In November of 2015 I had the privilege to be invited to learn about the commitment to excellence Curt & Holly Foust, Owners of Home Instead Senior Care Denver North, possess for their client and caregivers. In an effort to be true leaders in their community and caring for residents old and young, they asked me to review their training for Alzheimers care and help them to be 100% compliant in their caregiving staff being qualified to work with people who are affected by this disease. The care was not just intended for the clients, but extended to their families as well. Home Instead Senior Care Denver North embarked in a training program for their staff which encompassed not only an initial 8 hour curriculum, but asking for additional assistance with training with home visits with clients and their caregivers, and one on one caregiver instruction. It then progressed to 4 hour training for all new orientation new hires. Not only was this commitment remarkable by industry standards, the staff reaction was epic. Caregivers began regularly calling me with their own observations, strategies and techniques, or asked for help, and then implemented what they had learned. As a person who has lived through this disease with a family member, and actively trains families and professionals in dementia education training, I could not be more impressed and deeply touched by the Fousts continued effort to provide the top pf the line, best possible care for all of those they serve. I promise you if I need help with a family member or even myself one day, I would not hesitate to call their office first and only. Sincerely, Jill Lorentz Owner, Summit Resilience Training - Dementia Education for Care Givers

To all of our Home Instead Caregivers and the Supporting Staff, I wanted to write a letter to simply say “thank-you” for all the care that you provided to my mom, Lois, and my family over the last several months. Each of you were so caring, compassionate, and kind as my mom’s Dementia/Alzheimer’s progressed. You were patient as my mom repeated her stories and questions over and over, each of you took time to help feed, bathe and clothe her as it became more difficult for her to take care of herself. You understood her needs and knew exactly what needed to be done. Thank-you for helping us, answering all my questions and concerns, and most of all caring for my mom. Thank you for being there in her final hours and being a strength to us as mom (Lois) passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus. We couldn’t made it through this time without you, we will be forever grateful! On behalf of my family, Doug

I have worked as a caregiver for this franchise for almost four years. I came to Home Instead during a time when unemployment was high and I had resigned from another position that was a bad fit for me and another one that their checks didnt clear. I needed dependable enjoyable employment. I found it at Home Instead. In the process, I met some truly inspirational and interesting seniors. The seniors I have cared for all have had amazing life stories to tell. I love hearing those stories and seeing them so happy to tell them. I didnt come to Home Instead because I had always wanted to be a caregiver but I have found that it is a good fit and I do enjoy spending time with and helping my special clients.

I have worked as a caregiver with Home Instead for just over three years, most of this time has been with Curt and Holly Foust as the owners. When they arrived, I found they brought with them genuine enthusiasm for the care which we provide to our clients and commitment to the training and support of the caregivers and staff. I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with many wonderful clients who have come from all backgrounds. These individuals have so much history and life to share and also have a wide variety of needs. In this job I get to help them remain as independent and vibrant as possible and get a chance to enjoy their company all at the same time. Its a win-win!

Ive been working with this company for a little while now and I just love it. The people in the office are so easy to work with and are always helpful in whatever my needs are. Im able to call or drop by and discuss whatever issues I may be having or get information I may need. Its sometimes hard to look at this as "a job". Its such a treat for me to spend time with the clients, helping them with their needs, talking to them, hearing their stories. This is the most fulfilling position Ive ever had. They bring such joy to my life. Im so glad I found Home Instead and would recommend them to anyone as a career or a place to take care of your loved ones.

We are able to keep mom at home because of Home Instead. My Dad used them for about a year to give him some free time. When he passed away last year, a caregiver came to the funeral. This was a very special and compassionate act. I have moved in with Mom to live with her and we continue to have Home Instead caregivers about 12-20 hours a week so that I may do things I need to. They have bent over backwards to accommodate my occasionally quirky life. They have been very knowledgeable about dementia, which is a big comfort. Thanks Home Instead!!! Mom would go downhill very fast if she had to be in an institution.

I have worked for Home Instead-North Denver for alittle over 4 yrs now,and I love it. I came at a time when I was looking for work, between jobs working at assisted livings. They are always willing to work around whatever schedule I have with my family and their going ons. The seniors I have worked with have been great, and I love my part in helping keep them in their own homes. With new owners recently, I have noticed that they are very hands on with the employees and the clients also. Thank you Home Instead for being there for your clients and employees.

I have been a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care for 14 years. I have worked for other companies and I feel Home Instead is superior to the others. My 91 yr. old Mom currently lives in an assisted care center in Golden, CO. Home Instead has provided her virtually all of her off-site transportation needs. Ms. Mary Edmundsen has been her regular driver, and she and my Mom have developed a very special bond. Home Instead has provided excellent services at a reasonable cost, and we are most appreciative of their efforts. Thanks for a job well done!
