Beware of Emergicare billing practices! I visited Emergicare 3 years ago for an ear infection. The doctor I saw gave me generic amoxicillin and ibuprofen. He gave me the wrong dosing instructions for the amoxicillin, but thats another story. The visit and the drugs were billed to my insurance. The drugs were billed as "supplies". My insurance asked Emergicare for more details about the "supplies", and that was the last I heard of it until about 6 months ago, when the Emergicare billing office contacted me and threatened to send the $75 "supply" bill to a collection agency. It turns out that they had audited their system and found the bill unpaid. I contacted my insurance, and their records showed that Emergicare had never resubmitted the bill with more detail. So I contacted Emergicare again and asked them to re-bill the insurance. They agreed, apologized that the problem had been in their court, and I hadnt heard anything for several months until I received a bill from a collection agency this week! The bill is now reduced to about $50. I do not leave my bills unpaid, and I would have followed up to see what happened with the insurance if I had been alerted to a problem.

I cant fault the care we received. However, they bill you like an emergency room visit when you get walk in clinic care. Perhaps, I just picked the wrong type of clinic? My family was vacationing in Colorado Springs and my daughter was running a fever. Since we were traveling they took the temperature of others in the family. I appreciate that because were about to head into the mountains and needed to address any problems then and there. What surprised me was getting a bill for a $123.66 office visit per family member - especially when they saw all of us at the same time vs. one at a time. Expect good care but expect a surprise when you get the bill.

I went here with what I thought was really painful spider bites. The Dr. spent all of 30 seconds with me, after making me wait for 20 minutes (the place was completely empty of patients except for me). He didnt listen to my symptoms of pain, cut me off, and said to take some antibiotics. After another week of incredible pain I found out I had shingles. What a waste of good insurance money and $20 in co-pay. I asked for my money back cause they were so lame and didnt correctly diagnose me, but of course that was a no go....

Came in for strep. The front desk receptionist ignored my second insurance and wouldnt say why. Didnt even look at it, its not like they dont accept it. The technican forgot to take some of my vitals (temperature and blood pressure). I can hear the other technicians arguing down the hall, and have been waiting for my strep culture results for an hour now (they said it would take 10).

Everything was good except for the execution of the x-ray of my foot and leg. The table was too high and the technician told me to "hop" up on the table. I didnt quite make it and nearly fell over. The technician made very little effort to help me. Then, when the technician went to put my boot on, the technician didnt undo all of the straps and hurt my foot by pushing the boot in.

The experience was great! However, the billing office did not attempt to bill my insurance, sent me to collections without a contact number to call and correct whatever information they had incorrect or to follow up that they had called my insurance. I was referred there by my insurance company. Never again!

Great staff. Was in very quickly. The Doctor was great and actually listened. A very comfortable place. Not rushed or hurried through. The Doctor actually called me a day later to check up on me. Great place.

My experience at Emergicare was a great one even for a dot physical. Most places I called had to have an appointment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was on my way very satisfied in less than a hour.

Love this facility. I was in with extreme pain from a whiplash accident and saw Dr. Weidner. He is a miracle worker. I would recommend him to everyone. Thanks Doc for helping me with my pain in the neck.
