Dr. Barsoums dental practice is a "Gold-Standard" model for how ALL businesses in America should be operated. He is the Ritz-Carlton of Dental Practices. From the minute you I walked into his office, I immediately was impressed by his Cheerful & welcoming, front desk staff, very clean & elegant office with a great decor, the comforting symbol of the Holy Cross hanging up on the wall and did I mention how pleasant his staff members were. They werent just putting on a front for new customers like myself, of the dozen or so phone calls that I heard them handle, while on my short wait in the lobby, it was clear that they treat ALL customers, new & or long time clients with the same cheerfulness. Once you get past the lobby, the impressiveness of the office continues inside, there are 2 flat screens at each station, one in front of you and one on the ceiling, not to mention, THEY PROVIDE YOU A MENU OF MOVIES, it really looks like a restaurant menu !!!, from which, you select a movie of choice as well as headphones on so that you can enjoy the movie. Its not over, after a very professional hygienist gives you the run down of what tasks theyre specifically going to do on your visit, you go through a 360 scan of your mouth, and the X-rays are all digital, so the radiation is minimized, (They dont do the whole, "Bite down and pardon me while I scramble out of the room as youre getting zapped in here routine" ....they actually stay in the room, while you do your high-tech digital scan :) .....Then they have a huge monitor (not the typical micro phish against the back light, 5 feet away, behind your back kinda of x-rays) on which you a see a close up of the x-ray of your teeth/gum line etc. and they go over specific areas that need attention or where they could tell you have not been flossing ( which I promised to work on :) ) Then, the graceful, Dr. Barsoum comes in, speaking to you as sincerely as caring father, who wants you to be as comfortable and healthy as possible, he reiterates what the hygienist stated earlier, says, your teeth are in great shape, but then kindly pleads with you to take the best care of your teeth so as keep them strong/healthy as they are, and follow his advice ( I really will floss more :)). Finally, as a cherry on top, a few hours after your visit, the ever-caring Dr. Barsoum, call you to ensure that there is no discomfort as a result of any work done during your visit AND GIVES YOU HIS PERSONAL CELL number, just in case there is something you want to ask him about.... So in closing, you probably cant tell how I feel about this dental practice from this review, so maybe you should read some of the other Google & Yelp reviews, of which, only 100% are 5-Stars On a side note, a big thank you to my little bro for the referral to this amazing practice, I can always count on Mark to refer me to great people & services.

So I hadnt been to the dentist for 7 years. It was a combination of fear and disappointment with my past experiences. However, I couldnt deny the throbbing I was feeling in my lower left jaw. I knew that a tooth had cracked and the pain was increasing. I found Dr. Barsoum through Yelp reviews and decided that after researching 12 dentists, he was the one for me. I requested an appointment online Tuesday night, and was there waiting at their office when it opened Wednesday morning. The front office was very comforting and accomodating. I did not have an appointment, but they gave me the necessary paperwork and assured me that they would work me into the schedule. Within 20 minutes, they had me in a chair and the Doctor came in and introduced himself. He asked me what I was nervous about and did everything in his power to address those issues. He then had his staff review the procedures and prices after they contacted my insurance company so that there would be no surprises. The staff took an X-ray to see where my pain was coming from. Once we established that a root canal was necessary, the Doctor again came in to ease my nerves and explained that I would need to return to the office in 2 hours for the procedure. When I returned, the Doctor generously administered the local anesthetic. He waited about 20 minutes to start anything to make sure I was good and numb. They then took another set of X-rays to reference through the procedure. I was given a movie and headphones to keep my mind occupied during the process. The procedure lasted around 2 hours. Dr. Barsoum completed the root canal and 2 additional fillings on the surrounding teeth. During the procedure, the Dr. constantly checked in to see that I was comfortable and not feeling any pain or pressure from the actual procedure. His assistant applied vasoline to my lips when they began to dry out. They also removed the "bite block" that propped my jaw open so that I could stretch and flex it out. That night I received a phone call from Dr. Barsoums office manager, and another from Dr. Barsoum himself to check on my pain and to see if I had any questions with my progress. I am currently on an antibiotic (the tooth was infected) and will return in 10 days for my permanent crown. I cannot recommend Dr. Barsoum and his staff highly enough. I irresponsibly avoided the dentist for the better part of a decade, but will now watch my dental health with regularity since I have confidence in my dental health care provider. Thank you Dr. Barsoum & crew!! See you soon!

Last week I was going over multiple dental offices in my area, unable to decide. A few stuck out with great reviews, which helped with eliminating other offices, but still torn. Until a few colleagues of mine suggested Dr. Barsoum with nothing but positive feedback. So I looked into his practice further and found, across all platforms: five stars, highly recommended, "best dentist Ive ever had," makes you feel comfortable, "you can trust him and his staff." pfft, no brainer now. Made my appointment. That same night Dr. Barsoum, personally, calls to welcome me to his practice and asked if I had any questions or concerns before I see him for my appointment. It took 10 seconds after picking up that call to feel overwhelmed with trust and security, that Ive found a great dentist. Heres the kicker. During that call I told him that I made an appointment for a quick extraction of something stuck between my teeth, close to my gum, that I couldnt get out. Fearing it would lead to infection. After a moment, he tells me to come in the next day to get that removed and I can have my regular check up on my original set appointment. He created a small window from his, Im sure, packed schedule to make sure I didnt feel any more discomfort. I still feel guilty, but I was very thankful. The staff is awesome! Especially, Lauren and Vicki of the front desk! Those two lovely ladies have gone high and low to help me sort out all my concerns, and I couldnt thank them enough! Finally, Dr. Barsoum. He definitely was busy. Yet, took the time to greet me between patients. When he was able to tend to me, I had this sense of comfort everyone talks about, as he was always concerned for my well being. During my quick cleaning, he was always apologizing for pain that I was nowhere near experiencing. Working very close to my gums, I had no discomfort, no pain, and with that Im very happy. For those who took this time to read this, I hope you can understand how well the staff and Dr. Barsoum takes care of their patients. You will have a sigh of relief the day you make your first call. If youre a little too far from his Upland or Chino office, itll be worth it to make a trip! I trust I am in good hands, and you will be too!
