-This is a review for the Physical Therapy department only- Ive been to physical therapist before to treat facet issues in my lower back at MORE PT in Foster City. Part of the therapy included coming in two to three times a week, a warmup via the therapist instructions, therapist work on my back for 30 minutes, icing, then followed by workouts to build my core. This lasted for slightly over two months and thanks to them I recovered with out steroid injections. I recently hurt my neck with facet joint swelling and began the process of what I thought would be a similar PT experience at Kaiser Redwood City Physical Therapy. I was wrong... they gave me homework to do which consisted of three neck exercises, said to stand up straight, gave me literature and sent me on my way. No traction, no PT, no follow ups... One appointment. Youre in and youre out. Ive talked to friends who have the same issue and their treatment elsewhere is much more like the experience I had at MORE therapy...which I was expecting at Kaiser Redwood City Physical Therapy. Major disappointment in this group. It all comes down to whoever runs the PT at Kaiser.

For the last three months Ive had a pretty bad MS episode. Not driving at the moment, having difficulty walking. Went in to get an MRI, Dr calls me to tell me there is some activity going on, and says to see him in the next week or two, I call neurology in Redwood City and tell them what the Dr said, they tell me they cant schedule me because hes booked, only opening he has is late Sept. My issue with some of the front staff has been very unpleasant, we go to look for help and not to get sarcastic replies or looks. Its already uncomfortable enough being disabled some respect would be nice. Who knows maybe they are overwhelmed with to much work. At this point Im seriously considering going elsewhere.

My son injured his finger this morning. We were admitted by the ER before we could even sit down, saw an RN who did thoughtful triage, then was visited by an ED tech that carefully cleaned the injury. Our doctor was waiting before the tech finished, and inspected the injury, and ordered xrays. Within a half an hour those were finished, and 10 minutes later the doctor stopped by and said all was well. 15 minutes later we were dismissed. We read some of the horror stories in the other reviews and were going to avoid this facility, but a friend of ours who worked for KP for years reassured us we would get good care there. We did, and are thankful to everyone we interacted with today.

The new hospital building is finally here and now the old 1950s hospital building has become a medical office building. Kaiser has everything here across a campus of mismatch buildings for their patients who live in the mid Peninsula area. Huge free parking structure across the street (which I love). In the new hospital building, there is a nice looking cafeteria for the public overlooking a peaceful zen garden. The spacious hospital lobby area doesnt look like a hospital lobby, but more like a modern tech company lobby with their electronic kiosks and building directory.

During the first visit my wife was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctor prescribed her antibiotics for 5 days. Everything was very nice. But after 5 days she is still sick. My wife wrote to her physician and to the doctor who prescribed antibiotics, but nobody replied in three days. She also called to Kaiser. For some reason they decided just to connect her with a doctor from another city. The doctor said that my wife has a flu because there are a lot of sick people around right now. What a great telepathic diagnosis! She was just in hurry because of lunch.

Worse "emergency ever!!" I brought my 16 yo daughter crying and shaking in pain and they made her wait more than 45 minutes 20 at the front desk because there was no one there and 35 minutes inside. They actually saw how my daughter was shaking in pain and pretended to be oblivious about it. After 45 minutes I asked the nurses if I should run to the drug store and make sure my daughters not in pain before coming in. The worse, I really expected better from Kiser

I wish I give more than 5 stars, for labor and delivery department. Staffs are amazingly friendly, and helpful to get the baby delivered as naturally as possible. I would like to thank some of them especially - Karissa, Ayumi, Margaret Nowez, and one more staff I forgot her name my bad. Thank you thank you so much :) :D you guys are amazing. Thank you Karissa for all the work you did with smile! !!

Amazing! We just deiviered our 2nd baby here and I cant say enough about the whole team. The best care, top of the line facility and the nicest people. Made us relaxed and ultimately delivered a safe and healthy baby.

The overall experience with customer service was good but I went to get new glasses in their optometry center and they sent me completely different frames from the ones I originally ordered.

This hospital did so many things wrong, I dont know where to start. In the end, my aunt, who WALKED into the hospital in September, DIED in November.
