My family and I have been patients of Dr. Robert Rice for almost thirty years and some of us with Dr. Allred for several as well. What is very special about these men and this practice is the time, kindness, knowledge, and patience taken for everyone they treat. I recommend them without reservation for their teaching, communication, skills, expertise, and humane treatment of their patients. Anyone who comes to them will feel fortunate and in excellent hands. As a long time patient of this practice since the "Dr. Chase" years I can honestly say these men have made wearing glasses a pleasure and the exam process is fun and informative! I even got to use my "eyeball pictures" as "show -and- tell" for my kindergarten students and they loved it! Dr. Rice even gave a great real-life visual to use...The eye is the size of a golf ball and the lens the size of an M&M...somethings the children can relate to! I wish him well in his retirement...now Dr. Allred...dont retire too soon! Ive retired too many doctors!

Dr. Rice is the only optometrist Ive ever had. Its been 27 years now. Even when I moved to Utah for a few years, I would see him for regular check-ups whenever I was in California visiting or on business. Now I only travel a meager 35 miles to see him. He is phenomenal. Very knowledgeable, patient and thorough. One of his greatest assets is how clearly he explains every aspect of each exam and his findings. I trust him completely. I couldnt recommend any caregiver in any area of care more highly than Dr. Rice.

Dr. Allred was great. Not only does he know his stuff, but he also went out of his way to take the time with me that I needed so I could ask the questions that I wanted to ask. He didnt seem to rushed to care as some doctors are. This little bit of "extra time" makes all the difference in the world and makes you feel that much more comfortable with (and loyal to) your optometrist.
