I think most parents can agree that finding a kids dentist that is consistently good and genuinely cares about kids is really difficult. My now 4 year old has seen Dr Van and staff twice now and weve BOTH had good experiences each time. The office: Waiting room has video games now in addition to coloring and other activities. Thing is we never wait long enough to really play anything. We always end up staying after so she can play with it. Going in, we pass the treasure chest full of all stuff she can pick from after the visit. Last time we were in, we got introduced to all the new "creature friends" in their fish tanks in front of each chair- my daughter picked the finding nemo one of course. After the visit, my daughter happily walked out without a treasure toy, a sticker, and a pair of the sunglasses they use to protect the kids eyes during their cleaning. She liked them so much, they said she could keep them. And despite the building being on the older side, they manage to keep it very clean. It has a boat/nautical theme built into the whole interior which is neat. By the way, there is an anchor in the bathroom. Its cool. The staff: They were friendly from phone to face at our first visit. I had some insurance issues and they were very responsive and helped every way possible to ensure correct paperwork reached my insurance. The receptionist, Sandy, even called them for me when she didnt get a prompt response back from the paperwork. Also, they made sure the technician who worked with my daughter the first time was assigned to her again the next time since the experience went so well. I appreciate things like that. The Doctor: Dont let his youthful appearance fool you, he knows his stuff. My daughter has had a chipped front tooth, pacifier/thumb sucking issues, and 2 cavities taken care of by him (1 cavity filled, the other we are monitoring). Personally I like dentists who will be straight with you about the condition of your teeth while also staying on the conservative side of treatment. This is Dr Van. He doesnt have kids of his own but it doesnt seem to have any affect on his genuine ability to talk and interact with them. My daughter was tired and a little hungry the last time we visited and she was less cooperative than the first time. He said "no worries, kids can have bad days too." And just talked and played with her. He scheduled a no charge appointment at a later time to try again. This guy understands that kids remember bad experiences and good times at the dentist help kids form good habits of taking care of their teeth for the future. I love it!

My son had a serious cavity that needed to be treated but he couldnt sit still for the dentist and he recommended sedation. I was hesitant about that so I went to Dr. Van for a second opinion. Dr. Van was very professional and recommended a more conservative route. He used some new medication that prevented the cavity from growing. Dr. Van connected with my son and he sat still for Dr. Van to finish, 15 min later we were done and my son didnt have to go through sedation. Thank you so much for putting me at ease and for helping my son. Great practice!

Dr. McKeever and his staff make going to the dentist and taking care of ones oral health at home a lot of fun for kids. They are very kind and creative. Their office is decorated like the inside of a ship and they have a lot of things for kids to look at while visiting, including tropical fish by most exam chairs. Excellent team. My daughter is 3.5 and really enjoys her visits. She feels empowered to do a great job contributing to her hygiene and making good healthy eating decisions at home. I recommend this office for all kids.

This is definitely the place to go! Upon our warming welcome, we were serviced by Dr. Van who was very charismatic and personable. He really kicked it off with my younger brother who, typically, is not too fond of dentists. I appreciate how he made my brother feel very comfortable and at ease. Definitely satisfied with our visit!

Dr. McKeever is a wonderful, kid friendly Dentist. Dr, McKeever and his staff understand that they are working with children and support an environment geared toward this population of clients. The office is fun and the staff is wonderful! Our kids love going to Dr. McKeevers!
