When having a c-section at Queen of the Valley the OB in charge, which was not my regular doctor, began yelling at the nurses. He was irate and throwing his arms around as if he were going to hit someone. I told the nurses I did not want him near me. I was very afraid of him and had asked that my husband be brought in immediately. The nurses said it was not allowed until after they prepared me for the c-section. At this time the nurses told the Dr. that he was scaring me and he tried to justify it by telling me that it was because of my baby and stopped short acting as though he were bothered by my sensitivity. I was medicated and very drowsy and had an oxygen mask on when my husband came in and could not explain to my husband what had occurred. Shortly after my baby was born the nurses and my husband took our baby to the nursery and at this time the doctor drew a charlie brown face over my entire stomach and a basket ball net on my hip and thigh. I was still numb and the curtain was up and I could feel what I thought was him cleaning my abdomen off. When the nurses checked my stitches they asked me about the drawings, that is when I learn that he had defaced and vandalized my body. The head nurse tried to remove it but it was a surgical marker and it pulled on the incision. It could be seen for weeks. This triggered postpartum depression. Never have I experienced such vulnerability and humiliation. At this time we insisted that the doctor not be allowed in my room and wanted another doctor. This was not done instead the doctor told the nurses to release me and my child, that we were fine to go home. It was not till our follow up appt. with our pediatrician that we learn that he did not have authorization to release my child and had it listed that we left without doctors consent.

Poor service. Should be in the list of Worst Hospital in the US. Me, my wife, and 3 year old daughter were taken here after a Motor Vehicle Accident in CA 60 in Rowland Heights. Ambulance took us here since according to EMT the hospital is the only one certified in Pediatric Cases in the area. I insisted to go to Kaiser in Ontario but they cant because of my daughter. Arrived in the ER department 1:45am, nobody could register us until 30 minutes of waiting....our Ambulance EMT/Driver who happens to work part time in the same hospital decided to login into the system and register us. 2 more patients were ahead of us and nobody got them registered either. Their paramedic begged to our EMT to have them registered. We managed to get to triage in 30 mins and was directed to wait in the ED waiting room. Sat and waited there until 6am with no healthcare professional even bothered to follow up on us or keep us posted. Approached the front desk for updates and info, ED is full and only one Doctor on staff. No contigency in place for a back up MD to come in and help. Contacted Customer Relations Supervisor and filed complaint requested for updates on progress in the Emergency Department but no updates took place. If I could turn back time or any incidents in the future Ill stay away from this hospital. Me and my wife are in the healthcare field. My wife already said that the hospital is the worse since they get patients from them occasionally and is already aware of the negative feedback. Im just telling everyone what we went through....so now you know whats ahead of you if you come here. The state should take away that Pediatric certification from them. Or maybe close them down instead.

I hope this story reaches someone in your organization that cares about their patients. Today is August 25, 2016. My wife suddenly lost motor ability and had slurred speech this morning at 5:30 am. I called the paramedics for Emergency transfer. We arrived at the the queen of the valley ED within the hour. They rushed her to CT and had her labs drawn. Then we waited. They performed stroke assessments. Her CT came back. She wasnt hemorrhagic. Shes visibly impaired. A hour later, Im wondering why nothing is happening. Nurses updates. "They are checking things" More assessments."they are checking things" What is the point? Yes. She is getting worse the longer you do nothing. I was told the decision to administer tPA was delayed because they were trying determine her current medications. Why didnt you ask me. I have her current medication list on the Kaiser App. 10:30 am. The doctor cant administer tPA because he doesnt know her history. Is that the only issue? Are her coagulation levels above a safe range? 4 hours with her and this is your answer. I sat and watched as her health deteriorated. The Dr says "we are transferring your wife to her primary care physicians location Kaiser Permanente BP. They have her records there. They will give her tPA. " We wait a hour for the transfer. 11:30. She arrives at kaiser. She was taken to the Emergency Department where code Stroke was called again. 12pm Im in the ED waiting room sharing my experience with you.

Although the facilty is very clean and well kept, it is not visitor friendly at all. Nurses shift changes lasting 2 hours at a time for visitors not having access to their loved ones is rediculous. 20 min. Vistors parking? get real? Speaking of the parking lot, ready to get mugged? Although there is an overabundance of speed bumps (someone is obviously paranoid), there is definitely not adequate lighting anywhere in the parking lot. Theres no one at the information desk in the evenings, and even security from the family birth station is not knowledgable enough to give basic directions towards the ICU department. And forget about getting in contact with your loved one if they are in a room, no phones. No easily accessible wheelchairs available or offered for the handicapped or elderly to get around. 2 stars were given for the friendly demeaner of a couple of the nurses once you actually arrived to your loved ones room. I thought KP was rough because they rush you out of there so fast that you feel like a number, but I was wrong, KP is fantastic and more publicly friendly compared to this place.

Its only natural why many hospitals get bad reviews. Patients are generally in bad mood because they are sick and when things dont go the way they prefer, they are quick to pick up the phone and type how disappointed they were. I have visited hospitals in many different occassions, as a patient and guardian/family. The staff in the ER and ICU were second to none. From the initial check in area to ICU unit, they were exceptionally professional and showed much hospitality towards the patients and their families. There are exceptions to everything and of course, there was one staff member that made me wonder how she became a RN. Other than that one staff member, everyone else I dealt with were top notch nurses and doctors. Henry, who was given a difficult task of taking care of my 75 year old father, who went through a rough surgery. If all medical staffs were as professional and sincere as these folks, the trip to hispital will be much more pleasant and I guarantee it.

First off the ER is horrible!!! I was brought there a while back and waited almost 9hours in the waiting room to get called back. Then my brother had to be taken there because of his appendix. He was taken back around 8am the doctor told my parents he would go into surgery within the hour. Well fast forward to 10pm te surgeon decides to show up and by then his appendix ruptured. A hospital stay that should have been 2-3 days turned into 2 weeks because of infection ans the stupid surgeon made us wait so long. When my brother was waiting for surgery my parents kept asking were is the doctor and of course it was nothing but excuse after excuse. Not only that the surgeon didnt talk to us till after the surgery to explain the procedure (Im a nurse myself and when your patient is a minor you are supposed to talk to the parent or guardian first) Overall this place is horrible but I do give a good rating forge peds nurses... they were really good and were on it
