I still dont know how I was so lucky as to injure both of my shoulders in the exact same manner over a year apart, but I finally convinced myself to try and make them better. I was referred to Southland Physical Therapy for that purpose. I never experienced PT before and had no idea what to expect. I most likely have a small tear in both shoulders. My injuries arent particularly hindering,, but working with Dr. Lee, I was able to strengthen both shoulders to the point where I feel much more comfortable using them in daily activity and in sportual (probably a real word) activity. Nothing save surgery is going to ever make me 100%, but 95% is much better than 60%, and I have Dr. Lee and staff to thank for that. Speaking of the staff... theyre pretty incredible. The PT assistants (in alphabetical order) Janel (who left mid-treatment to return to school), Maki, and Monica were all incredibly supportive, helpful, and above all, amiable in what I would consider a high-stress and sometimes chaotic environment. They make you WANT to do the exercises properly and in full, because no one wants to disappoint supportive and amiable. Behind the front desk, Stephanie was always very helpful with scheduling and the paperwork. If I had a complaint about the business, its that they kept calling me Mr. C. Apparently Im not used to being treated formally or with any semblance of reverence; it always caught me off guard! But if my only complaint is "they tried to treat me with respect!", I think theyre probably doing something right. Thanks gang. Ill see you when my body breaks down further.

Absolutely not recommend this facility. I’m baffled by the previous 5 star reviews. My experience was completely different then theirs. The front desk staff was very cordial and welcoming. The PT staff was moderately pleasant. But that’s where all the good qualities end. When I was assessed and then went through the PT exercises, I felt I was going through an assembly line. My therapist showed me how to do the exercise. Instructed me to 3 sets of 15 reps and walked away. I wasn’t sure if I was doing the reps right. When I was done, the therapist was nowhere to be found. The rest of the staff was doing the same thing. Hosting and bustling from one client to another. The majority of the therapist never gave the one-on-one attention the other reviews mentioned. The therapist eventually came back to me, and proceeded to give me another set of excursuses to do. Once the instructions were given she walked way to see another patient. Again, she didn’t bother to see if I was doing the exercises correctly. When my time was up, I was ushered quickly to the front desk to make another appointment. However, after realizing how they operated, I cancelled all my upcoming appointment. In short, it felt as though their philosophy was “Get them in and get them out. And bill the insurance.” What a racquet/scam you people have going! Way to work the system, Southland Physical Therapy.

These guys are awesome. They take the time to learn about your issue and quickly and effectively help you resolve it. I would recommend this place to anyone needing PT.
