Im very thankful that this grocery store exist in Castro valley There are no other dedicated organic grocery stores for many miles around that Im aware of. There is a Trader Joes nearby that has some organic foods. The store is quite small so they are relatively limited in what they carry, but they do have a good amount of the basics for the size. The prices seem standard for organic foods. I have been shopping here for years and Ive never had any complaints. The staff is very friendly and Ive gotten to know many of them as great people over the years

Its like a Whole Foods but smaller; the best thing is that its a small business and not a large corporation. That being said, lots of great items. From chemical-free beauty products to vegan, dairy free and gluten free foods in cans, packages, and frozen foods. Fresh organic produce too, and, at times, ready-to-go sandwiches and salads. Their tea selection is also worthy of praise - its upstairs - huge and varied selection. Im so glad this place exists!
