It is with deep regret that we write this review today. We have been with this practice at this location since the beginning. Our first optometrist was Dr. Teresa Grillo and the office manager, Ms. Sharon! When Dr. Grillo moved to the MD area, we were disappointed but Dr. Gill was a nice replacement and Ms. Sharon was still managing the office. The three aforementioned professionals have literally been a part of our "family" as they have serviced our entire family of 6 and watched our children from grade school - college graduates! We were always treated professionally and with respect. No negatives…until today. I had an appointment scheduled for today (7/21/17) at 945am. Due to car trouble I arrived at the office at 957am. Shame on me...I was 2 minutes passed their 10min grace period. I signed in and my husband asked Leana if they had any cancellations for today. She told him to sign in. We sat in an empty waiting room for at least 10mins before a family of three arrived for one appointment. We were then called to the counter at 1015am to be advised that I would not be able to be seen today because I was beyond their grace period by 2 mins and that would back up their schedule. I then questioned the fact that no one was in the office, expressing that I could certainly understand if the waiting room had more than 1 patient waiting. Leana unmoved by that fact proceeded to curtly offer me an appointment for next Friday. We accepted and left the office. Deeply troubled that I, the patient, was not afforded a one time exception of having “life happen”…I returned to the office requested my entire families Rx. A professional would have informed a patient upon arrival, or displayed empathy and attempted to maintain the relationship with the patient(s), especially a loyal patient. When I did not see this displayed in Leana (office manager) nor Lesley (assistant manager), I knew it was time to part ways. To the office staff, you are the face of the practice, you determine the quantity and quality of patients that will keep you employed.

At the Eye Doctor with my daughter today because she broke her glasses and needed to get them replaced. My 3 year old is whining in the lobby because she wants glasses too. The Dr comes out from the back. Some bimbo looking chick in really high hot pink stiletto heels, hot pink lipstick and a lab coat with an outfit short enough that looked like she had nothing else on under it, asks my daughter why shes crying. I explained that she was upset because she wanted glasses like her sister. She looks at my daughter and says, "Oh, well youre welcome to cry outside if youd like." My daughter looks at her and just keeps crying. So she proceeds to tell her that if she keeps crying like that her face is going to stay ugly like that." My daughter keeps crying. The lady opens her mouth to say something else and I cut her off real quick. "Shes 3. Thats what 3 year olds do. They cry when they dont get what they want. But you know if you would just not acknowledge her crying she will probably get over it faster." She looked at me from the top of her glasses and I looked at her from the top of mine daring her to say another word to my kid. Then she swiveled around on her bimbo heels and clicked her butt back into her office...I have zero tolerance for "adults" that are not mature enough to acknowledge that a child is allowed to act like a child. She was not pitching a fit, she was crying. And since she is a child that hasnt yet developed the proper coping mechanisms for when she doesnt get what she wants, its up to the adults around them to act like freaking adults and give her a moment. That little twit will hopefully think twice before she teases someone elses child. Needless to say I will not go back here. Total lack of professionalism from teasing a child to her hoochie outfit. However the front staff was very nice and helpful.

This place is messed up. When we ordered my daughters glasses it took over a month and a half for them to come in because the lab kept loosing them according to the manager. The lab lost them twice. How is that even possible?? Why would they continue to do business with a lab like that? So, I forgave this nonsense and gave them another try. Recently I went in for an eye exam for myself and the doctor tells me I need reading glasses. I told them Ive never had glasses before. Then they recommend progressive lenses which have 3 prescriptions in one lens so you can read, see a computer or look long distance without taking them off. Totally overkill for a first pair of lenses for someone who only needed reading lenses for small print which is occassional. After 3 weeks went by I cant see the computer with the glasses on so I went back & told them I hated these glasses and dont need glasses for computer, I can see the computer fine with no glasses....all I needed was reading glasses (normal basic lens) and find out that they expect me to pay for these progressive lenses even though I cant see out of them. Progressive lenses are a lot more money ($125) more than the basic lens that I needed. They are willing to give me the basic lens I need but will charge me for the other progressive lens. This manager talks people into more expensive lenses than what they really need and I think that is very manuplative. She is convinced that everyone needs progressive lenses. I can read normal print fine, I can see a computer fine & I can see farther than my 12 year old. All I needed was reading glasses for small print. I still do not have glasses I can see out of. The ones they gave me sit in the drawer. What a waste of money & time.

I made an appt for first thing on a Saturday Morning...BIG MISTAKE (cause they didnt mention that no matter what time your appt is you WILL BE WAITING FOR OVER AN HOUR) This was the norm for this place b/c I had three separate appts and all three I had to wait! Not to mention each time I saw a different doctor (and NONE of them was the woman in the picture of their ad) Then I dialited my eyes BEFORE i picked out glasses which was fun - Thank God I had my husband to help with the picking out. The so called receptionist "Erin" was a total and completely RUDE Bit*h...I asked her what was covered by insurance and she acted like I was bothering her - then what I thought was covered - she insisted that it wasnt- WHEN I GOT HOME and called the insurance company they said My visits were covered - THEN OF COURSE I called back (not happy) and received a "Credit" towards my contact and glasses purchase - but if she had taken the time to do her job and been a little bit nicer then it would have been better - The receptionist alone made the place suck - then adding in the hour long wait and a different doctor each time - WILL NEVER GO BACK. The office manager did FIANALLY CORRECT THINGS - but I had to call my insurance company and would have just gone to someone else except they of course CHARGED my insurance company right away along with me (talk about a scam) in the end I did get my credit - BUT THE HASSEL AND THE RUDE ATTITUTE OF THE STAFF -BEWARE IS RIGHT - AND I wasnt the only one complaining...THERE ARE BETTER PLACES PEOPLE SO LOOK ELSEWHERE.. In these hard economic times there are lots of people looking for jobs - and they are in customer service so they need to be NICE - or be replaced. The one star is too much!!!!
