last year, my cat, Popcorn, was hit and killed by a car on redondo / vista, approx 50 feet from my house and directly in front of the animal hospital. i received a phone call from julie asking me if i was popcorns mom and when i replied Yes, she gently informed me that popcorn had been involved in an accident and that they had his body at the clinic. when i arrived there 5 minutes later, the staff brought me inside and comforted me and told me that they had picked up his badly broken body and wrapped him up and respectfully placed him in a box. they removed his bloodied collar with his id tags and put it in a ziploc bag for me to keep. they advised me not to look at popcorn but to decide what i wanted to do with his body. i opted to cremate him and his ashes remain with me to this day. the staff went above and beyond their call of duty and i will forever be in debted to them.

very poor care. my cat had to be put down because he was very sick with cancer and a terrible respiritory problem. he had been seen here recently and diagnosed with a thyroid problem. a correct diagnosis probably. but when he started to deteriorate and i took him to long beach animal hospital i was told he could not be saved. they said he had cancer and his lungs were filled fluid. the point is he was sicker than belmont animal hospital diagnosed and had been for a long time. he probably suffered longer than he should have. i loved him dearly, but feel i didnt recieve the proper info. i would never have wanted him to suffer a bit no matter how hard it would have been; and was in fact; to let him go. in short i feel belmont dropped the ball and let both me and jojo down. thats my opinion and i wont be using them anymore.

I have nothing but high praise for "ALL" of the staff at Belmont Heights Animal Hospital in Long Beach, Especially Dr. Rumm and Jeanie. I still have my 17 year old Fox Terrier (Doc) with me thanks to Dr. Rumm. As active and as happy as could ever be expected from a friend of 17 years. My only regret is, that I didnt find Dr. Rumm before the affects of his dental neglect from his previous Vet of 12 years, that has led to his poor heart health and other problems related to a bad heart. If you love your pet, find someone as dedicated to your pets health as I have with Dr. Rumm. The extra years of happiness with them is worth your efforts.

Ive worked in the pet industry all of my life, and I have taken my pets to Belmont Heights Animal Hospital for many years. I have always appreciated the personalized care that I have received there. Thanks to Dr. Joel Rumm, Dr. Nelson Phillips, and "nurse" Jeannie, I have always had pets that lived to be a good old age. Because of the sincere love that they have for animals, my little dog Wheely Willy enjoyed a comfortable, long, and celebrated life. And they continue to care for the pets that I have now, with the same quality of care. This is a very heartfelt thanks to BHAH for having been there for me throughout the years.

They are friendly, take care of your pets, and know where to send you if there is something they are unable to do at their facility. I trust them with my little ones.

The staff is friendly, and caring to the pets. However the Veterinarian has very loud voice, kind of scared my cat.
