The first time I went there was on a Sunday like 6pm. My puppy was very sick (Parvo Virus) I didnt know he was infected with that virus since I had originally taken him to a Cat & Dog Hospital in Lynwood and they told me he had worms. When I went to the SG Hospital I was seen by Dr. Stewart very very nice doctor he was very gentle with my dog. He told me up front that he didnt look good and they he had a little change or survivind since he was very small. He was going to hospitalized for 4 days but he only made it till the 3rd day. He promised he will be watching him very closely and would call me if anything happends to him asap. Well he called at 2am when my puppy passed away. Ive taken there my new dog some of the staff can be a little rude but they do take good care of your dog. The other vet is a little rude also so I always try to go with Dr. Steward.

This is the 1st time i went here. Ama give u the Pros & Cons of this place.. PROS. They have Good customer Service. Everyone in the building is very nice. They are quick on their service They are also careing. $30 to see ur pet. CONS. They tryed to charge me $310 just for some x rays.. (Too much) They dont have a plan to work with u on paying. (If u dont got it ur screwd) Every services you pay separate!!! They know u care about ur pet be careful I think they tryed to play me cuz i was desperate but i didnt go threw with it. Some info they give u might be wrong. (They told me my dog couldnt mover her legs. Took her home gave her tylenol 5hrs later my dog was walking)

Their staff is HORRIBLE at client relations and customer service. My particular experience was with Irene who was extraordinarily rude, continually interrupted me, and wouldnt even let me FINISH SPEAKING to ask her a simple question, but rather talked over me louder and louder essentially saying "too bad/so sad I wont help you" until I finally just gave up!! Im a Vet Tech myself, and this is a COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE way to treat people and clients calling your hospital!!! If you dont want to be treated like an annoyance rather than with courtesy and respect, then GO ELSEWHERE for your pets care!

Ive been here recently a few times and the staff is great. They were neither rude or unprofessional. they took very good care of my pet and were very nice. maby the last few people that made poor reviews were uppity or snobby. If you want you or your pet treated with love and respect maby you should show the same. And as for the person that said the dr. called a 2 am because your dog died. If you cared more about you dog you wouldnt be mad. Im your mother died in the middle of the night you would like to know right, not when it was convenient for you. ASS

AMAZING! The whole staff is extremely helpful and understanding. I have taken all of my pets here and I have had all my friends and family bring their pets here as well. I moved out of South Gate and still continue to make the drive because of they great care my pets and I receive, they have literally saved my pets life. The pricing beats any other place, South Gate Dog and Cat Hospital is knowledgeable and inexpensive. I would highly recommend this veterinary hospital to everyone! Thank you Dr. Stewart and your great staff! :)

This was my first visit with my doggies and I will definetely be back! Dr. Stewart and his assistants/staff were awesome and made my dogs feel very comfortable. He has an awesome personality and deals well with animals which I LOVE; his "bedside manner" (if you can call it that for doggies, lol) was awesome! Put everything in laymans terms from me and that was very helpful. He has now become my regular vet. Thank you Dr. Stewart and staff!

Ive been there before I feel that they care for your pet. But its also a business. I understand business, business is money. I understand the staff is there to do their job, and some people can just give the customer a bad 1st impression. I feel this way towards some of them I cant remember names. If you have the money go for it.

Secretary and nurses are very sweet! However, every doctor we have worked with to care for our pups have been complete jerks. Not sure if they have constant bad days or just sour moods, but seriously, smile once in a while and be polite to your customers. Weve moved both our dogs to another veterinarian and are much happier (:

WORST experience EVER please try other places before you even think going there, acording to my experience there are dishonest and when you ask for the xray report its not ready and they tell come next week WHY !!! are they going to cover up or invent something on the report... they dont even show you the xray film....

Been comming here for 2 years now(2 Dogs) , receptionist are friendly and helpful.... Dont understand where the bad reviews about them come from. Goes back to the "You Get What You Give" attitude. Never seen or heard any of them be rude to anyone. Definitely recommend.....

HORRIBLE!! you charge way too much for something that should only be $200, this doctor has no heart and shut down for good. The worst service and so much wait time!! Horrible. I wouldnt ever recommend this.

Dont get me wrong the care they provide for the dog is great but that old lady receptionist is just mean. We had a tough decision to make with out dog and she just kept burring us up
