When my mare had a hind end lameness that needed to be pin-pointed, I turned to the vets at Southwest Equine. Dr. Gazzerro and Dr. Alward were extremely thorough in her lameness exam, spending a lengthy time evaluating her. They took the time to explain everything to me, so I understood all the implications and next steps. Theyre professionalism, knowledge, compassion and communication with the horse owner are outstanding. I highly recommend Southwest Equine if your horse has a medical need!

Dr. Ashley Alward, DVM is a kind, very intelligent, professional and experienced equine Veterinarian in Scottsdale. She has never disappointed in care, education, information, compassion or prompt attention to details and/or emergency service. They offer 24 hour emergency service and during office hours, Cindy is the lovely office manager whos compassion makes just about any call to the Vet an absolute pleasure! All of the interns are excellent, engaging and knowlegable. Highly recommend.

I have had great experiences with Drs. Ashley and Autum, both for regular maintenance as well as emergencies. I recommend to everyone to find a vet you like and stick with them. It is invaluable when your vet comes out and already knows your horse and its health history. I highly recommend these woman. In addition to being knowledgeable and professional, they will make you feel like you are their only client that day. Thanks for years of great care.

When I moved to Arizona I started my veterinary carer at Southwest Equine and I have been involved with the veterinarians and staff there since 1985 and it is still and has always been a great place. I still refer cases there all the time and feel confident that they will handle the horses and their problems in the most appropriate way. I will continue to be involved with them as long as I am a veterinarian.

Amazing care and full treatment in an emergency!! Dr Randi Woods was absolutely wonderful when my horse went down from colic. Her calm and very caring demeanor helped me as well. It was extra scary for me since I had never had Southwest Equine out to help me and they did not know my horse. He is fully recovered and I could not be more relieved or happy!
