I hate leaving any kind of negative review, but here it goes... I took my cat in and I was told by the vet that he had stomatitis. He wanted to give him a type of steroid and remove the rest of my cats teeth (he was already missing teeth when I rescued him). My cat is an older cat (estimated to be 10 years old). I didnt want to put him through surgery, but he was in a lot of pain. When I picked him up, they explained to me that they left his canine tooth because they believed it was solid and wouldnt cause any more problems. My cat got better but a couple of months later he was in pain again. They decided to remove his remaining tooth, which they had left purposely, and charged me another $300 plus. This time he did not get better. We took him back and the vet confessed that he should have done X-Rays before the first surgery because my cat may have roots in his mouth of his previous extracted teeth. They charged me for that visit plus the pain meds. The vet offered to "pay" for the X-Rays but not the extractions if it was needed. I decided to do more research and in every article on veterinary sites they state that X-Rays are a MUST before extractions...also all examples of cats with stomatitis had ALL of their teeth removed. My cat did not get better so I scheduled the X-Rays...or so I thought. When I arrived for his appointment I was given the exact same information and told to schedule the x-rays for a different day...they charged me AGAIN for that visit. There was no way I was putting my 10 year old cat under anesthesia 2 more times...so I went home and sent an email to ASK ARIEL and did more research and changed his diet. He is MUCH better now. I will not be returning to Auburn Animal Hospital. The only good thing I can say is that everyone who works there seems nice.

VERY RUDE!! The only people who wont give you attitude are the very nice Vet Techs, and Vet Assistants. I made an appointment a few days early and noticed the lady I was talking to seemed very annoyed over the phone, she was sighing loudly and making it very obvious that she was annoyed. I ignored her rude gestures because I needed to bring my dog into the vet. I arrived 15- 20 minutes before my appointment. The moment I came into the door I was met by rudeness from the front desk staff. I stood there for a few minutes before they acknowledged I was there. I was then given a paper to fill out, I returned it within 5 minutes. I waited for my appointment and the time came and went! I was called to see the vet after I was waiting 45 minutes after my appointed time. And may I remind you I arrived at least 15 minutes early! On top of that, the ac was turned down and my poor dog was getting very hot! I had to fan her with a magazine while I waited. Another annoyance was a few people who arrive after me saw the vet and left before I did! When I finally got to see the vet she seemed very impatient and scrutinized everything I said. She even asked if I was the actual owner of the dog! Im not an ignorant person, I didnt ask stupid questions, I answered her questions the best I could and this is how I get treated? I just moved to this area from Orange county and was told they have a very good vet. I saw a few reviews online about their terrible customer service, but thought maybe some people were exaggerating. I am NOT returning to this vet, Id rather drive 3 hours to Yorba Linda and see my original vet that treats everyone with respect!

If I could give no stars I would! Not once but twice they have failed to properly care for my dog. The first time the Dr failed to realize sancho needed a blood transfusion for the blood he had lost and gone into shock nearly dying in their care. He was transferred to another vet were he had to receive 6,000 in care and had lost motor function because of the lack of blood & oxygen to his brain. Auburn had told me he was "fine and stable." On may 19th I took him in for a swollen and bloody paw they said he had a foxtail and charged me 272.99 to have it removed and medicine to take at home. I was told it would clear up in 2-3 days. Now 2 weeks later it is still bloody and hasnt cleared up I called to let them know and ask why I was charged so much if they didnt even diagnose him right or properly treat it and they said oh well youll have to bring him in again and to even see him it will be $48 plus treatment! Stay away from there if you want your pets properly cared for and not have to dish out hundreds of dollars for nothing.

I have been coming to this vet for year and I use to love it. Know recently I got another puppie and decited to bring her to the same place two years later the receptionist are so rude about everything and unprofessional one of the girls walks in saying out loud that who had checked in my dog And they were all talking about my dog maybe having parvol. My dog does not have parvol!! She was sick because of the food change she had recently!! I so disappointed in the place that I had come for years I do not recommend this vet.

Love this place!! The vets, the office staff and technicians are all great! I went through a difficult time having to put a cat down and the staff and vet were very compassionate and understanding of my difficult time. Even went out of their way to make me a little keepsake of my beloved baby. Best veterinary office I have ever been to! Take my pets there for everything. Got an appointment in a few days as a matter of fact. =0) Yes, thank you to the whole staff at Auburn Animal Hospital!

Love this place due to the excellent service and caring heart of Dr Hamilton and her staff. My friend uses this vet and says these people are the best in Bakersfield. With this knowledge I brought my friend here to have his dog seen who is very sick. Their kindness and thoroughness is really appreciated. Pricing is pretty stiff for an emergency show up so I do recommend obtaining an appointment if possible.

I am so grateful to the Vets at Auburn Animal Hospital. They saved my dogs life when another vet in town was suggesting we put him down. We are so happy with the level of professionalism, kindness and compassion that veterinarians and office staff showed to us and our little family member. After this experience, I am taking all three of my dogs here. I would highly recommend this animal hospital.
