8 days to perfect eyes From the moment I stepped foot into Dr. Davidson’s office, it was clear that this was a professional and competent team. I also read about Dr. Davidson from his promotional materials and felt confident he had the education and experience with patients to get the job done right. The NVISION team was very amenable to my scheduling issues, and they were able to get me in for the surgery less than one week from my pre-op. I had my free consultation on a Monday and was back that same week Friday for my procedure. In fact, they put my wife and I up in a nearby hotel so I could stay for my one-day post-op on Saturday, which I thought made for very patient-friendly policy. Another policy that clinched the deal for me was the ‘lifetime commitment’ that NVISION offers. During the pre-op testing, which lasted about one hour, my eyes underwent several tests- easy, painless, and conducted by a team of professional and friendly technicians and one young, helpful optometrist, Dr. Jason Lam. I would have liked to see Dr. Davidson during the pre-op, as it would have been nice to meet the guy who would be at the helm before the surgery, but apparently, standard operating procedure does not call for it. One aspect of the pre-op that I thought might have been better done was the way in which my near-sightedness was overtly disparaged. I don’t offend easily, but did the technician really have to comment- twice- something to the effect of, “Wow, you really are blind.” Indeed, I am (was), but was this comment necessary? I know you want to sell your service, but let me tell you, with -5.0 right and -6.0 left eye prescriptions, I do not need convincing! Similarly, Dr. Lam made a comment to that same effect that I also found inconsiderate and completely unnecessary. Might have considered half a point off. On the day of surgery, when I finally met Dr. Davidson, I really liked him. Cool, calm, confident, attentive, reassuring, and really tall! He answered my myriad questions and things got underway. I even got a teddy bear to hug while I was being lasered. No pain during the procedure at all- except the minor issue highlighted below. Dr. Davidson talked me through every step and again was very reassuring. The results were nothing short of a miracle! Immediately afterwards, I was basically 20/20. But in eight days, I had perfect eyes- no significant dryness, no irritation, nothing- perfect eyes in eight days! Days 1-7 were fine, and as expected, I did feel a bit of pain, dryness, and shifting vision (not to mention the annoying nighttime goggles!). Of course, I continued the antibiotic/steroid regimen of drops to 2 weeks (religiously), and at three weeks post-op, I am still lubricating for minor dryness and as advised by the NVISION folks. At day 8 though, I felt as if I had no eye issues whatsoever. Every day after that, things have only improved. Every day is better with clearer vision, and the only remaining negative symptom I am currently having is nighttime starburst effects when I look at headlights. From my research and what the NVISION team has told me, this may take up to 3-6 months to clear up completely. Overall, my healing has been much more rapid than I anticipated. The only clinical complication- though minor- that occurred was a medium sized hematoma on one of my eyes. I wonder if a more perfect surgical procedure or team would have managed to avoid this altogether. Might have considered another half point off. In sum, love it. I had a great deal of confidence in Dr. Davidson and still do. I think he is a capable surgeon and has a lovely bedside manner. His team was great and did a wonderful job technically and professional. The result is nothing short of magical! I still can’t believe it, in fact, when I wake up and have perfect eyesight. The two relatively minor drawbacks aside, I am thrilled with the result. Best investment I ever made.

I had worn contacts for 13 years before deciding to undergo the Lasik procedure. A month before the surgery I had found myself yet again with pink eye. My overwear of contacts had caused horrible infections my whole life and this time I had it! I made the decision that day, even at my young age of 22. I went online to look into it and saw that prices were all over the place and found some scary stories. A friend of mine told me about Dr. Davidson and so I did some research on the facility. I live in Orange, so the drive to Camarillo had to be worth it for me to choose them. After talking to their office and finding out about their life time commitment (kinds like insurance on your eyes....which no one else has) I was 100% sure I wanted to put my eye sight in their hands ONLY. They sent me to the local Nvision office in Newport Beach for my pre appointments so I wouldnt have to drive out to them multiple times, and then corresponded with them to make sure everything would be set for day of surgery. They also told me that they work with my optometrist, so I could have all follow up appointments with him. It felt like a family of doctors that worked together to make me feel comfortable....I mean this is my eye sight we are talking about. Day of my surgery I made the two hour drive to Camarillo, which was more then well worth it. Their office had offered to pay a night stay at a hotel around the corner so that I wouldnt have to endure the drive home after surgery and could just go there to rest my eyes. I have never heard of an office being so kind! When I got there it was clean and I enjoyed some snacks to help calm my nerves. I met with the really tall Dr. Davidson and he went through the procedure step by step so I knew what to expect and answered all of my questions. He made me feel comfortable even after I had asked probably 15 specific questions. My procedure took approx. 16 min. (which I know because I have the whole thing caught on video via mother dearest). After I sat up I looked at the clock and immediately saw a difference in my vision. Then I was finished! I took the picture I posted with Dr. Davidson minutes after the procedure then followed instruction to sleep the rest of the day. Next morning I came back in where the manager and girls asked how I was doing and I went through some tests to make sure everything was starting to heal correctly. Two days after the procedure I was at work without contacts or glasses. Best decision Ive ever made! Thanks to Dr. Davidson and the office for being so hospitable and making me feel at ease!

Painless process, AMAZING results! Dr. Davison, Dr. Lowry, and the entire NVISION staff take the worry out of vision correction. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I was able to schedule a free consultation within days of calling. During the consultation all my questions were answered. I was able to meet Dr. Davidson and observe a live eye surgery, and I was given an honest evaluation about my suitability for vision correction. There was no high pressure sales pitch. The results seemed to speak for themselves. I was able to schedule surgery the next week and was given all pre-op instructions the day of the consultation. The day of surgery was very quick and painless. Dr. Davidson and NVISION doctors and staff walked me through the entire procedure step by step. The surgery itself was less than 10 minutes. I noticed an immediate difference and was able to see 20/20 the next morning with no pain at all. My vision has only continued to improve each day. I experienced very minor dry eyes and night glare which I expected as it was explained to me clearly before the procedure. Now just three days later, those minor issues have already shown drastic improvement and I notice continual improvement daily. NVISION staff has continued to keep in touch with frequent phone calls to help me with any questions or concerns. I dont know why I waited so long to have this procedure. The results are simply AMAZING! I can now wake up every morning with great vision without the hassles of contacts or glasses and no longer have to worry about falling asleep with contacts in only to wake up with dry contacts and irritated eyes.
