I have just moved to the New Haven area. My boyfriend and I came across Angel Animal Hospital on the internet and were attracted to the reasonable prices and good reviews. PLEASE dont be fooled like we were. GO SOMEWHERE else! The "excellent" service was a joke. First off, we made an appointment to have our dog neutered and were told nothing was available for two weeks. Fine, we made the apt. and waited. The night before we hadnt heard anything from the vet. When WE called to confirm, there was no history of our dogs appointment. I had cancelled work for that day and now had to reschedule and take off a different one. It seemed very odd and disorganized for a PROFESSIONAL office. Fine, we rescheduled. The day finally comes and I bring the dog to the vet. When we arrived, there were dogs being kept in the back of the building in cages outside. It was 91 degrees out. Again, not very professional. As we entered, there was no one in the office. Finally, a man came out of the back, no greeting, did not introduce himself and asks me to put my 65 lb dog on the scale. The dog, who is nervous from the squawking parrots in the corner, is having a hard time and the man is raising his voice at me, yelling at me to make my dog stand on the scale. Finally I told him to back off, calmed the dog down and got him on the scale. Next the man with no name, started taking my information down. I asked to pay for the procedure when I picked the dog up and he said "NO, and there are no exceptions." He also tacked on two shots for kennel cough and the flu at $30 each, unnecessary shots that really increased those "reasonable prices." Does my dog really need a flu shot in August? and a Kennel Cough shot for a DAY PROCEDURE? What kind of conditions will he be in once I leave? Not to mention that he would need 2 week follow up shots for MORE money. When I started to question him he suggested that I find someplace else. I took my dog and left. I found this man unbelievably rude and I wouldnt go back to this vet if my dog was dying on their sidewalk.

I took my dog there because she had a swollen eye. Dr. Saleh gave me two tiny bottles of eye drops and an antibiotic to give my dog, and told me to give her the eye drops together every four hours. He then typed the instructions on the receipt. A few days later I ran out of the drops and I called to ask him if she needed more or was she done, because the swelling in her eye had gone down. His wife answered the phone and told me that it was supposed to be a weeks worth of drops. She told me that I was supposed to be giving them to her every SIX hours. When I told her that the Dr. said every FOUR hours, she argued with me. When I went to pick up more drops, he said he needed to check her temp. He then told me that I was supposed to be giving her the drops every SIX hours, then I showed him what he had typed, he disregarded it. He then told me that I not only had to pay for the second set of drops, but also another office visit. He then increased her antibiotic pills, and told me to go out and buy a thermometer, and to take her temp. at home twice a day. So thats what I did. After a few days, my dog wouldnt eat any food because it seemed like every time I fed her, I had to put medication in her food, and she wouldnt eat. So I called Dr. Saleh, and he immediately started yelling at me, telling me that she needed the meds, so I asked for liquid meds, and he told me he needed to see her again, with another office charge.I asked why he needed to see her, and he said to take her temp. I told him that Ive been taking her temp twice a day like he asked me to, and he told me that he couldnt rely on that, and he needed to see her again. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I then contacted another vet, and they told me that they could just give her a shot of antibiotics that will last a full week for $65. and I wouldnt have to feed her anything. My dog almost died of starvation and I had already spent over $300 at Angel Animal Hospital. DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS THERE! THE OTHER POSITIVE REVIEWS MUST BE BY PEOPLE HE KNOWS!

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE, i wish i had seen these reviews before i took my rabbit there. I cancelled an app. with a reputable rabbit vet in Stratford to go them they said they did rabbits. He gave my rabbit amoxicillin which i read later that night is toxic to rabbits they die from it. So 10:00 at night i call the South Wilton Vet Hosp, rush my rabbit to the South Wilton Vet Hospital the best rabbit vet in Conn was on duty that night Dr. Lamb she was GREAT she opened up the place for me she said this is very very bad they can die. she could not believe any vet would give a rabbit amoxicillin $300 later my bunny seems to be doing fine. I called them the next day the wife said no no we give to rabbits i said you could have killed him and we still dont know if he will be ok she said you give me her name i call her she is wrong. I said yeah the best rabbit vet in conn. is wrong. Any problems if you can go to the South Wilton Vet Hosp i HIGHLY recommend them. She opened up the place 10:00 at night just to see me this is how bad it was. Dr. Lamb was great she knew everything about rabbits. I am taking this no good bastard to Small Claims Court my poor rabbit could have died a horrible death if not for the wonderful Dr. Lamb. Hoping he will be ok.

I have been employed with Angel Animal Hospital, going on for 2 years now. Reading the negative comments really effects me personally. Doctor Saleh is truly the only veterinarian I trust. It is not because I work for him, but I see his work first hand, he is very clean and aims for perfection at every procedure and case he comes across. He cares for his patients very much. He has been practicing veterinary medicine for 40+ years, and the experience and knowledge he has obtained is phenomenal. He saved my dogs life, by acknowledging things her previous vet seemed to ignore. He does everything in his power to care for all of the animals that walk through his doors. He cares for his clients, he lets them know the options they have, what he has had luck with, and what can help them best financially. He does not do unnecessary things to put money in his pocket, that is just not the kind of person he is. If you have had a bad experience with us, I highly suggest you come back and give us another shot. Doctor Saleh is truly the most compassionate, and trustworthy veterinarian I have ever come across. He is more than my vet, or my boss, he is my family! I have watched with my own eyes him save countless lives, and I admire his dedication!
