definitely not a 5 star vet...however, they are not priced as the 5 star vets. this vet is really not that bad in my opinion. I am volunteer for CatsInNeed Chino Hills chapter, and this vet is the vet we take all our cats to for medical attentions and spay/neutering. the facility is old, the docs are always busy, and the staff, some of them are very friendly, but there are 1 or 2 of them with zero people skills. but the docs there are good at what they do, and the prices are significantly lower( almost 30% to 40% lower comparing to other vet), and no appoint needed, they are on walk in basis. so really, they are not super good with training their staff, but for the price, its worth it to take them to experienced vets who can take care of your animals.

My chihuahua was attacked by a coyote so I took her to this animal hospital because this is where she was spayed a few years back. They wanted me to make a $350 deposit JUST for her to stay in one of their kennels until the vet arrived later that day. They had not even examined her or checked to see the severity of her injuries and I can only imagine how much more the examinations would cost me. I took her to a vet on Golden Springs Drive in Diamond Bar and they were very much more reasonable and understanding than the people here but I had to put her down because her injuries were very critical and irreparable. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking to save their pets :(

Ive gone here a couple times and the staff seems incompetent. I took a litter of kittens with diarrehea, got meds, but after a week of not working I went back to Colima, instead of taking a sample of fecal matter, they gave me another week of same meds. Vet shouldve insisted on taking the sample as kittens can become dehydrated pretty fast. Then I took another kitten who was not eating, dropped him off at 9am and I requested them to test him for panleuk, the vet recommended fluids and to keep him overnight. Called the next day around 2pm to see how the kitten was doing, they HADNT DONE TEST and HADNT GIVEN HIM FLUIDS yet. Totally incompetent.

I forgot a Juicy Couture pet carrier over there and my mom was there to pick up my dog, I called on the phone and asked them to see if they found one like it, they pretended to go to the back to get it and then told me couldnt find it. Another patients owner then mentioned loudly that they found one. Thus they gave the carrier to my mom. Very bad practice, be aware and stay aware. I am going to somewhere better for my dogs. P.S. I heard a dog in the back of the hospital crying for like 20 minutes, its the kind of crying if someone was tortured.

I came here to get my puppy his shots. Purchased the puppy package so you come back every 2 weeks. One time I came in I waited for 3+ hours my puppy had caught kennel cough and apparently its contagious after about 2 hours I had asked what was going in with a room for my pup and they just rudely told me to wait my turn out side! Well sitting in the waiting room I had found out 3 puppys have contracted parvo in their care.. Once im done with my pups shots (because I paid for all of them already) I never want to come back

This is by far the worst VET in the area. I cant believe they are actually still open! I brought my husky to have it spaded. Months later, my husky was pregnant! I went back to the idiot vet, and he accuses me of bringing different dog! Bascially, he put my husky to sleep and didnt perform the surgery. On top of that, he was having a difficult time locating my huskies file! HORRIBLE VET! This place doesnt even deserve a star! WORST VET POSSIBLE! Someone should definetly take his LICENSE as a VET away!

Ive been here 3 times already and I always ask myself why I bother going. The receptionist is extremely rude and Im hoping they fired her. Whenever I walk in, she gives me an attitude like Im not supposed to be there. If I ask her a question, she goes "CANT YOU SEE THAT IM BUSY?". There were only 2 other people in the office. I like the doctor but if they have employees who are heartless like her so dont bother going. I feel like something sketchy is going on back there...I just dont know what.

I recently purchased a 5 month old cane corso. Needless to say a few vets said she was to old to have her ears cropped or were charging an outrages sum ($600 +). Now i know the old saying you get what you pay for but this vet is the exception. Not only did he do a perfect crop, The surgery, the medication and over night stay all for $250. As for the staff the receptionist (Trish) was super cool and answered all my question.

DR SAM IS A GREAT VET,I HAVE BEEN USING HIM FOR 17 YEARS,AFTER MY DOGS GOT INTO FIGHTS HE WOULD TREAT THEM AND NEVER HAD A BAD WORD TO SAY ABOUT ME. HE TREATED MY CRAZY JACK RUSSELL FOR A BROKEN ARM HE GAVE HER SPECIAL TREATMENT AND SHE RECOVERED LIKE NEW. GO DR SAM !!!!!!! MY DOGS WERE IN HIS OFFICE SO MUCH HE WOULD SAY "NOT YOU AGAIN RUDY" I WOULD RECOMMEND DR SAM TO ANY ANIMAL PERSON IN ROWLAND HEIGHTS.

The care/concern given by the doctors and Trish is commendable. Although, at times, they can be very busy, they will always find the time to address your concerns. Our elderly cat is always treated with special gentle attention and honest diagnoses. The only negative might be the parking situation - not always easy to find a spot.

Took my English Bulldog for a c-section and the pups ended up dying. Before they died, I took them to another animal hospital and they told me that the pups were premature. Very upset because the c-section was scheduled according to what Colima Animal Hospital thought was the due date. Never coming here again, very disappointed.

Ive had some bad experiences similar to what others here has reported, so I wont rehash. Lets just say, he recommended a bunch of stuff, i paid like $800, and then went to go get a 2nd opinion, and the other vet said "nothing wrong with your dog." Basically, find another vet to see your dog.

I took my cat in for an object in his eye. The doctor litterally pulled the eye so far to show me nothing was there , the eye ball almost popped out. My cat was traumatized and I was too. DO NOT go here. There are better vets, like VCA clinics and Dr Collins and Amar animal hospital.

I take my dogs here for all the vaccines. Takes no longer than a minute and the service is great. The staff there are really nice and explain everything clearly to me.

Worst vet ever stay away! They lose records and charge multiple times and never once did the vet ever tell me about my cat. They dont care about your pet stay away!
