I was an employee of Open and Affordable dental for the last few years. I have been in the dental field for 18 years, and this is the second worst dentist I have encountered. I have seen first hand the awful treatment given to the patients, where patients were squirming in pain while having work done. I have seen kids screaming because they are not numb enough, and he continues to pull the tooth. There is so much, it would take up pages to go into detail of his wrong doings. So I would highly recommend not going to this office, unless you want to be over treated, having treatment done that is way out of his realm, does not numb the patients properly, etc. etc....Oh, and be careful if the hygienist charts incorrectly he will cut into the wrong tooth. (This came directly out of his mouth to the hygienist he was trying to reprimand) Humm, dont you think the smart "Dentist" should know what tooth to cut into before starting treatment?? As the owner states, "they probably didnt learn that in school", thats the excuse I got for all his bad treatment to patients. The owner is very well aware of the treatment that is given to the patients in this office, and he choose to turn a blind eye to this, the entire staff has complained to the owner, and the treatment of the patients/staff that the dentist is giving, and he chooses to remove his staff from him, verses handling it. If I can just save one person from a horrible experience, Ive made the right decision about resigning from there!!

My husband and I had a good experience at this dental office. The staff is professional and friendly. The hygienist Lindsay Moser did an amazing job. I had a lot of issues with my gums and she was careful not to cause me further pain. Lindsay is experienced and that lends to feeling confident she is going to do an accurate job and she was patient and did a very nice cleaning. Plus recommended the toothpaste for my super sensitive teeth! Doctor Barkoff, DDS is a very genuine, caring professional dentist. He is a hard worker and very compassionate to each individual circumstance. Even with out dental insurance he was able to help with a discount for my husband and works with our very busy schedule as well. Both my husband and I have high fear levels and Dr. Barkoff was gentle, did a very good job, we had no pain during the actual drilling procedures. I did have some questions after the procedures when we got home and he answered my calls and questions and was not annoyed by me interrupting his day. Dr. Barkoff is a great dentist and a lovely person. We would definitely recommend Open and Affordable Dental in Brighton, Co.

My son and I had a wonderful experience at the Brighton office. Dr. Barkoff is approachable and kind, very genuine. A great chair-side manner, which I found refreshing. Dr Barkoff recommended a very small filling in a chipped tooth for my son. As opposed to selling us on same day treatment, and making other patients wait, he asked me to schedule on another day. I appreciate that he took his other patients previously schedule appointments into consideration. Having worked in the dental field, Ive seen my share of profit before patients mentality. The old "that patient whos been scheduled for months can wait an hour so I can get this other patient in to make more money", he didnt do that which gets a big thumbs up! Terri, our hygienist, was very sweet, did an awesome job and was super informative. Knowing Ive applied for hygiene school she even offered help if I ever needed it with schooling... So super cool! Charlotte, at the front desk, verified our insurance before we walked in the door. So helpful! Great experience overall, 5 stars! Well be back!

This dentist office is so amazing! You are treated with respect, care, compassion from the first phone call to the checkout. The dentist takes the time to explain and "show" you what is going on with your mouth/teeth. He sits down beside you and reviews the plan of what needs to happen, what they can do now and how we can get through the procedures. Takes the time to really understand how you feel about all of it, he even gives you his personal cell phone for further questions or a dental emergency! I havent felt this much compassion from a dental office EVER!! Thank you Open and Affordable Dentistry for making me feel so great about my dental health!

My Husband, Kenny says "Open and Affordable is what it says". It is open when we did it so we dont have to miss work to care for dental needs. The first visit was an emergency and I was treated with professionalism and friendliness. I never felt like was on an assembly line being rushed out of the office. The staff and especially Dr. Barkoff listened to my concerns and addressed them. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Barkoff is very professional and personal. Its more like going to a family dentist that you can develop a relationship with. I would recommend their services for anyone looking for a wonderful dentist.

I am not a great Dental patient, I have not had very good experiences with dentists in the past. I needed to find a new dentist, because going to Perfect teeth was another of those bad experiences! My husband and I both started with Dr. Barkoff about 2 mos. ago, both of us are very happy with the treatment by all staff and Dentist at Open and Affordable in Brighton. My treatment is all finished up now until my next cleaning, we looked at the ex-rays, set up a plan and now it is complete, all of the work that was done feels right and am very happy with the results!

Would recommend. Great staff, and Dr. Barkoff was very thorough and made me feel comfortable and informed. I Went in for a cleaning and discovered two cavities, one small and one large. Dr. Barkoff did an excellent job explaining my options and I felt very comfortable with his guidance. Ended up having to get a crown put on one tooth and overall it was as good an experience as I could have asked for at the dentist. Work was done quickly and the staff and doctor made it an easy environment. Thanks so much to the staff at Open and Affordable!

Is there such thing as dental bliss? If there is, it is here at Open and Affordable Dental. Dr. Barkoff and his staff are the most compassionate and efficient dental team I have ever experienced. I no longer feel nervous going to my appointments, stepping into this office feels like coming home to family. Dr. Barkoff has taken extra time to explain my treatment plan to me, and taught me about my different options. I now feel confidant that I am receiving the best care. Thanks to Dr. Barkoff and his team I have finally found a dental home!

My first time to this office I was so scared because I hadnt been to the dentist for regular visits due to chemo. I had chipped my back molar and myou teeth were super sensitive. Dr. Barkoff and the girls are so friendly and treat you like they have known you forever. I felt like my care was their top priority and I wasnt scared anymore. I have since taken my children for cleanings as well as one crown. Everyone is so kind, and down to earth. Open and Affordable Dental is just that, they are also our forever dentist!!
