I had a lovely 1st visit with kind and caring staff. I signed an estimate for my dog to be spayed for $ 386.66.. I paid the 171 for that visit and was told that the rabies vaccination would be given on day of surgery. On the morning of surgery I took my dog in and another very nice vet tech did the intake. We talked about my dog on how cute she was she had me sign two papers which I did... I did not look at the new numbers and she did not go over the forms with me. I assumed ( which was completely my fault) I didnt even think that the estimate previously would be different before the surgery and no where on the original estimate did it say additional charges may apply... so I signed. On pick up the total was $ 468.24. I asked why and the afternoon staff was rude and said "I dont know what to tell you" I retrieved my original estimate and went back in. Another even more rude tech looked at it and said as LOUD as she could "this is NOT what you signed this morning" as I tried to explain to her I will pay, I just dont understand the price difference. She just kept yelling "YOU SHOULD ALWAYS READ EVERYTHING YOU SIGN" she spoke to me as if I were uneducated and simple. I just wanted to have her or someone go over the difference in prices and explain what the extra charges were and why. Yes, I know that had I read the NEW estimate on intake I could of asked those questions... I take the blame for trusting and believing that there was no fee snuck into my new paperwork esp. When the original had a low price of $ 319.17and high price of the $386.66 plus, I was distracted by the tech and my dog, nonetheless I paid what was due. The way the staff spoke to me in front of other customers as well and the lack of respect shown and the hidden fees that were thrown into the procedure, we will NEVER return to this facility... and to boot my dog did not get the Rabies vaccination. I work in two very reputable facilities here in fresno and I had previously recommended multiple co workers to this facility. I have since then called each of them and told them my experience and each of them have decided to go with another vet.... which was my number 2 choice when I did my research mainly because of location. I know now I should of taken the my dog to the vet further from home.

The vet services here are pricey. Thats the main reason we dont come here for that usually. On the occasios we have taken pets in for med/vet services, the staff was prefessional and we felt we got all questions answered. They dont push services on you, but we have opted out of some recommended services just because of the price. Compared to kennels weve used before, the boarding costs more, but we feel like we are definitely getting our moneys worth in the case of boarding. We use the VIP services so we can watch the doggies on our cell phones when we are away. There have been a vew bumps along the road, like not following instructions given regarding blankies for dogs dropped off and requiring a 30 minute interview with a tech regarding meds, food, etc. even though we put the same dogs there with the same instructions four months in a row. However, I have to say that once I brought issues like this up, they were addressed to our satisfaction. This time areound I dropped the dogs off with a printed list of meds and times given and it was a snap. I like the responsiveness to our needs. We have been satisfied with the vet services provided by Dr Johnson and the boarding overall. We get the dogs groomed on the last day of their stay. That seems to be hit n miss, but this last time was spot on! We recommend Pet Medical Center and Spa if you arent on a budget.

I was so happy and thankful that I found The Pet Medical Center during our time at Fresno. Romeo considered this his second favorite place. Next to being at home. The Doggie day care is great... such a wonderful safe place to socialize and use up some of the energy he stores up. The boarding is great. And I really love the fact that I could log on during play times and watch where ever I was. The entire staff is superb... they treat and love your pet as their own. I cannot say enough nice things about them. One of our trips to the vet included the Dr actually sitting in the floor with Romeo, just to calm him and make him feel comfortable. I reallllly love this place and the people. Just wish I could take them with me where-ever we go. Romeo knew the minute we turned the corner where he was going... and would get totally excited.... and most of the time he tried to pull the staff with him....just to get to the back. Thanks to you all...... we look forward to being back in the area and visiting again soon!!

We started coming here for an issue with one of our cats about six years ago. They took such amazing care of him that weve never been to another vet since. Every single staff member here has been so patient, and kind, and loving with our animals, as well as considerate and helpful to us. They understand, in ways that weve never experienced from another vets office, that our pets are part of our family - our babies - and they always treat them as such. We owe a lot to PMC, and well never go anywhere else!

This is a professionally staffed facility. I have brought my pet here for immediate medical needs. The vet is loving and attentive towards my dog and carefully review and recommend procedures they seek to perform. Although I ignore them, they will provide cost estimates as they go. In both cases, the vets have called the house for a follow-up on the dogs condition. The best part of all of this is that the pet feels secure and comfortable in an otherwise strange and medically stressed venue.

Avoid this business if at all possible! Their support staff was friendly but they are outrageously priced. They have a beautiful office but you will pay for the cookies in the lobby and the flat screen you watch while you wait with every charge. They should take a lesson from All Creatures who provide a comfortable but efficient facility and whose charges are reasonable and make it affordable to care for your pet properly. I do not recommend Pet Medical Center under any circumstance.

I love Pet Medical Center so very much. The staff are warm and wonderful, the customer services is the best in Fresno. The doctors are so knowledgeable and keep up with the newest medicine to help our furry friends. They have an awesome doggie daycare with lots of fun and SAFE play time. I highly recommend Pet Medical Center to anyone looking for a wonderful, caring veterinarian.
