went as soon as they opened, which I would recommend because there was no wait. We met with the vet and she was amiable. I had read some reviews that the people were rude, but everyone was very helpful. The vet answered all of my questions and she made me feel at ease. When I went to get my puppy that afternoon she was in great spirits and acting her normal self. The receptionist asked me if I wanted any sedatives to keep my puppy calm so she wouldnt rip her stitches. I turned them down that day, but the puppy was so hyper the next day that I called to see if I could get the sedatives. I was able to get them that day. We followed all the care instructions and my puppy healed up great and had no issues. I had an excellent experience with the Spay Neuter Clinic. They provided a great service at a fraction of the cost my vet wanted to charged. Just take what the other reviewers say with a grain of salt. This clinic performs these operations everyday and they know what they are doing. Chances are the negative reviews are not presenting the whole story and their negligence probably contributed somewhat to their pets complications. The reason I wrote such a long review and am so passionate about this is that the negative reviews I read before we went really made me nervous about this place. After the fact I am so happy I took my dog here and I dont want the negative reviews to deter someone like me who needs an affordable place to get their dog fixed.

I brought my cat in to be spayed. After the operation everything seemed pretty smooth, they gave us care instructions and let us know possible short term side affects. The next day our cat seemed to be experiencing said side affects and we followed the instructions on what to do, but throughout the day she seemed to be deteriorating rapidly. At one point she seemed to stop breathing all together. We rushed her to an animal hospital that was thankfully right outside our neighborhood. They tried to revive her but told us that upon attempting cpr some kind of substance was coming out through her stitches, the veterinarian also let us know that since this was coming from the inside out this was a direct infection that was caused by the surgery and there wasnt any chance shed survive! After a day or two we contacted the clinic figuring we could get our money back since we were not at fault and had documents to prove it. The receptionist was extremely rude and unwilling to give us any information on how to contact someone, she said we should look it up ourselves because she was authorized to give that information. We eventually got a hold of a number for someone in corporate, we called every single day and always left messages and never heard back from then again! They were EXTREMELY unprofessional and uncaring i would never recommend!

A large volume of soft tissue emerged from the incision after we brought our cat home. He was smearing blood on the floor, was in a lot of pain, and was put at significant risk of infection. We went back but the doctor had left and the techs couldnt do anything about it. Even if I hated my cat to the core of its being I wouldnt torture it like this. We took it to the university animal hospital and they helped fix it up - at approximately 6x the cost. Who knew that choosing the cheaper option would cost so much in animal pain, in inconvenience to me and my family, and to my wallet. I hope to never (ever) make any use of the services of the spay neuter clinic, and I am going to direct any and every person that mentions it away from them. At this point I am seriously considering taking them to small-claims court, and/or filing a complaint with the better business bureau. This was a horrible experience.

This place was great! We just picked up our puppy and she looked just as good as when we dropped her off this morning. Initially, we were hesitant because weve been going to our nearby vet for everything, but after stopping by for an initial visit we knew they would take care of our pup. The vet techs were very informative, friendly and answered all the questions we had. It was also much cheaper than our regular vet prices. We were quoted $400 by our vet and here it only cost around $100 total with meds combined. I would highly recommend this place as they specialize in doing this every day. This is why the prices are much cheaper because they dont have to cover the cost of other operations/medications that regular veterinary places offer.

Take note that the negative reviews are all from 4 to 6 years ago. Maybe there was a problem at that time? Over the years I have had my personal pets, plus about 20 feral cats, spayed and neutered at this clinic, mostly by Dr. Peters. I have not had any problems with any of these surgeries. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and Dr. Peters has always been very professional. I just wanted to add that I have had a lot of experience with this facility, all positive. This involves about 25 to 30 visits over several years. It is heartbreaking to know that some people had such sad outcomes. I hope that is a thing of the past.

NIGHTMARE...DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS THERE. We took our little dog to get neutered, I picked him up and noticed that the stitching was very messy and looked like they were missing a few stitches. They reassured me everything was normal and he did great. He started bleeding on the next morning. Sunday morning it opened up ENTIRELY and we had to rush him to the hospital and he had to be stapled up. DO NOT TRUST THEM, they will not take responsibility for their actions and were not remorseful. If you do, make sure to take a picture of the wounds before and after you leave for your own records and legal purposes!!!

I should have listened to the reviews on here. I took my cat in thinking it was a male, it wasnt he is actually a she. She was pregnant and they aborted her babies before telling me!!!!! She was five weeks!!! Five weeks pregnant an they didnt think it was something to inform me about!!!! I will be honest if I was told she was pregnant I would have asked for a couple of days to think about it an gone from there, but they didnt even give me that choice!!!! Now I am praying everything will go ok, but just to be sure I have an appointment tomorrow with another doctor for my cat. DO NOT GO!!!
