I cant believe I didnt listen to ANY OF THE TERRIBLE reviews. I went here to meet with Gregg Rau, the physicians assistant. He was fine. He recommended I buy one of their very overpriced face washes, which I had an allergic reaction to after waking up the next morning with extremely swollen eyes. After calling the Savin Center asking, nicely for either a refund or to be able to exchange the facewash for another kind, I was told that my request would not be honored. "There is a sign up that says no refunds" I was told. I explained that I had used the facewash only once and that I wasnt asking for the world or I didnt even have to have a refund, just to be able to exchange it. I was also told that if I wanted to I could call tomorrow because Dr. Savin had already left for the day, but to tell you the truth he wouldnt honor this request. Oh, thats real nice. Great customer service. This place really is all about the money and nothing else. I will NEVER RETURN and I urge you all to do the same. And PS-doesnt it speak volumes that EVERY review is terrible? Who has time to write a review anyways? But they are so atrocious that you MAKE the time.

Dr. Savin is one of the rudest and most unprofessional physicians Ive ever had the misfortune to encounter. As a wealth of other reviews on this site (and others) seem to agree, the man lacks any sense of empathy for his patients and seems concerned only with moving people out the door as quickly as possible. My sister and I went to see him about ongoing problems with acne. My own skin condition turned out to be plexiform neurofibromas (possibly cancerous tumors), which a simple biopsy couldve informed him had he been able to summon the interest. While meeting with my sister, who was thirteen at the time, he said she had "ruined her face with a stupid habit." She began crying, which earned only more dismissive behavior: and despite their advertisement for a "free first consultation," they billed us $100 each after we left the center. Ive given serious thought to sending the entire payment in nickels and dimes on a sheet of duct tape; the time spent sticking them together would be more rewarding and beneficial than the time I spent in this mans office.

Years later and Im still thinking about how terrible Dr. Savin is as a doctor. I went there first with a wart on my toe that he twice cut into to remove when he should have gone to other treatments before doing something so extreme and painful (somehow, this also twice fell right before graduations in which I needed to walk. Go figure). I went to a generalist and asked about that same wart (never solved by his extreme treatments) and he said, Just wait it out, they usually dont last more than two years. Two years later and its gone on its own, though theres still scar tissue care of Dr. Savin. More than that, he is rude and unprofessional. I went to have him look at moles to make sure none were cancerous (my uncle had just passed from skin cancer). He asked me regarding a mole on my neck, "Do you want to know if this is cancerous or if its ugly?". I replied that I was asking if it was cancerous. "Its not cancerous," he said, "But it is ugly and I suggest you remove it.". What an a**hole. Possibly the worst doctor I have ever seen.

This is truly one of the BEST dermatology centers Ive ever been to. Dr. D is incredible, offering the highest level of professionalism and state of the art procedures. She is truly a gift. Greg Rau the on-site PA is amazing for any dermatology need. My family has been seeing him for years and he is really the best. Dr. Ronald Savin is also the best in the field. I wouldt trust any skin abnormality to anyone else. He is straightforward and you can fully trust his expertise. There is little chit chat, but the best of care. It should also be noted that the staff is incredible, always greeting you with a smile, and knowing you by name. Wait time is so short, you barely sit down before youre called in. I would highly recommend the Center to anyone. Chances are you will be as thrilled with the practice as my family and I have been for years.

Before I begin this review, let me say that Ive never dealt with Dr. Savin or Dr. Donofrio. All of my appointments have been with PA Gregory Rau. I have always found Mr. Rau to be a knowledgeable and compassionate physician. I have seen him at Savin Dermatology for two separate and unrelated medical problems. On both occasions, I received appointments almost immediately, and I dont think Ive ever spent more than 10 minutes in the waiting room. The nurses and office assistants, too, are very fast to call back their patients — probably the fastest of any doctors office that Ive been to in my life. Everyone was friendly, and there were no problems processing my insurance. For me, Savin Dermatology goes above and beyond what I expect from a normal doctors office — and thats all I can ask for.

I dont usually write reviews on these things but I felt bad at how much of a beating this office was taking. Ive been to a number of different dermatologists to treat a skin condition Ive had since I was a child. While in college this is the office I used and in my experience it was actually pretty decent. The nurses were always very nice to me as was the Dr I saw (it wasnt Savin himself, so I guess I cant speak to his personal quality, but his PA Greg was great). There are much much worse dermatology offices out there, this one isnt really bad at all.

My visit at the Savin Center was absolutely a waste of time, being that Dr. Savins expertise proved to be questionable. When I asked if he could provide me with a diagnosis, he outright said that he did not know. Perhaps he didnt, but why not recommend that I visit someone else to further diagnose my symptoms? His demeanor was very arrogant and patronizing. For someone that holds a degree in medicine from one of the most prestigous universities, I was higly appalled. I rate his service utterly laughable!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I had the WORST experience EVER at my appointment. Dr. Savin was very rude, dismissive and unprofessional. He made racist remarks when answering some of my questions. He didnt examine me and gave me the worst medical advice and I had to see another dermatologist to get the answers I needed. He is money hungry and just wanted to sell me his products. I had to pay a co-pay for NO SERVICE at all. I should have read reviews before going there. DO NOT GO HERE!!
