It was a traumatized experience for my 4 yo toddler and myself. We saw one of the older nurse practitioner. She was very rude and did not how to deal with kid. My 4yo son had not been to any dr office since his last check up at 3 years mark and with a short memory span of a kid, this visit was kind of a new experience for him. We prepped him a few days ahead and he was excited but also nervous. Once the nurse practitioner arrived in the exam room, I informed her right away that my son is a rather shy kid and he needs time to warm up. By this time I had undressed him and sit him on the exam bed, she went over to check his lung and heart and without a warning, place him onto the bed on his back. My kid was surpised by her sudden move and it was off to a bad start. He didnt want to cooperate anymore and tried to get up. The lady then manhandled my kid to keep him on his back and hold his head tightly with her hands so she can check the ear. He fought back so hard and cried/screamed out for help. She kept trying to force him down and blamed it on the kid for not being cooperative. I explained to her that we check his ears and nose regularly at home with no problem and this is not how he usually acts. My son struggled so hard, he bit his lip. once I saw blood I immediately told her to stop and told her "thats enough". She showed no empathy for the kid or the parent, kept repeating that this is normal. I had to hold myself back really hard to not scream at her that this is not normal, I have never seen my kid being scared and mandhandled by anyone before. She had zero concern/passion for the kid, talked down to parent and obviously does not know how to interact with kids. I wonder why shes working for a pediatric office. My son was shy but in noway a difficult kid to deal with. We have been taking him to his dentist regularly and he absolutely loves them for how nicely they treat and respect him. I called back and talk to dr Spoerke about the experience, and again our story was disregared. The dr kept telling me that these things happen and tried to convince me that I shouldnt feel the way I felt about her nurse. I would defenitely take my son to another office who treat us with respect

Denver Pediatrics claimed I had an outstanding balance of $634.05. In March of 2009, when this debt was first brought to my attention. I asked for invoices or statements supporting their claims and they couldn’t submit me with proof of the debt at that time for their claims of debt dated back to 02/01/2005, I asked them to send me the supporting documentation and I would review my records. And pay them if I indeed owed them money. I never received the information. Instead I was sent to Collections. My children were patients of Denver Pediatric since Feb 1997. I would take my children in at least once a year and the debt was never discussed until April of 2009. I have proof that the statements where being sent to the wrong address. After bringing this to their attention and trying to sit down with them to clear up this matter, they out right refused. I am writing this review, because I had to go through 4 years of personal records to prove I did not owe this amount. If you are a patient or plan on becoming a patient. I advise you to compare all your statements with your insurance Explanation of Benefits to make sure your records match Denver Pediatrics billing ledgers.

Terrible customer service from the door. The front desk staff is very rude. I was talked to like I was bothering them when I walked up to counter one employee was talking on a cell phone for a long time which seemed to be personal call. I then waited in the waiting room for 5 minutes and was taken back to the doctor area where the was 40 minutes! Dr. Susan E. Spoerke was the doctor I say and was VERY RUDE and unprofessional. Any questions I asked were answered very short and in an annoyed tone. The doctor talks down to patients and is very arrogant while providing short abrupt answers. Very short and not personable at all. I will not return.

HORRIBLE. The Dr. was rude the aid was even worse. No wonder my daughter hates going. Its a pediatric office yet no one that works there is good with kids. Been there twice hoping first visit was just an off day but looks like it always is this way. Get a new friendlier staff able to care for kids. I will never go back. Id rather spend an ER copay to have her checked for strep over that nightmare again.

Have taken all 3 of my kids here for several years and have never had a problem. When my kids have had serious health problems the doctors have called during after hours to check on the kids. Will continue to go to Denver Pediatrics.
