The very first time I went there, was a good experience. The second time, this morning, I went and got seen fast. I told my doctor, what was happening and told him what I need done or at least something to help until I can get an appointment. I have fluid in my ears. He gave me nasal spray. He had no clue about ear problems. He searched online to find something to give me and found Flonase. I dont know where he could have found that. My mom and me have had this before and it doesnt work. I told him that. I also told him, Im very afraid of nasal sprays as the liquid going up my nose just scares me. He didnt seem to care about that. And sent me away. The doctor than asked if I saw my Primary Care doctor. I said yes. He said why not just go to her than? I said well because Evans isnt a very fast service. To go see and ENT would take me to get an appointment with my doctor, have a referral sent out, and then a month later would get the referral and then schedule an appointment to go see the ENT which takes a few weeks. So if you go here, and you have TRICARE, expect to pay 300$. They do a free screening, but to treat you, you have to pay 300$. They do not currently accept TRICARE. Also, I am 17, they didnt even notice or say anything untill after I saw the doctor. I didnt know my mom had to take off of work to come and sign some papers! They told me this after I signed everything! Otherwise I wouldnt have gone! Very upset having a doctor that knows nothing about the Army, tell me to go see my Primary Care doctor for this even after I had explained why I couldnt. My ears hurt! MY rate for pain is a 7! My pressure pain is terrible. It felt like a Q-tip was lodged into my ears and stuck there. His face, when I said that, was an I dont care face. Terrible doctor! I went to a short wait ER where I thought they would help me, not give me medication I told him not to give me and make me pay 300$ for it. Either way, I had to pay 300$ whether I took the medication or not. He didnt care about one thing that I wanted. The nurse gave me better advice! Because she is military. I left the ER crying my eyes out because all I wanted was the pain gone.

If you are military or spouse DO NOT GO HERE! I walked in with my 4 year old son bleeding very badly whom needed stitches. They would not take him because they do not accept Tricare. I aske what did they what mean you do not accept TriCare this is an emergency room and all emergency rooms will take TriCare. The nurse said to me that they were not really considered an emergency room and that they are privately owned. I asked then what the heck are you doing established just outside one of the largest military towns in the Country and why does your sign read EMERGENCY ROOM 24/7? Sounds like an emergency room to me! They dont even take BCBS or Medicare/Medicaid. I believe they want to attract cash paying customers. I was able to take my son to Childrens Memorial Hospital and they were amazing. I didnt even have to wait hours on end like you would at Evans. There is going to be a story apparently about this new establishment. They are not making friends in this community. I am very disappointed and thought this would be great for families in case of an emergency since it was so close to our home. There is a urgent care just behind the 7 eleven but the Dr recommended me taking my son the Childrens Memorial Hospital ER due to how bad the cut was and they didnt have the means to restrain him. I will not step foot in Evans ER if I can avoid it! There is allot of controversy about this new establishment and I will write a letter to this place of business. This isn’t a post to attract all kinds of negative/controversy posts it is just for informational purposes to make you aware in case you were not. I domnt know how this can have so many good posts but they are obviously not military or they are cash paying customers. Makes me think! Thank you.

-Reaction to medication given. - clean, polite, fast, efficient hospital! - bad pain management My Male nurse was extremely polite and I had a female doctor. She was orenentail I believe. She was very.. short with words or with me but she did her job and i felt she was very fast and efficient just maybe juggling a lot and Id rather her be fast then waste time and beds. She how ever didnt manage my pain well at all and I was in extreme pain from the moment I went in to the moment I left. Right before i was discharge, she injected Tordodal into my iv. She didnt go over any risk or symptoms of the medicine besides taking it with ibuprofen. My husband was worried when I got home that I had been overdosed, my face swelled, tongue, I got a rash on my body and couldnt pee and I was extremely disfunctioninal. The next day I woke up with swelling and harness of the stomach. I couldnt eating or drink because I was extremely full. I was vomiting and more. I thought I got hit by a bus I was so fatigue by Sunday. I also clasped on the floor twice yesterday. The cramping in my stomach made me stay in bed for now 4 days. After being extremely scared of everything happening after the visit with all new symptoms that I didnt have in the hospital at the time. My husband researched the medication giving to me. He said it all started when I got home I looked sick and out of it. He found every symptom on the warning for allergic reaction and side affects. So as much as I love the hospital for its cleaness, quickness, polite and fast treatment, Id be scared to receive medication from them because that medication has some serious side effects and way to many risk that werent mentioned. I had no clue what was happening to me.

Out of any Emergency Room I have been to for myself or a family member, this one hands down is the best! We are military and at times going on base is really hard to do and/or wait times are REALLY long. Today, my daughter put a rock in her ear and we were afraid of possible damage to it as it was giving her some discomfort. I was greeted by Tina and she had informed me that they do not take Tricare because Tricare does not recognize them. She asked me nicely to wait because she wanted to go talk to the doctor. They took us back and had me fill out paperwork while we sat in an ER Room waiting to see Dr. Ellias. Nurse Don took her vitals and also took the time to talk to my daughter and make her feel comfortable. She was all smiles because of them! They went above and beyond to make sure she was ready and comfortable before they proceeded to remove the rock from her ear. A few minutes later we got our discharged papers and headed to the front desk. The whole time inside my head I was freaking out because I know emergency room visits are NOT cheap. We approached the desk and Tina informed that there would be NO CHARGE. I almost started to cry right then and there. It is very very rare for someone to show such kindness. They genuinely cared about my daughters well being and making sure she was taken care of with a smile on her face. I highly recommend this place and will be contacting Tricare to talk to them about their service and how they should work with this facility. AMAZING TEAM! Thank you again Dr. Ellias, Nurse Don and Tina! The Paustian Family
