I took my miniature schnauzer into this clinic last night and we were both treated very kindly and professionally. My dog could barely walk, as he had suddenly lost functioning of his hind legs in mid-afternoon. When I arrived, I told the woman at the desk that he could not walk, she immediately lead me to an exam room and brought in a comfortable bed for my pet. She was kind and helpful. The technician came in and also was kind, patient, and gentle. The doctor came in shortly after that and did the exam and determined to the best of her ability without e-rays and CAT SCAN what the likely cause of this could be--pain along the spinal column which could be secondary to a number of issues. She explained carefully what the proposed solution for that night was and what the follow up would be and provided the treatment plan and cost for me to first approve and sign. The veterinarian was very thorough and spoke in plain language. There was no pressure and full explanation was given. I had a very positive experience with this clinic and would take my pet back there in the future if need be. The cost was reasonable for what needed to be done and I felt relieved when I left and he slept comfortably through the night. His medications appear to be helping to keep him comfortable for now and we will see our regular vet this week. VCA provided the examination records for my veterinarians office. I gave this office a high rating because of my very positive experience last evening. Unfortunately, I do not recall the doctors name.

Just like an emergency room for people, emergency rooms for animals are expensive. Any emergency vet is going to be expensive, so dont gripe! Anyways, I am so happy that a friend recommended VCA when i frantically called her fri night panicing and upset about my dogs open incision created by an incompetent vet that i saw earlier that day. So when I went to VCA and the sweet receptionist(i think it was Lindy?) got on the floor and told my dog how cute he was, it meant everything to me. She obv loved dogs and the fact that she was nice to me and my dog calmed me a lot! They got me in fast and were very calm. The calmness was something that I wasnt expecting being an emergency clinic, but really liked it since it decreased my stress over my dogs gaping wound. And yes they presented a high bill, but you know what, it was worth it. I could have had him wrapped up and waited til the morning to go to my usual vet that accepted my health care plan. The same vet that butchered my dog in the first place, heck no!! It was worth the extra $150 to me to have a competent vet and a loving staff take care of my dog. And she called me to let me know my dog was waking up from the anesthesia just fine. If you have a pet emergency and need to go somewhere, take your furkids to VCA, they do a great job medically, are sweet people and truly love your pets!

I had the terrible decision to make to euthanize my 20 year old cat, Bandit. I was going to go to the Emergency Animal Clinic off of Scottsdale Rd. further north but I had previously had a bad experience there. I saw there were some good reviews for this Emergency Animal Hospital and, thank God I did. They were so kind and compassionate. They let us take our time, never rushed us. They knew it was a very painful thing to have to do. They made one of the worst things I have ever had to do as easy as they possibly could have. They eased my nagging doubts about it without putting words in my mouth. I am ever grateful for their kindness on that incredibly sad day and would recommend them to anyone who has an animal friend who needs some emergency care.

Good customer service over the phone, very accommodating upon arrival, quick response times, compassionate, well informed, and professional staff. Dr. Carlton Huitt explained not only what he recommended but also why he recommended it specifically for our pet & his technician went above and beyond with helpfulness, empathy, understanding, and support. Its unfortunate when one of our beloved pets needs to be taken in for medical attention; but, if you find yourself in this situation I would suggest the support of VCA Paradise Valley Animal Hospital. A big thank you from Clutch & his family!

The entire staff was so kind and compassionate. Our sweet Patches became suddenly ill. The did everything possible and made her comfortable. At 13 1/2 it was her time. As sad of a time as it was, they all were there for us to answer any questions and gave us as much time as we needed. They were truly comforting.

Love everyone here and have had to go a few times with my old cat. The staff shows a lot of compassion and most services are available to help treat any issues your pet may be having if your regular vet is unavailable.

Adrianne at the front desk was amazing help and very sympathetic. i can only assume the waytheir clients are treated is a reflection of how well they take care of their patients.

Our dog had passed away late in the night. It was nice to know I could take her somewhere right away. They were nice and handled our dog with dignity.
